  1. So, Jahan, what exactly is your position at SFMM? *Someone will probably say that there was a post somewhere that I didn't read.*
  2. Barry's AT: It was kind of funny (the Elissa stuff) but the footage didn't seem as "active" or fast paced as I think it could have been, and IMO you could have chosen a different song. Darren's Mid West: IMO this is my favorite along with Dave's UK video: Both had nice coaster shots, and both were really funny. Dave's UK: In terms of humor, this one was the best. The Barry commercial was a nice touch. (Although that bare's some uncanny resemblance to what I have in mind for my Sylvan Beach video for next year's video, although I'm not revealing specifics.) And the Derek segment was funny as well. IMO Derek is probably the craziest member on TPR, which makes for some hilarious TPR vids. (I distinctly remember him sticking an ice cream cone up his nose during the 2006 TPR Sarkanniemi video.) Kevin's CP: This one had the best coaster footage, IMO, and I liked the beginning, but the beginning was still too long. It should have been cut down to about a minute, not two. An "no frills" coaster video - its nice to have a bit of variety. Pam and Brian's Knoebels PPP: What I really liked about this is that it captured the atmosphere of Knoebels quite well, I just wish more Twister, Phoenix and Flying Turns shots could have been taken, even though Flying Turns is still under ocnstruction.
  3. dr.gumbo, update on the topic description that it's being sent to coasterfuel.com and that the TPR entries are now closed. Here is the link to the thread: http://coasterfuel.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=2325 All the rules, reccomendations and suggestions you wanted have been posted, except I repealed the "five person per round" rule - I felt that a "roundless" Track Tennis may gain more people.
  4. ^Oh, I have a feeling he will get the credit one way or another.
  5. Best... idea... ever. Das ist alles Ich muss für diese ausgezeichnete neuerfindung sagen. -Tanks "Ich noch hoffe meine Deutsche Grammatik ist stimmt" 4me05.
  6. 1: Anything Roller coaster related 2: Xbox 360 3: AutoCAD Inventor 2008 Professional 4: Composing Music (Yes, you heard that right - I have a good three or four pieces in mind, one of them almost completely thought of, and I already made a Tuba Solo, I'll post the video eventually.)
  7. I guess I'm not the only one who doesn't read posts.
  8. 60 and sunny - I probably saw two TINY piles of snow through my entire 6.5 mile bike ride today. Jeez, very few clouds in the sky. Syracuse is known as the second cloudiest city in the nation with only about 60 days of less than 10% cloud cover per year. One down, 59 to go. But, less than two months until my first park of the year. (Darien Lake.) Now I can see how much improvements PARC has made in their first full year of complete control over the park. Hopefully with MotoCoaster, things will be on the road to redemption.
  9. Ahh, the Vekoma Mad House. I went on one at SFNE in 2007 and it was WEIRD. It was actually pretty nicely themed for the most part, and the greeter person/whatever couldn't stop laughing for some reason.
  10. I wasn't sure if this was to be in the entire "big trip" thread, because I'm only going for Behemoth Bash, and since this was more primarily a CW tips thread, I thought it deserved its own thread. But I had some questions regarding the event as well, and since both topics have a lot of similarities, I thought it would have been good to make its own thread. I honestly thought that this thread would be more positively received. *Hides.*
  11. The off season is almost over, and the "official" kick off for the season is only about 4 weeks away. I'm continually getting more excited about this year, primarily due to the fact that I will be at my first TPR event. So, I have several questions: 1: Being Civic Holiday, many people have said that the lines will be short. How short, and are there any lines that tend to be lengthy anyway? 2: Does Shockwave break down a lot? As my first ride on a legendary Mondial Top Scan (my god, Mondial and KMG are freaking geniuses) I want to know how hard it is to get a ride on it. 3: Are there any other rides that break down a lot? 4: Is Drop Tower a "multiple seat" Drop Tower? (The model with Stand Up, Stand Up Floorless, Floorless and Floored seats.) 5: Is Taxi Jam part of the ERT? If not, is it possible that we can get on this coaster without a small child? 6: What's fer lunch? Do you know, or does the park plan that as a surprise? 7: Are there any extra little "hidden gems" in the park that are just something to make the day extra awesome? (For example, making all of the targets in Sylvan Beach's go off at the same time from a flash enabled picture camera, or CW's own Auto Donut Machines.) 8: I was wondering, from what nations are people expected to be arriving from? (Apart from the obvious USA and Canada) 9: Did you get the info on pricing and other stuff yet? 10: Any other general info regarding the park and/or the event that I should know about?
