3rd Grades that plotted to kill their teacher
Tanks4me05 replied to bspellx5's topic in Random, Random, Random
Third graders are kids who are 7 and 8 years old. I'm surprised that little kids could actually think of such a complex plot. In terms of the complexity of the "tools" used, I'm not surprised. But in terms of the micro-management, that is what I'm surprised about. I mean, I wouldn't have thought of getting a kid to wipe clean the place with the curtains when I was that age. -
Ummmmm... please don't kill me or anything in case this question might get you mad, Robb/Elissa: It's been a bit over a week since your estimation of the final details and stuff were to be of knowledge to the general public of the TPR members. Have you received the information yet, or is it still going through negotiations?

Unanswered/Dumb Question-Dumb Answer game

I eat goats for a mid morning snack. With mustard. The spicy kind. (You want a dumb answer, you got one.) Do you eat goats for a mid morning snack? -
^^I'm pretty sure you just had a bad day. Or you were listening to Maxwell Silver Hammer on your Ipod at that time. "Bang bang, Maxwell silver hammer came down, upon her head. *Doo bee doo bee doo.* Bang bang, Maxwell Silver hammer made sure she was dead." ^If you mean good motocoaster as in extreme motocoaster, I doubt you will ever see one. I'm pretty sure they are family oriented.

^^ Viper?!! Brutally rough?!!!! My god, if you call that rough, I'm guessing you call Hydra painful as well. I'm sorry, but I'm getting REALLY tired of people constantly bashing DL. I admit that it isn't the best coaster line up out there, but it is NOT the worst, and it definitely is NOT what many people say that it is. Viper is VERY smooth for an Arrow. And I have been on over half a dozen - not a lot, but enough to give somewhat of a basis standpoint to compare Viper to all the others. Predator hurts, but the second car, first row is by far the smoothest seat. Still rough, but tolerable. Boomerang is smooth, and I have been on five out of the six that are in the north east US, so I have a basis to compare it to. To be honest, all of the Boomerangs I have been on are smooth. Rough, yes, but painful, no. Mind Eraser is kinda rough, but I can still ride it several times. - Tanks " " 4me05.

Little Photo TR: Toverland (The Netherlands) 26 March 2008

^^^Nice house. You say that it's not so small. Does that mean the second building in the far right is part of the "house" as well? Other than that, nice TR! I always thought Toverland was cool. -
Here's a project I have been working on for the past few weeks - a single bench wooden coaster train. It isn't as complex as the Shuriken Coaster, but IMO it is still cool. Future projects: Roller coaster trains: -Inverted roller coaster -Stand Up Roller Coaster (I will explore several new, more comfortable restraint systems, so there will be a good three models of this.) -Steel Sit Down Roller Coaster -Possibly more Flat Rides: -Metronome -Slammer -Insanity (it's called that for a reason.) -Several rides that do not have a name at this time. (The flat rides will be the really complex stuff.) Anyway, on to the pics! Here is an overview of the latest prototype train from Strata Thrills Company - a Single Bench wooden coaster. This is the underside of the new train. Here are the restraints of the wooden coaster. This is the car link system and Chain Dog (s). Here is the wheel assembly. Pictured here is the zero car.

Same here....I really don't get what everyone loves about these types of Schwarzkopfs (blasphemy!). I've been on SooperDooperLooper and Scorpion as well, and those don't stand out in my mind either. Sooperdooperlooper and Scorpion aren't the most forceful Schwarzkopfs out there. That's just like riding Iron Wolf and saying that B&M isn't that great, or riding Colossus at Thorpe Park and saying Intamin isn't that great. I rode both of the aforementioned Schwarzkopfs, and although they are good, they aren't great. Laser, however, is freaking amazing. I admit I haven't been on Iron Wolf or Colossus, but I'm just using them as a base point example, as using Hydra would not be accurate because I think that ride kicks butt.

Cody - Tatsu I can say that this video was really good! With focusing on just one ride, you are able to get a lot of good vantage points on that one ride. The music fit very well and the synchronization of the video with the music was really good as well. The way you presented your "filmed by..." scene was cool with placing it on a moving shot instead of a black background. Matt's SFGADV Just out of curiosity, which "version" of We Like to Party! did you use for the video? Anyway, the footage was okay. Not as good as I had first thought. Some of them would have been better if you spruced it up with a few close ups on the rides here and there, (like the B:TR shot at 0:42) and it could have been synchronized up with the music better. (For example, the first B:TR shot and the S:UF shot at 1:01.) Also, I think that the "real park noise" level was too high, making it hard to hear the music. And what's with the "Play" icon popping up at the beginning? If that was intended, it's an interesting little touch. If that was unintended, points off. At 2:48, there are a couple of frames of the Intamin Space Shuttle and Great American Scream Machine, as a result of poor video editing. About half way through the video, the music/video synchronization got better, but at around 3 minutes, I don't know why you used two KK launches in a row. I'm not trying to be mean, it's just that I see what I feel is wrong. Ryan's Disneyland I really liked the intro, it was really cool and unique. I liked the initial "bang" that the video had with the upbeat song and the onride of California Screamin's launch. The synchronization was cool, and even matching the lyrics at the beginning "It's a rocket ride, no matter who you are." And you showed that really old Circle swing thing. (I think they were first made in 1904.) And then, "full circle on the move." You used California Screamin' loop. I liked that final shot with the Walt Disney/Mickey Mouse statue. But the only gripe I have with this video is that you should have used some more off ride footage. Although the onride footage you did have was good. Overall, this one is one of my favorites. JimmyBo's Port Aventura This video was really good as well. It really captured a TPR trip and now I really want to go in a time machine and go to August 4, 2008 and just go to the CW event now. The song was really weird, in a good way. Overall, this video was great. Justin's Dollywood/SFOG This video, once again, was pretty good, too. There was a nice mix of footage. Not much to say, other than it's good.

