CaptainUnknown
Wow Disney managed to pack the whole concept of Universal Studios in this package! Well, there are some that actually like the Universal IPs (Harry Potter, Transformers, Minions, Jimmy Fallon, Fast & Furious).
robbalvey
Can we please not have this be yet ANOTHER Disney Vs. Universal off-shoot discussion. I'm so sick of it...
Hilltopper39
That's a pretty awesome media invite package. I still think this section is going to be absolute stunning, even if the big E-ticket attraction is kind of a mediocre screen based simulator. I'm really excited about the Navi river journey, it's a boat ride through a glowing forest, how can it not be good?
Garet
Wow Disney managed to pack the whole concept of Universal Studios in this package! It's just missing 3D glasses. Ironic, considering that's what Avatar is famous for. Seriously though that box is fantastic. I wasn't the biggest fan of the movie's story but Pandora visually looked stunning at least in it and Disney have me way more interested in this land than I ever thought I would be. TBpony414
That media invite was awesome!! Thanks for sharing it with us, Robb! Can't wait to see your review of the new world.
tuxedomask5432
Still keeping my fingers crossed about a soft opening. Although, now that Disney has announced all of the official media days, etc. for the event; it seems much less likely that I'll be able to see Pandora. We're heading down for our Disney Vacay the 20th of May through the 24th. Literally missing opening by 3 days (this is what I get for letting non-disney freaks do the vacation booking). SharkTums
^Yeah, it will obviously be closed the 23rd and 24th for media stuff, and I'm not quite sure how long the pass holder previews go on for (they start the 14th), just keep an eye here as we get closer and we'll all know more. Nrthwnd
Just breathtaking. Truly. The funny part though, to me, was the music. Definitely not of Pandora, LOL! I'm sure they've got some amazing atmosphere music and 'sounds' cooked up, to make it all the more real and enhancing. Thanks for sharing this, Robb! We both so wanna go - but it's gonna be a while
CaptainUnknown
While I'm still not sold on the IP, the film had amazing visuals which appear to have translated extremely well to the park. It'll be interesting to see how this area is received--especially if/when James Cameron gets those sequels made. But I'm still hoping that a Journey to the Center of the Earth clone ends up here someday.
coasterbill
This looks amazing. I really like Avatar, while the storyline itself is obviously nothing new the visuals and elements that would translate well into a theme park were breathtaking. I'm not really a Disney guy, but this will absolutely get us to Disney later this year or early next year.

SharkTums
This is clearly a giant monkey pushing a rock...
CaptainUnknown
The visuals But is the story easy to follow? Does it redeem the movie's story at all? Also, is that avatar in a tank in the flight of passage queue animatronic, a projection, or other?
COASTER FREAK 11
This is all so amazing looking! I am wondering how the land resonates with people who never saw or didn't really care for Avatar.
Philrad71
Absolutely stunning... really liking the looks of this so far. Can't wait for more to be revealed!
The49er
Pandora looks like one of the best things Disney has ever made! Thank you for the pictures and video! Out of curiosity, how exactly does Flight of Passage work? Is it VR, or more like Soarin' but with 3D glasses in addition to the screen?
Nrthwnd
YES to the Giant Monkey pushing the rock! YES to some wonderful photos, from every part of the park! And YES to an absolutely fantastic look at an entirely new "land" for Disney. This is like the organic "alien nature" response to Universal and it's Potter-Verse. I love it! Thanks for the great tour of AK. The night shots are awesome, too!
robbalvey
This is all so amazing looking! I am wondering how the land resonates with people who never saw or didn't really care for Avatar. I actually never saw the movie nor do I care about it. That being said, I felt like that didn't impact anything at all. This could have been an "original IP land" as far as I'm aware and I was sold on it just fine if I think about it that way!
