  1. So far, I have 26 ideas. Keep 'em coming!
  2. BiasedCheese I usually play Call of Duty 4.
  3. Ahhhh, crap. I thought Robb said that the videos were to be received on February 1st...
  4. Ok, I'm getting bored this winter, and a couple of days ago I was watching America's Funniest Home Videos, and there was a contest to videotape ways to destroy a snowman (there were Shotguns, explosives, sledding, etc.) So, for my next set of videos for 2008, I have a few ideas of my own: (The song will be Maxwell Silver Hammer by The Beatles) BUT, Please give me some ideas! I need to have as many as possible! Anyway, here are my ideas: 1: Snow Blower 2: Karate (I'm going to be a Blue Belt soon) 3: "Infestational Parasite" (Someone is going to build a snowman around me and I will bust out of it.) 4: Belly Flop from Ladder 5: "Kamikaze Watermelon" (Jump headfirst into it) 6: Another Snow Man (Once again, build a snowman around me, but my arms are free, and I swing a shovel at the snowman in front of me.) 7: "Stoning" (Simply throwing snowballs at it, or ice) 8: Lodge Icicles into it somehow. 9: Super Soaker with hot water and red food coloring (food coloring idea by RCoasterny) 10: Hand Saw 11: Bow and Arrow, if my next door Neighbor will use it (it's his - but if it goes through 190 lb deer, I think it can go through snow) 12: "Foot pump powered" rocket launcher. 13: Sit on it 14: K'nex Coaster Gun Firing Squad (Two Rippin' Rocket Boosters per gun, and use a car as the bullet) 15: Tie rope around neck, and the other end to a car. (upside down.) 16: Throw a boot at it. (Idea inspired from TheRapidsNerd.) 17: Golf Method (TheRapidsNerd.) 18: Dog attack (downunder.) 19: Suicide (downunder's "self collapsing snowman" idea) 20: Throw knives at it (from Disney Dood's throwing Razors - I don't have Razors.) 21 My toy Lightsaber I got when I was 6 years old - and I still have it almost 9 years later. 22: Cannibalism (taken from RAWKIN_coaster38's "Chocolate Syrup idea".) 23: Water Hose on "Jet" Mode (high pressure) (Idea taken from raptorcrew2002's "Frozen Football Tackle Idea".) 24: Snowboard into it. 25: Sled Crash into it. So, if anyone has any ideas, PLEASE say so! (No guns, as this will be done in either my front or back yard, and I live in the suburbs, and no Bottle Rockets or other similar explosives that people use on the Fourth of July as they are illegal in New York State.)
  5. I hope my entries arrive, I will send it in the mail tonight or tomorrow. Robb, if you receive my entries on somewhere between February 2nd or 3rd, will it still be allowed? (I know the deadline is February 1st, but are g you allowing some lee-way to accommodate Snail Mail?) EDIT: TPR has an FTP available for "normal member" access? How come I didn't think of that? *D'oh!* Anyway, what is the specific URL for the FTP?
  6. Bump - Darien Lake has made it official - check the main site: http://www.godarienlake.com It's name is only Motocoaster - it's not original, but it's not too bad, if you think of it.
  7. Holy crap. It's amazing at how much they can fit into such a small place... 5 coasters and a nice amount of other rides inside this tiny place. It's just unbelievable.
  8. A teaser just came from Tanks4me Construction Yards: I just asked the president of the company, and the said that he will take pictures of the construction of the new ride as more progress has been made, within a few days.
  9. ^^ Remember that Canyon Blaster at TGE was in Old Indiana's lot for four years before being constructed, and although a couple of pieces of track needed to be fixed, it is still an old arrow that was welded together, not bolted together. B:TE is a "newer" (by 14 years) Intamin that has been in DL's lot for just over two years, and has been moved three times, and since they haven't carted off B:TE's track yet (scrap metal I heard at wnycoasters is now very profitable to sell) I'm thinking they will eventually put up B:TE, as frankly all that needs to be done is footers poured, land prepped, (not much) and a station, queue line, and landscaping/theming done - probably the price of a medium flat ride or two, and it's a stand up roller coaster, so I see that as a bargain.
  10. I go during the end of June to most major parks (this time beginning of next July) so I can't say anything about the end of July, but I'm assuming that the weekday shouldn't be too bad. The morning ERT as it basically is, it is reserved for hotel guests only. Two coasters are open, which I assume they will probably be Maverick and MF. I'm not sure how much lines they will get because frankly I haven't been there since 2004, but when I went there, I sprinted from the Hotel Breakers and then walked the last half of the way there, and rode it with only a half hour line. I got back in line right after I got off the ride and it swelled to a 90 minute wait. Maverick, I have no idea what the lines could be as I haven't been there since Castaway Bay was under construction. The major coasters - Mantis, TTD, MF, Magnum, Raptor, Mantis, and Mean Streak have on ride photos (once again, I can't say anything for Maverick, yet) and the "minor coasters" - Iron Dragon, Wildcat, Blue Streak, Gemini, Cedar Creek Mine Ride, Gemini Jr. Corkscrew, and Disaster Transport - and I think Wicked Twister as well) might not have on ride photos. Since I went before the "drizzle" policy had been enacted, I do not know what will happen.
