  1. 1: The constant influx of updates - for example, [hint]the video contest results.[/hint] 2: Probably special features. But that's not to say I don't like it. 3: Nuttin. 4: Almost never. 5: Whenever I access the site. 6: I completely forgot about it - for about 2+ years. IMO the What's New link is a redundancy as it shows exactly what's on the front page. 7: A very large (permanent) message stating that Sylvan Beach is the supreme park on the planet. 8: Read above statement. In all seriousness, the "icons" in our forum, for example, the SpellCheck button, is just a white box, with black outline and black text. Almost all the buttons are like that. It's kinds boring. Could you change it to be more creative? It's been bugging me for a while. An example of a cool button is the quote button that you see when you are not posting a reply - being a black box with rounded edges, gold outlining, gold text and a bit of a 3D effect.
  2. ^I'll take the next turn. Maybe you should edit the topic's description to advertise that the next round of turns is open. EDIT: In making my element, I used NL's smoother for the last segment of the last person's turn (the yellow boost/overbanked turn) to make the transition smoother, and increased the lateral banking by 20 degrees to avoid a G Spike. Is that allowed?
  3. Probably 90% of my posts on TPR when I was as "Tanks4me." Due to my inexperience at forums, I simply did not know how to post. Luckily, after a 1.5 year amnesty period, (and joining of at least half a dozen other forums and logging in over 1,500 combined posts - most of them good) I finally got the ropes. One of the posts that I remember most vividly was "42" WHAT? OH MY GOD, THAT FREAKING SUCKS!!!" I think that was referring to the height requirement for Splash Mountain at WDW, but I can't remember for sure. (I didn't realize that Robb edited my posts as I didn't read them, I just read the rest of the topic, so most of the warnings had gone unnoticed. I thought he would just PM me.) I think all my rabid ravings about Hercules actually being good are honorable mentions. (I still do them to this day, except I don't use caps. ) I would quote the times I didn't read the forums carefully in regards to the recent times, but I feel that this is much worse. At least when I failed to read, I tried to read.
  4. I went in February 2005, and I used the single rider line. But now, that I actually care for the back seat, I probably won't use the single rider line unless for extreme occasions. Or if a one car train is trying to be filled up - like Whirlwind at Seabreeze or Wildcat at Cedar Point, then I won't care. (I definitely take single rider lines for Dr. Doom's Fear Fall. It took a 15 - 25 minute+ line down to 5 minutes.) But, it does cut lines. A lot. By a factor of at least 5 or 6. Barry, does Dr. Doom's Fear Fall still have a single rider line? I went in February 2005 and took great advantage of it.
  5. The Flying Turns looks interesting, but with the sheer size of the ride, the supports make it really look like an eyesore - or at least REALLY unrealistic. Otherwise, I really like the park, it seems a lot like the pictures of an Australian park that I saw on rcdb. Somehow, the "simplicity" of the park gives it an interesting character - not too elaborate buildings, scenery, etc. Simple, yet effective.
  6. Definitely me. I would prefer to sign up for the next round.
  7. I thank thee very highly for your help. It is much appreciated.
  8. *Hopes for Villain Themed Thrill Park to be true.*
  9. I apologize for double posting, but I just looked at the coaster again, and after a lot of thinking, (and some very minor changes that took about two minutes) I honestly think that the system can hold itself together, even with 16 large people in the seats.
  10. I've been using Ctrl G. But for other than making "beyond 270 degree rolls, but less than 360 degree rolls" I never found another use for Continuous Roll. I also do lateral Heartlining, but I don't know how to do "vertical" heartlining. And the thing is I have had NL for FOUR YEARS, so why the heck are my designs still sub par after so many years of practice?!
  11. Ok, I'm making an Intamin Accelerator and the top has way too much airtime at around -3.5 G's. How can I shape it to get -1.6 G's? (I want major airtime, but not painful airtime.) I looked at Storm Runner's Top Hat and I tried to make the curve less parabolic, but I want to keep the track between 190 and 205 feet high. Here is the download: Maelstrom.nltrack
  12. That just made my day. Either you are a complete idiot (no offense) or I magically got better at NL. (My designs will always be hand made - the NL Elementary is way too confusing, and this is coming from a 15 year old who made the Shuriken Coaster on a professional CAD program.) My designs were infamous for the amount of not smoothness. The other TPRers on here that are also Coasterfuelers can aid in the proof of my statement.