  12. IMO House of the Future is a bad idea and will continually get worse: It's not from a business standpoint, more from a technological standpoint. The more technologically advanced society becomes, the faster that society can develop new technologies because they have better technologies to develop stuff. If Disney is really willing to spend quite a bit of money on keeping up with the times, then I would see it as a really neat idea. Otherwise, not. If there's anything I hate, it's outdated technology.
  13. ^I'll have footage of the whole park. Not just the Mighty Canadian Rib Cage Buster. (Ok, I know I haven't been to CW before so for all I know, I could actually like the ride like Hercules.)
  14. The Cheat, would you be so kind as to upload your element to the ride? You are officially the last TPRer that I will allow to add to this ride. After that, I'm bringing it over to coasterfuel.com where there's a nice amount of NL users. It's a small neighborhood, but for such a small site, tracks are uploaded relatively frequently.
  15. FINALLY, someone gets wise and actually has a mindset similar to that of my own.
  16. What's so bad about White Castle?
  17. ^I knew that. (Sarcasm not intended.) Also, I think I need to narrow down the search band: "Upbeat" funny Canada songs - Canadian Idiot is fast, and Canada You're a Lifetime Journey is kinda slow.
  18. ^^^ Schade für dich. Warum wirst du in New Hampshire wohnen? Ich denke es gibt besser achterbahnen in Deutschland. Aber ich habe nie nach Deutschland geflogen. Oder New Hampshire. Sowieso, Ich finde Der Mammut sehr schön, die beste bildern liegen im Bilder - Montage - Serie 3. (Bucket, ist meine Grammatik stimmt?) -Tanks "I'm American, and I've been taking German for just over a year and a half, although I do have German, Polish and Russian (all Jewish) great grandparents" 4me05.
  19. Süßer Maurer Söhne, wie Ich liebe dich und deine Spinnenachterbahnen. Ich finde Whirlwind vom Seabreeze ist ausgezeichnet. (Ich hoffe meine Deutsche Grammatik ist stimmt.) (Hey, Maurer Söhne is German.) So, basically, I think Maurer Söhne is awesome and I think Salama (I think I'll call it Salami) looks fun.
  20. Pwnageness! *Prays to the title fairy that "Pwnageness!" will be my new title, or that the title fairy will give us all the ability to create our own titles like most other sites.* Back on topic - Robb, could you make sure that at least someone asks about B:TE - if it's going to be constructed or not? I'm assuming there's a going to be a Q&A with the top brass during lunch. (Sadly, I can't join as I'm only going to go to CW.)
  21. ^ Do I want to know what a Dingly Dangly is?
  22. I'll stick out from the crowd and say DP, although I have never been to SFGADV... yet. Hopefully by 2009/2010 I can go. Hydra is moderately forceful and quite unique, IMO Talon is actually intense, and I have been on Montu so I know what intense is. Thunderhawk is a fun classic, although it would be freaking amazing if they took off those stupid trims at the end. Steel Force, I never cared that much for, but next time I go I will give it another try - I was more focused on the other coasters. Laser is one of the most intense coasters I have been on, right up there with Montu, Storm Runner, and S:ROS @ SFNE. Wild Mouse, I don't care too much for, as they trim it too much. But overall, I really like the park a lot. Take a look at my location in my profile and you will see what I mean.
  23. Which brings me to one point: Why doesn't Kinzel like inversions? If he thinks they are gimmicks, technically anything is just a gimmick if it's a one trick pony or advertised to be awesome but done in a crappy manner. Inversions do have (and often live up to) an extremely forceful and an occasionally airtime filled potential. I admit that I have never gone to SFMM, but CP is really fun. Granted, few of their rides are actually freaking amazing, (none are in my top five) the place has a really awesome atmosphere. It is definitely a great place to go.
  24. ^^You are in luck. I completely forgot. I will "restart" the countdown to see if The Cheat's upload is going to be a catalyst for a revival.
