Jedimaster, I will let you know that Blender kicks complete butt. Imagine a mix between a really fast Top Spin and a Ferris Wheel. That ride is great. -

^^ Me, I would just plan a super Germany trip - there's at least twenty parks that I would deem of interest (something larger than a Kiddie coaster.) Since the country is half the size of Texas, I can definitely say that Germany has a very high "coaster density" - and driving between each one shouldn't be too bad in terms of length - not accounting for traffic. -
All this for a Looping Starship? Personally, I would like to see a rendering of one of those crazy super rare flats that travel the German Fair Circuits. If someone could give me detailed pictures of the ride, I could possibly create it on Inventor. (I'm a Project Lead The Way student, and it costs $1,495 and I got it for free so good luck buying it.) But I have my own custom coaster car to work on.

Looping Starships

The Canadian in me is saying "Typical America arrogance". And the American in my is say "Hoorahh!!" Again, no offense, I was just lazy... if Canada had all but one of the Looping Starships and the USA had just one, I would have left out USA. IMO, Canada is awesome. ^^ It's an original ride. Here is an overview of Der Mammut's blueprints: http://rcdb.com/ig4065.htm?picture=1 Note the underground tunnel near the finish of the ride. Here is a 3D rendering of Troy: (No underground tunnel. and it is more twisted. http://rcdb.com/ig3589.htm?picture=2 As you can see, Mammut turns to the right at the bottom of it's first drop, and Troy turns to the left. Plus, look at the rcdb info: Mammut: Length: 2,821' 6" Height: 98' 5" Speed: 55.9 mph Troy: Length: 3,412' Height: 110' Speed: 56 mph I'm not trying to be mean, I just felt like giving some extra proof. It's spelled G'sengte Sau, in case you were still wondering. -

^ Personally, I think Canada is cool, but I didn't feel like putting it on there. (No offense, Paul.) EDIT: Is this better, Nicole? -
Dude! That video is amazing! That should DEFINITELY be entered in the video contest. Also, as eBen had said, what is that tower ride 25 seconds in the vid? It looks like a spinning Drop Tower.

Looping Starships
Tanks4me05 replied to Looping Starship's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Phoenix at Busch Gardens Africa is a pretty well themed Looping Starship (yes, BGA has a few flat rides), and I have a couple of pics from last April: Oh, and Looping Starship, Valleyfair is in the USA, and so is Kings Dominion, Busch Gardens Africa, Carowinds and Six Flags Over Texas. They are spread out all over the eastern half of the united states, and I have placed green dots on the approximate locations of the parks in the United States on this photo: (In case you don't know much of the United States' states.) Pic from nationsonline.org (Photoshopped.) Note the scale in the bottom left corner of the pic in case you don't know how big the USA is. -
Tobu Zoo's New Coaster
Tanks4me05 replied to Airtime&Gravity's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The first drop looks rather insane. Maybe it was from the position that the picture was taken, but the pullout on the first drop looks rather small. In a good way. But I am concrened of the below average airtime that could occur on the first hill. The other hills, however, not so much. -

What is your favorite genre of music?
Tanks4me05 replied to SonOfBeastSucks's topic in Random, Random, Random
Although I listen to A LOT of music, Ambient Electronica is very unique. A fun niche. It's very calming and relaxing. Look up artists on Itunes such as AIR, Pete Warren, Chris Carter, and Cosey Fanni Tutti. -

Ahh, it's good to see more people use the hanging upside down thing. -
Actually, I would ride it as soon as it is fixed. I'm almost positive that there has never been an accident occurring right after a major one has just been fixed. I rode Enterprise at the New YorK State Fair just two days after it killed one of the workers trying to set it up back in 2005 or 2006 (it fell on him, he wasn't supposed to be under there.)