  13. Front Lines: Fuel of War - Xbox 360. Right now, I'm still reading all the background info, which it is pretty detailed. But is doesn't hold a candle to the mass amounts of info that Mass Effect's Codex has. What is unique about this game is it's plot line: it, along with the development of the vehicles and weapons, is thought out in a very logical (and frighteningly) realistic manner. What I mean frightening is that hundreds of millions die from pandemics, the fuel supplies are running out (the main cause of war) food shortages from over populations, with starvation being commonplace, most of the middle east a nuclear deadzone from the "regional" wars, a permanent global economic depression, global warming creating Category 6 hurricanes, most democratic countries turned away from civil rights and being turned into militaristic police states to protect themselves from upcoming war, holy crap the list goes on.
  14. I have a bunch: 1: When I was about 18 months old or so, I rolled a Grapefruit down the stairs and said "Ball, bounce!" 2: When I was about two or three, I threw my dad's (video I think) camera battery in the Chittenango Falls, and I kept saying "Boat!" 3: When I was three, I tried to see how many pretzels I could fit in my dad's Guitar.
  15. The first picture was weird. The car with the WOU 250 liscence plate nearing the bottom was REALLY weird. It reminded me of the Tuk - Tuk's that I ran over in the Burnout games for my Xbox and Xbox 360.
  16. Worst sledding experience: When I was about 8 or so, there was a sledding hill that was kinda dangerous as there were a nice amount of trees on the sides and loads of thorny bushes at the end. Some people built a ramp, and I went over it, but I accidentally landed on a kid who was lying under the ramp, who was injured. His hip was broken, and I may have aggravated the injuries. But the thing is that I used an Inner Tube, which those things go FAST, and you can't steer it. Not only that, I couldn't see him at all. The ramp was two to three feet high, and his friends still yelled at me. I had no way of preventing it given the situations.
  17. Wheat by Pete Warren. I have a feeling I'm the only person on this entire forum who knows who Pete Warren is.
  18. I can see why TTD wouldn't run in any sort of rain. During the 2007 ACE event at Lake Compounce, it rained. Sure it was A LOT of rain for a few hours, but during my ride on Boulder Dash during the day, it hurt. A lot. There was even a nice amount of trees covering the ride, although there was a bit of a gap between the trees directly over the track. And that was with some trees. And Boulder Dash runs HALF as fast as TTD. Imagine riding TTD in the rain. Holy crap that would hurt like freaking crazy. Sure it's only twenty seconds compared to Dash's 1.5 - 2 minutes, but still... Other than TTD, Raptor, DT and Gemini as there are real safety concerns, I can't see any other ride in the park closing except for lightning. This better be changed.
  19. ^ I know Dollywood closes rides if it gets below a certain temperature, but what is that temperature specifically?
  20. ^ To be honest, no. I had Autodesk Inventor 2008 running at the time, and it EATS up the framerate of NL if it's also running. Even then, my computer takes a good 10 - 20 minutes for the framerate to pick up back to normal speed - after I quit the program. *Downloads Stasiphobia.* The layout was fun, and there were a couple of yellow G moments (thank you.) Anyway, here is my upload, Furchtbahn. It is much less forceful than most of my designs, as there are only a couple of yellow G moments. At least half of the "G moments" on my rides are usually yellow. But at least the pacing is good as is most of my rides. Yes, it is a Boosting B&M Stand Up. Logo: Furchtbahn.nltrack Here is my entry, Furchtbahn. Feel free to comment on the ride.
  21. Does anyone know how bad the rain is in late June to early July for the CP area? I know I'm not going until 2009 because of the CW trip, and I got a fully sunny trip when I went in 2004, but maybe I caught CP on a good day. So, what is the usual at that time a year? My god, what the heck is Cedar Fair thinking?
  22. ^ On August 3rd, what park are you visiting first? DL or MFI?
  23. All green G's... Honestly, would you want to ride a 2.5 G coaster or a 4.5 - 5 G coaster?
  24. In the last pic, it looks liketheguy is crapping through his pants. Look closely.
