I would suggest that if you take up photography as a career, you might question yourself what would happen if you didnt just take photos of coasters. Do you really love photography or is it coasters? If your answer is really coasters, then maybe you should expand your interest in that. Look into engineering/design careers...which is beneficial even if you dont go into coaster designing. Photography is a tough field...there are a lot of people that make it a career...it also can be a fleeting career...your hot at one minute, then you get creatively burned out. I do wedding videography....its a side career that I turned a hobby into a profitable part time job.

Is that the same Conestoga Wagon as the one that used to reside in Hershey? -
I'm not sure where to start.... My f/t job that I have been in for over 6 years is a recruiter, so I have a bit of insight into the job market. Herc, it seems like you have a bit of experience....and I'm not sure what you are looking for...be careful that the employer isn’t under the same impression that I am. Most people make the mistake of creating vague resumes that don’t market the position that the posting is for. Such as looking for an inside sales position but you have marketing experience. It might seem like the same, but I have spoken to a lot of people that aren’t into sales. You're looking for a management spot...may I ask what is your background...is it retail or corporate? Most corporate companies are looking to promote within. So if you are looking for a steady paycheck, outside of sales...maybe data entry/customer service. What kind of hours are you looking to work? If you are going to school and are looking for p/t work, your pickings are going to be even slimmer. Have you priced yourself competitively? Are you going in with very high expectations? Have you've reposted your resume on the job boards? Is your title/objective too weird? My biggest bit of advice is to set realistic expectations and send a quality thank you note to the person that you are meeting with. Hope some of this helps. If you want to send me a copy of your resume too look over, feel free to PM me.

Good topic. I would go on Rolling Thunder at Great Adventure b/c its the only coaster that my whole family would go on (mom's afraid of big coasters). -

^ I understand where you are coming from, but those other avenues were put there to appeal to other audiences. Before pirates of the caribbean, there were no real "boy" merchandise. Now they have the pirates, the place is flooded with merchandise. Just supply and demand. You were eight when you last went there. As a child, what would you've like to have seen? -
Didnt read all the way through...sorry, just trying to keep the peace.

Abortion is a touchy subject in the US...it pursuades voters...people kill over it. I think its a bit off topic and the topic itself is a hot button.
-
^Eh, touchy subject...I must say that if you want to stay on topic...you might want to revise that.

If you go on Friday...plan to leave VERY early. Your idea of leaving at 7:30 might do you good since the turnpike can be brutal. Especially on Fridays since those pesky NY'ers are cluttering up the roads. If you are hungry...I would suggest stopping at the Wawa outside of the park. If they are serving it, they have the most awesome Mac and Cheese. Actually, all the food is pretty darn good (for a convenience store)....they have breakfast sandwiches and a deli counter to make sandwiches to order. Good Luck

^Please share that recipe.

^Native Americans respected animals and nature...they never claimed to have a loved them and they demonstrated that respect when they killed an animal, they utilized every part of it. This isn’t a debate about humans...and you are right, people should care for them just as well. I don’t understand is how is not caring for humanity synonymous with being a vegetarian/vegan?

No A&W in the UK??!!! Another brand to try is Stewarts, it is fantastic. Can you get Birch Beer??
-
^No. Farm animals. I don't see myself as holier than thou...I just wished that people would be honest b/c it is insulting to me when a person says that they love animals even though they know exactly what it took to get a steak their plate. I made a commitment to a cause that I feel strongly for...I truly find animals to be these amazing mysterious creatures with feelings and thoughts that we don't understand. It just bothers me when someone says that they like animals...my thinking is then why don't you show it

That's called a typo, I'm sure you've never had one. I was pointing out his repeated flawed punctiation in multiple posts. You guys can take cheap shots all day, I don't really care. Just thought that it was ironic...lighten up. BTW---its spelled: p-u-n-c-t-u-a-t-i-o-n -
No offense, but this is the kind of snobbery I can't stand. It's not an either/or situation. People can still care about something, but maybe not on the same level. Just because I eat meat doesn't mean I don't care at all about animals or the environment. It's arrogant arguments like your's that carry the negative stereotype and make it seem like vegetarians think they are better than everybody else. Its not being arrogant, I believe in saying: actions speak louder then words. We are both are allowed to have points of view that look at things/beliefs. I just cant believe somebody when they claim that they love animals in one breath and then goes ahead and eats/wears them. Thats all.
-
I've been a vegetarian for 15 years...I started when I was 12 b/c I felt that what is being done to animals is wrong. Its a part of who I am....I like the food I eat and I dont care of what others are eating (except for my bf). People drive me nuts when they say that they love animals as they are chomping on a leg of lamb. It’s the contradiction that bothers me. People can have their choice as to what they want to eat...but I can’t believe that a person cares about animals and the environment when they are eating meat or wearing fur/leather. I think the reason why people get hung up on others being vegans and vegetarians and vis-à-vis, is that people don’t like those who are different and they want to bully others into their beliefs. I end the conversations that turn a positive thing such as eating better for me and the environment into a debate on which diet is better.
