Ya i actually do that alot. My parents aren't big on coasters and they trust me enough to let me go into the parks by myself. I usually have a great time, i get to go on whatever ride i wan't and can take my time. It also gives me a chance to use the sad and pathetic lines .

I've never gone alone but to be honest I would like to. Since I'm atleast 2 hours from the nearest park (and over three past that) the only thing I don't think I'd like is the drive by myself...just gets a bit boring.

Alone? Tons of times! Living so close to Great Adventure, I've hit it a bunch of times after work, or in the morning on a weekend for an hour or two. (I just did that last weekend!)

I enjoy going in groups, but I don't mind going alone either. I am a talkative guy and I will normally make small talk with people in lines (Yes, I'm THAT guy!) What's even better about going alone is when I want to take pictures. My wife hates waiting around for me to get that perfect shot, but I'll wait for it!

As for lines, occasionally you will get the fill-in spot, but without Single Rider Lines, it is hard.

Parks I've done alone: SFGAdv, SFKK, SFOG.

Rides I've done alone: Too many to count!

On trips almost all of the time I'll go with other people, but I go to Carowinds often by myself for a couple of hours, usually to just get rides in on Top Gun, Hurler, and the Flyers. I can enjoy myself alone at parks, and it is definitely good for going at your own pace and getting a lot of rides in, but it's usually just a lot more fun to be with friends.

I have never gone alone. I always convince someone to go with me because, for me atleast, the people are the best part of a theme park. Lines and bad coasters don't ruin your day when you're having fun with some friends. While I love the rides, people make the park experience fun. I don't think I'd have much fun going by myself, but that's just me; other's may be perfectly happy to go alone.

I used to go to Great Adventure by myself all of the time. I had access to the car, a license, and a season pass. No one else wanted to go, so I'd steal the car for a day and have fun. I got to do what I want, when I want, how I want.

Now I have a girlfriend, so things take some more planning then "just go", but she likes to ride too, so it's all good. I don't have to battle about riding what I want, when I want because she knows that I know how the traffic flows in the park better. She loves the fact that I don't waste our time with long lines, standing in line for rides that aren't working ATM, but others just might not get it, somehow knowing if a breakdown is wirth waiting through, and all of the other talents us coaster enthusiast pick up over time. The only "downside" to that is that she doesn't ride Scream Machine, and we always have to swing by the shops in the GK to look at the stuffed tigers. I honestly don't mind that much, so whatever.

I agree. And I have never been to a park by myself.

However, that will be changing this year. Every July 4, Martin's Fantasy Island lets Grand Island residents in for free after 5 pm. I will be going there to ride Silver Comet (back row all the way!!) and get my Crazy Mouse credit. I will probably be spending a total of fifteen minutes in the park.

Back in my early college days, I used to cut my lame classes and go to DLR for a couple hours. I did it a few times, and it was but it IS a lot more boring to go by yourself. I can always find someone to go with now.

I used to go to Cedar Point on days off or when I had time off. A lot of the time it would be by myself. I'd run into friends because we all worked together, but I'd spend most of the time by myself.

One of these days I want to be the weirdo who wanders around the park by himself. It's not that hard. I have plenty of fun.

I have been to parks alone. Like everyone else said you can do what you want without consulting who ever you are with.

Sometimes when I do go alone and start to get a lil bored.... being the friendly and open guy that I am (unlsess you piss me off... ) I sometimes wind up meeting someone or a group there and hang out the rest of the day!

I go to parks alone all the time because no one else I know is into parks plus they can't afford to travel to the US with me anyway when I go to parks there. There are advantages though, I can get maximum number of rides and go through the park at breakneck speed.

I'm too sure if its that different for me when I go to parks alone. I've been to my home park, Kennywood plenty times by myself, all my friends are coaster riders, but they always say they are to broke to go. Someitme I do get on rides a little faster because you don't have a group of people with you disagreeing where to go next and the takes up alot of time in my group of friends.

The only parks I have been to alone are some small seashore parks like Playland's Castaway Cove and Gillian's in Ocean City, NJ. I usually am only there for less than an hour (rarely any lines and there isn't that much to ride as they are both family parks). I have been considering getting a season pass to Dorney and going alone this season though since I know I want to get to parks a lot more this year then I ever have before and I really don't know anyone that likes going to parks as much (none of my friends like rollercoasters).

I love being able to explore parks at my own pace. If you remember from my TR last summer, I even flew down to WDW all by myself and stayed there for nearly a week. It was great, even in the hellish July heat

It is nice to have others around, but they'd have to deal with my relaxed pace, and my constant restroom trips.