  11. ^ As much I'm getting ticked, at least there are less lines for me.
  12. Holy crap. That's one big rodent. But Guinea Pigs still kick their butts. (My sister had Guinea Pigs.)
  13. ^^ Hey, someone agrees with me that DL isn't a complete piece of crap! Wow, I thought I was an army of one.
  14. If it was at Seabreeze, I'm assuming you went there before 2001 (the first time I went there - I was 8 years old.) Otherwise, you might be mistaken.
  15. Ok, I'll try to make it to Old Town next time I try to head over to IOA. (Hopefully even Magical Midway, too. I definitely want to ride their Starflyer.)
  16. ^ That's what I'm wanting as well. It's no doubt that B&M makes VERY high quality roller coasters, it's just that they need more creative layouts. And maybe they can revive the Stand Up coaster with a softer restraint style.
  17. This one may not be expected... Thunderbolt - Cypress Gardens. It's only 120 feet tall. So what, you ask? That's exactly what I thought as I walked up to it. But as I rode it, there was only one thing in my mind: HOLY $#!* Best airtime on any ride... ever.
  18. Ok, personally, I'm getting tired of people taking a dump all over this park. Predator needn't a torching, Predator needs some freaking new trains. That's it. Maybe it can be the Guinea Pig for those new Millennium Flyers from PTC. On the plus side, this will mean more money for the park so hopefully they will get some new trains for Predator. Oh, and Mightypotato, B:TE won't come in until at least next year. It's a non - portable coaster, so to clear a couple acres of land, pour in footers, reconstruct the ride and put in a station, queue and trees and stuff for something roughly the size on an SLC in just four months is pushing it. They would have announced B:TE with Motocoaster at the same time if they were putting it in this season.
  19. Now, THAT is amazing. I have Autodesk Inventor 2008 and I'm working on some prototype coaster cars and flat rides.
  20. ^^ Bobcoaster is probably working on it right now... but I'm happy that someone is finally using a twisted double up, like on Hornet.
  21. Darien Lake is in fact getting the Zamperla Motocoaster - in fact, it is the prototype that was at Zamperla's HQ last year. Plus, I have a site that someone can read the info from without becoming a member: (Except the official announcement hasn't been made by Darien Lake.) http://www.ultimaterollercoaster.com/news/stories/20080112_01.shtml
  22. Yup. I couldn't remember the specific name of the thread...
  23. Wait, I just remembered, didn't Gravity Group have a model of a Mine Train they were trying to make a couple of years back at IAAPA?
  24. First off, I looked through posts dating all the way back to July or August and I still couldn't find the Super Crazy Rumors Thread, so if a moderator knows where it is, I would appreciate it if one moves it there. ADMIN EDIT: It took all of three seconds using the word "rumor" in the Search function to find the thread. Please use it next time. It's about *bleep* time Darien Lake got a new coaster! (These are quotes from the posts that I read - as you need to be registered to view the forums. - http://www.amusementgraffixintl.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=17336#17336 Reply 232 by TopSpinJay: January 12, 2008, 2:06 AM: Darien Lake got there approval from the planning board to get there construction permits for there Motocoaster by Zamperia. There you have it! we told you here and now you know Reply 233 by marinelandiscool: January 12, 2008, 8:00 AM: Really this is great! Reply 234 by CoASTERJuNKIE12: January 12, 2008, 8:54 AM: But when will they announce this? Reply 235 by TopSpinJay: January 12, 2008, 9:38 AM: does it matter when the announcement is? you know thats what there getting it's been printed in the local news out there so fact is the ride was coming and still is regardless of when they make the announcement. plus now that there approved they can announce it. Why announce a ride you don't have a permit for to build it's almost like shooting yourself in the foot if you don't get approved Reply 236 by myself: January 12, 2008, 10:06 AM: Friends, this is the moment we have been waiting for. For countless years we have been waiting in the dark, fading away, attendance dropiing by half. Now, the light has been shown upon us in our darkest hour. PARC 7F Operations has given us a light towards the end of this dark tunnel. With this new amusement ride, our attendance will rise, and we are now officially back on track to become the high quality amusement park that we have the potential for - and that PARC sees as well, and is investing in it, to make it happen. The wait is over, the nine years we have waited - longer than our park has ever waited in history - and we finally get something new. Even better, it is a family coaster, something that this park DESPERATELY needs. Hopefully we will be able to afford larger rides in the years to come.
