ytterbiumanalyst
As of a week ago, it's now Kingda Ka. Likely to stay that way for a very long time, but I certainly wouldn't complain if it doesn't.
Nrthwnd
People are listing Top 5 or Top 10, here. But I will just post the one I can currently remember, lol. Top Thrill Dragster, Cedar Point, June 2, 2017. All 420 feet of TTD, lit up.

Nrthwnd
^ Thanks! We also got a great on-ride photo too, although poor Bert eventually found out lately, he had hurt one of his arms, by throwing them up in that second shot. ....and I just look so EVIL in that second shot, too. Interesting Hair Time, heh. Edited August 11, 2017 by Nrthwnd
ytterbiumanalyst
At least he had the courage to put his arms up. I couldn't do it. I held on for dear life and screamed like a five year old the whole way. Both times.
Nrthwnd
^ Actually, I don't think he did it voluntarily either! I believe he started to lift his arms, and then the pressure and speed of the launch just shot them above his head! I quickly lowered mine into a more "locked position" as you see in the 2nd shot, and got away with that. Still scared me to bits, LOL!
boyerracing69
Mamba at Worlds of Fun. I don't get to travel to far. Have been to Disney World and Universal Orlando, but I know those coasters aren't over 205 feet. Hoping to make it to Cedar Point and other places, one of these days. Edgar Allan Pooh
Superman: Escape from Krypton at SFMM. I've only ridden the new version, where you get launched backwards. After that it drops to just Goliath, and then some of the smaller hypercoasters: Xcelerator, Cannibal, and SkyRush. I'd love to get on Top Thrill Dragster and Kingda Ka at some point, but I don't think it'll be anytime soon unfortunately.

Johnlloyd
The tallest steel coaster I've been on is Leviathan at Canada's Wonderland. It's 306 feet tall! The tallest wooden coaster I've been on is The Mighty Canadian Minebuster at Canada's Wonderland which stands 90 feet tall! Here is an update for the tallest steel and wooden roller coasters I have been on to date: Tallest Steel Roller Coaster: Kingda Ka at Six Flags Great Adventure (July 2018) Tallest Wooden Roller Coaster: El Toro at Six Flags Great Adventure (July 2018) Now to only conquer the World's tallest wooden roller coaster, I will need to do a bit of travelling. Intamin_coyote
Well, I've conquered the great Ka so that would be my tallest steel. Tallest (operating) wood would be El Toro. However, I was fortunate to get ONE, and exactly one lap on the tallest wood ever built, Son of Beast, in mid-May 2009. About a month before it closed for good.... The line was insanely long I considered bailing multiple times, but thank goodness I endured the wait. What a clutch credit that was! The next time I visited KI that year was late June, after it had closed.