^The video was pretty good, except for one thing: I think that the "coaster" sound volume should be quiter and the "music" sound volume should be louder. Did you ride that Bussink Evolution? If you did, was it fun? I want to ride one of those rides. Very badly. -
^^^ Ooooooooooooh, pretty sunset. Wait a minute... *Checks desktop again.* Those plants at the bottom don't look real, and the geography of the little islands look like CGI. If that is a video game, there is only one thing I can say about those graphics: HOLY $#!@ Anyway, since I'm too lazy to find out how (or to ask how) to take a picture of my desktop, I'll just attatch the photo on my desktop: I chose it because I play the tuba, and I have NEVER seen a roller coaster AND a Sousaphone in one pic at the same time! I am so happy! A roller coaster AND a tuba in one pic! My god, that is my favorite roller coaster pic of all time.

4 things: 1: The park actually looks pretty nice. 2: You should resize those pictures. 3: Those "aerial" views off Broca were oddly bright and rather weird. 4: I forget, when are you going to visit Salitre Magico? -Tanks "Quantum Loop/Bambo Coaster=awesome" 4me05. -
^In that case, WDW. Two days of air travel (one day getting there, one day getting back) and have an extra "nothing planned day" for when you arrive in FL, to allow potential flight delays or cancellations, visit all four "dry" WDW parks, and there ya go - that's your 7 days bare minimum. Then with the extra three potential days, you can hit up both Universals and Magical Midway. (I don't do waterparks that much, though, so if you want more water, you can shuffle it around.) I admit that I haven't been out of the GMT-5 Timezone in my entire life, but I would say that from what I've heard, WDW is better for pretty much every single area. But, if you want some true thrill parks, try to stuff in KBF, SFMM, maybe even Adventure City or Scandia. So, if you want a "theme park" experience, Florida. If you want a "thrill park" experience, California.

You might be a roller coaster fanatic if...
Tanks4me05 replied to BarryH's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Heh... I plan to go to over 30 countries for that reason. But of course, there will be SOME (not a lot, but some) normal stuff in those trips. ... you think that someone who has been on over 70 roller coasters is a good "start" for them. (True story regarding myself, an ACEr said that to me at the 2007 Lake Compounce event - although I'm now at 84, and I should get my #100 at the TPR Canada's Wonderland event.) ... you remember every single roller coaster that you have been on since you were four years old. (True story regarding myself.) -
^^ I don't get it. Anyway, I have a few dead baby jokes: -How do you fit three babies in a bucket? A Blender! How do you get them back out? Tortilla chips! -How do you stop a baby from crawling around in circles? Nail it's other hand to the floor. -How many babies does it take to paint a house? Depends on how hard you throw 'em. -What do you call a baby with no arms and no legs in the middle of an ocean? Screwed. -What's worse to see? Seven dead babies in one trash can, or one dead baby in seven trash cans? -What's the difference between a pile of dead babies and a Lambhorghini? I don't have a Lambhorghini in my garage.

Tyler's Spring Break Coaster Videos
Tanks4me05 replied to Scaparri's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I think the video was good, except IMO you should get a camera with better low light/night vision capabilities, those night shots were kinda hard to see. -
^ I like the lyrics, except it had too much talking. Also, I want a more fast paced song. So, imagine somewhat like Canadian Idiot, but with a faster pacing of the song, more up tempo.

1: Fahrenheit looks freaking amazing! 2: Great Bear is underrated. 3: When did they put a Wisdom Tornado in there? Sure it is mostly associated with carnivals, but if done right, Wisdom Tornadoes can actually look kinda nice, and IMO Howler isn't that bad looking. 4: What the heck are they doing to Coal Cracker? -
Then again, I'm not clear on what you mean here at all. That Disney rides have killed a lot more people than this theme park in Thailand? You must also factor in the sheer amount of people at Disney parks. WDW's Magic Kingdom ALONE got 17 MILLION people in ONLY 2007. That's well over the 2007 estimate for the entire population of the Netherlands. For only one out of the MANY parks that disney has. (I count each park as a standalone, including waterpark, not "amusement complex" like all of WDW. Back on topic, this still won't phase me from riding my first Sling Shot (and Skycoaster) at Darien Lake this summer. I would have ridden those things A LOT already had they been cheaper.
