  1. ^I think Death Machine would be an accurate term. The only thing I liked about this was how you were able to eliminate the colliding prefab supports with the loop. I could never do that. But in terms of the track itself, even from the front seat i oculd see that the ride was extremely poorly done in terms of smoothness. The MCBR's braking was extremely rough, and there was a lateral G spike at the bottom of the drop after the MCBR. Nearing the end of the ride, the pacing got pretty slow, overall, it wasn't that great.
  2. ^If not, keep NL 1.7 until you recreate them in 2.0 - write down the X Y and Z coordinates for each point, and there you go, a perfect copy! But you might have to recreate the supports from scratch, and if you have any Spaghetti Bowls, you will probably be very pissed. (Support work is the main reason why I VERY rarely do Spaghetti Bowls.)
  3. ^^^ Very interesting. Do I see a double drop in there?
  4. ^It has less than 800 feet of track. If it took more than a few weeks I would be very surprised.
  5. This is definitely a high quality park. I like the extensive detail put into this! And you even used the Klinn's Framework CS pack. That pack has a crap load of uses (along with JCat's Steelworx and Spaceworx, and shy's Main Street and Expo 3000 sets.)
  6. ^ Actually, that isn't an in house built ride. It is made by a real ride company. I remember someone on here getting ticked because people kept calling the ride something made from Rednecks, when in fact it is an actual park. But since I have yet to travel out of the GMT-5 Timezone, (East Coast USA) my opinion of Diggerland is nonexistent.
  7. Spongebob is looking like an awesome roller coaster now! If only I could convince my mom to bring me to MoA the next time she goes there. And Valleyfair as well. -Tanks "If only I could sharpie up those water dummies, I have so many ideas!" 4me05.
  8. Sorry for the double post, but the reconstruction is complete! New pics! The general style was unchanged (of the six entrance plaza buildings.) The entrance plaza buildings used the same architectural style because I wanted a consistency of theme in the front of the park, kind of like Tudor Square at Hersheypark or Main Street USA at WDW's Magic Kingdom. However, the new updates will have more of different architecture - I like to build parks that progressively blend the styles from one to the other as we progress to the back of the park - I see park building not only as fun, but as an art form. Instead of a paintbrush, paint and a canvas, I use a Keyboard, a Mouse and a (basic, integrated) graphics card. For the entrance, some little extra stuff was added. You will see these plants placed sporadically around the park. I placed some haning gardens inside the entrance. I wanted to put flowers in there as well, but you can only put flowers on ground level. I added a little extra something near the entrance bridges. I like this pic. It really shows the atmosphere of the park. Halcyon Gifts was the shop that underwent the most renovations during the reconstruction. For example, the glass wall thing on the side here. This is the renovated inside of Halcyon Gifts. The interior garden was made larger. Here is a pic of Blue Thunder - the launching B&M Stand Up Coaster. Ride logo coming soon. Here we are walking into Blue Thunder's queue. Here we are, climbing the ramp that goes into Blue Thunder's station. Almost there. Woohoo! We are in the station! (The door on the side was deliberately put there - it's the ride op's glass enclosed booth. No, this is not an RCT4 screenshot of increased detail, the LIMS here (and the friction wheels, and the brake fins) are part of a custom scenery pack. My god, there is heck of a lot you can do with custom scenery. Ok, here is your first real pic of Blue Thunder in all her B&M glory and awesomeness. More pictures of B&M's second launched coaster. Blue Thunder again. This is the back of the entrance - I put in a three tiered garden. This is the final brake run - it even has a maintenance/evacuation path with a gate blocking the way from the GP. Another pic of Blue Thunder and her station. A better pic of Blue Thunder's station. I think it turned out very nicely. All the six buildings and two rides were successfully reconstructed, but they were rebuild much closer to their original form - since they are almost exactly the same, I felt that taking pictures of the rest of the park, as it would be technically the same stuff - that would have been a redundancy.
  9. There has been a large influx of talented beginners recently. This is very good for a first park! Keep up the good work! Interesting park name, too.
  10. I would request to join and would very much appreciate it. It's about time someone tries to revitalize the B&M Stand Up - I feel they haven't been brought to their potential.
  11. ^ If you go there, could you make a trip to Salitre Magico sometime, like you said (and do a photo TR)? - Tanks "I haven't seen Quantum Loop in five years, GIVE ME PICS! " 4me05. On the other hand, regarding Vertigo Park, I am surprised that this (along with Hard Rock Park and Siam Park) is coming along so well. The reason is that there have been a crap load of amusement parks in the last two years that have had ideas on the drawing board but never became fully realized.