^I'm not going to comment any further on that situation. (at self.) Anyway, I have Seneca Knoll Days up! PARK REPORT: Seneca Knoll Days is a field day in my hometown of Baldwinsville, NY. It's a tiny fair with only a couple of rides - the largest one being a Tempest, which I haven't gone on one of those things since I was three or four years old. I originally went there to participate in a Karate demonstration that my Sensei was conducting (I'm a Green Belt) but as I saw the rides, I decided to go back later in the afternoon with my video camera and Nikon. The first ride was Tempest: Tempest: 7/10 A very interesting ride. I'd say a mix between a Calypso and a Break Dancer. I haven't been on one since 1996 or 1997, and although I saw one in 2005, I didn't go on it. So I took my chance this time and rode it. Pretty forceful, and very unique. My next ride was Fun Slide. Super Slide: 5/10 Simply a Fun Slide. It was ok. I then re rode Tempest, and then I went home. Yeah, I went there for Tempest, and that' about it. "Overall Park Rating": 6/10 Anyway, here are some pics: W00T! A Tempest! I haven't gone on one of these since I was three or four years old. Grrrrrrr! I'm a dragon! Gimme some candy! This is actually probably one of the less junky fairs I have seen. Here's Tempest again. Not only is the reason why I came to the fair, but also this and the Fun Slide are the biggest rides here. The sign of local awesomeness. Zoom, Zoom, Zoom! Grrr! I'm another Dragon! Gimme some candy! Here is Fun Slide in all its Fun Slideness. En E. I don't get it. There were also some games. Here are some more games. This is the food stand. Tempest in all its Tempestness. I didn't know Arrow made fences. Next is Lake Compounce! -
If you make this coaster a terrain coaster, in some place like Kennywood, where you would have Giga Coaster supports, with a (what I want to call it) Penta Coaster drop, it would be cheaper than being built somewhere in, oh say, Florida, for it's flat land. But even better, build this on either a mountain, or a Skyscraper/large tower other than Stratosphere, which much of the cost for that main drop will be eliminated due to FAR less steel required for supports.

Standing coasters?
Tanks4me05 replied to Yankee cannonball's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Havin ridden Mantis at Cedar Point, I can say that your manhood is not in danger. At least on B&M Stand Ups. However, there was a bit of head banging, but IMO that's what's fun about it. Also, as people have stated in this thread before, the G forces are seemingly amplified by a large amount due to standing up. Having been on 83 sit downs (sit down, invert, floorless, spinning, etc.) and one Stand Up coaster, I can say that Stand Up coasters are definitely a very unique experience. Personally, if B&M just makes the OTSRs with softer materials, Stand Up coasters can be a GREAT design. They have a lot of potential. -
I would have voted, but I couldn't find the link at CF, (if you posted it, I didn't see it) and I didn't see this thread until now. -Tanks "yep, I'm a TPR member and I'm going to go to Sylvan Beach this afternoon for some IN THE SNOW! pics" 4me05

I keep trying to tell people that A.R.M. Drop Towers kick EVERY other drop tower right on their sorry little butts, but no one listens! FINALLY someone listens! A fun way to make the airtime even more extreme: look down when you near the top (and are dropping as well) It's freaking insane. I tried that at Cypress Gardens (never went to Beech Bend before) and the airtime was almost too much for me. Almost. EDIT: Dang, you shot a Luger? Lucky. (Standard issue pistol for the Germans in WWII.) -
http://www.ohpurleese.com/clipart/toyoifoot.gif The Toyota I - Foot, is something I just came across a few minutes ago. A walking chair. Pretty soon, they will be making this (Vulture Mech from Mech Warrior) http://www.vegatransports.com.au/Toytown/Mech/Vulture.jpg Or even better, this (Terran Goliath from Starcraft) http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://bp0.blogger.com/_TG9u7wy9dHU/Rp0nEXIIytI/AAAAAAAAAIE/6OpfOJsWrow/s320/ART_Goliath1.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.bugdeeree.mn/%3Fp%3D1691&h=175&w=200&sz=10&hl=en&start=164&tbnid=vTgj5E0_1cUHJM:&tbnh=91&tbnw=104&prev=/images%3Fq%3DTerran%2BGoliath%26start%3D160%26gbv%3D2%26ndsp%3D20%26svnum%3D10%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN So, any thoughts?

SFOG is getting Thomas Town in place of DejaVu, not a mack mouse. Dang. Nevermind. I don't follow those stories that much, anyway. I've been focusing around DL recently for the rumored Indoor themed Spinning Coaster and Huss Giant Frisbee and Seabreeze's Himalaya from WWW is under construction. EDIT: Fixed.
