Evan1127 Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 ...disappointing looking train paintjob. Objectively speaking, the photos don't do them justice. Just wait to see them in person
philthephorce Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 It seems that GCII isn't so much into roller coasters as they are into making beautiful wooden sculptures that you can ride. (That's a compliment.) Troy lookes awesome! I can only pray, pray, pray that Kennywood will give them a bit of business...
Guy T. Koepp Posted June 5, 2007 Posted June 5, 2007 I am getting very jealous of the people going on the Spain add on right now! This ride looks awesome! Guy Millennium Flyer Trains!
Nrthwnd Posted June 5, 2007 Posted June 5, 2007 And I am GREEN WITH...... well.... You know... Looks like the Spain Tour 'add-on' will be quite a good one. And I thought the cars looked great, from what I could make out in the paint job. Why not paint up the cars, too? Well, considering there's a golden opportunity for 'continued themeing', etc.... So why not? All Hail Troy!
EmBy Posted June 5, 2007 Posted June 5, 2007 Cheers, Great photos there. Can't believe the banking on those drops there are going to produce an amazing ride. Hopefully there will be a great pov after the TPR trip there next month. Definitly a new entry for the to do list.
boy_who_luvs_coasters Posted June 5, 2007 Posted June 5, 2007 Its coming alonge. and it looks like its gonna be really fun. one thing I personally like is the turns down the hill on the first drop, and how it goes to the side and goes down, its cool. Also, those were some reallly good pics too.
NachoR Posted June 5, 2007 Posted June 5, 2007 Lighting Racers + Wildcat = Troy. Does anyone else agree with me there? Haha, I also see that sexy syphon(sp?) drop there. NICE. Great Pics
Coasterboy2 Posted June 5, 2007 Posted June 5, 2007 I'm going there these holidays. I'm lucky enough to have a friend at the building site! So he can tell me more about this coaster than I want to know. Yes, like everyone i'm looking forward to ride this masterpiece.
TPDave Posted June 5, 2007 Posted June 5, 2007 That first drop looks incredible, i can't wait for the add-on. I just hope it's working well... fingers crossed
mxman005 Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 VERY NICE!!!! Nice curves. Now only if i can afford to go over and ride it.
RubenTheys Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 New sweet pictures @ http://www.troytoverland.nl/nl/fotos_bouwplaats.php Enjoy.. I just can't wait until I see a train roaring over that track
Real Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 I do kind of agree that the trains are cartoonish. In person or not, Im sure they look slick in person but the fact that its not 3d art but just airbrush art is rather disappointing.
Gav- Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 I hope for the guys who are going on the mini-europe trip they make it on time, considering that the lifthill collapsed
thomas2 Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 ^You just missed that the lifthill was blown down by a wind during construction. I have faith in Toverland that they'll get it up and running when TPR goes there
Gav- Posted June 7, 2007 Posted June 7, 2007 yes it did but I don't know if that set them back with the build a lot, I really hope not
Airtime&Gravity Posted June 7, 2007 Posted June 7, 2007 I think the lift hill falling over set them back a month if I remember correctly. Troy looks like one of the best wooden coasters in Europe, and I'm looking forward to the TPR update.
hyyyper Posted June 7, 2007 Posted June 7, 2007 All the bents that fell down on march 5, were back up in 12 days. Toverland had caculated a 2 week margin, so we should be ok
RCfanatic Posted June 8, 2007 Posted June 8, 2007 The coaster is looking great, the view around Toverland has changed a lot with the new big woodie, but it looks beautiful! Can't wait for this summer!
coasterchi Posted June 8, 2007 Posted June 8, 2007 It's a while ago, but here i am with a biiiig photo update! The building progress is just fine and the Troy area just looks amazingly good! Till update!
Airtime&Gravity Posted June 8, 2007 Posted June 8, 2007 Wow, this coaster looks better each week, and the theming is a lot better than what I expected.(something like Falken) I like the spikes in the ground, and I was not expecting the station fly-through. This is my second favorite coaster being built this year, and it keeps getting better.