  12. All shall praise the ultimate sacrosanct being - The Title Fairy. The Title Fairy has given us a light in our darkest times, our title, our identity, and justifiably uses this hallowed power unto which whomever the title fairy chooses. The Title Fairy is our god, the one who keeps us in line, unifies us, enlightens us, helps us. However, oh venerated one, I ask but one infinitesimally minor favor of thee: I am to request that my title to be changed to "Future founder of Strata Thrills Company".
  13. Ok, since Waldameer is almost directly on the route to Cedar Point from where I live (roughly the half way point) I'm planning to head out by about 7:00 AM, arrive at Waldameer at about 10:00, and stay there until 5 PM. Once I leave, I head over to Cedar Point and arrive there by 8:00 to 9:00 PM. I already went to Cedar Point before, so I know what to do there. But Waldameer I haven't been to before. Looking at their main website, it looks like a small park. So, would I be able to ride everything in about 7 hours? They are getting a relatively large Gravity Group for this year, but I can't imagine the park having much more attendance than Seabreeze (which I can ride everything in about 3 - 4 hours with re rides.) Questions: 1: How bad are the crowds at the end of June to early July? 2: Is it possible to ride the major and a nice amount of the family rides with some re rides in about 7 hours? 3: Where are the best places to eat in the park? 4: How good is their waterpark? 5: What is the general "atmosphere" of the park? (Seabreeze is cool, calm, relaxing, and just a day of fun, Sylvan Beach is a time machine to the 1940's - 1960's, and Cedar Point is big, huge, legendary, and exciting.) 6: Are there any weird/uncommon rules I should be aware of? 7: Are there some "little things" in the park that make the visit extra special? (Sylvan Beach - I take a picture of the Shooting Gallery with the flash on, and every single target lights up and makes sounds - it's a great practical joke to do on unsuspecting nearby guests.) 8: Are there any "magic seats" (best seats on the coasters or flats) besides the front and back?
  14. Once we get to Blue Thunder's Station, the architecture changes. It will get more varied. It's just that for the entrance plaza, I wanted a consistency of style - it is extremely difficult to keep in this similar style but not going into "random futuristic styles."
  15. ^ Probably in a week or so... a few posts above you just said that the water dummies just arrived. (I always wanted to sharpie a face on one of those - maybe a random park will allow some of us TPRers to do that on a random trip during the nearing completion of a new ride. They did let you guys put nails and sharpie up Balder, you know. -Tanks "rousea, aren't you on wnycoasters?" 4me05.
  16. ^ It's practically brand new. It would probably take a decade with minimum maintenance for any roughness to happen.
  17. Question #2: http://www.rct-theme-world.de/rct-liste/complete-list.htm The list is updated every month. There's a couple of gigs worth of scenery there. So be patient, as it will take a few days of constant work to download it all. There are still several links that don't work, but there are so many CS packs that it won't matter.
  18. Just for the record, since the ride is not on a fixed track, the trick track on Twisted Bark is pointless - the train will travel through it simply as a flat section. Although Woodpecker looks nice.
  19. Sorry for the double post, but I'm bumping this thread. Here is a little teaser until the reconstruction of Adventure Gardens is complete. I should be finished by Monday.
  20. First is the TPR forums, next up is Kidtums... good luck with that. It brings a whole new meaning to TPR Bag o' Crap, doesn't it? *Makes a second roller coaster shaped cake with extreme tasty awesomeness, and eats it all in front of everyone else to see the raving looks of hunger on everyone's face, especially Robb's and doesn't give $20.* Anyway, 3 years, 25,742 members, and (as of the minute I post this) 20,117 topics and 441,028 posts excluding the private TPR trip forums. Keep it going! (I'll try to celebrate once we get past 1,000,000 posts.)
  21. I suggest that you should eliminate the bunny hops at the end of Twisted Bark. Since Bobsled Coasters have no upstop wheels, basically any airtime at all on will dramaticaly increase the risk (in the case of Twisted Bark, to 100%) of the train flying off the tracks and into the surrounding trees.
  22. What's the theme of the park? I can't tell if it's traditional German architecture, old style New England, Netherlands or Italian/Venetian. Once the theme has been clarified (sp?) for myself, I can then come up with some names for the park. On the side of theming, for your first RCT3 park, this is frikin amazing! Even for experienced RCT3 designers, this is really good!
  23. ^ Trust me, I know that these games are for fun. I'm just giving suggestions to "improve the experience."
  24. A couple of tips to hopefully bring more people to the thread: 1: Change the topic description to advertise whene a new update is posted 2: When building your park, look at the entire park, and try to put as much extensive detail into the park as possible - for example, adding menus and table to yor restaurants, adding catwalks and transfer track sections to your coasters, etc. Otherwise, it's actualy pretty good, but I think the Shuttle Coaster's station should be a bit more elaborate.
