BJ KoasterKooK Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 That would be Loch Ness Monster at BGW in 98', probably my fourth overall coaster at the time. And that led to my next coaster with inversions, Drachen Fire, a beast of a whole nother meaning and experience
Dr. M Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 Laser at Dorney Park, before it was purple, if I remember correctly. Great ride, those loops really packed a punch.
gerstlaueringvar Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 Dragon Coaster in Ocean Park,HK. My favorite is Viper in SFMM
Miracleman Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 Viper at Six Flags Astroworld. It had a tube! RIP old friend.
eltororider Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 Superman: Ultimate Flight at Six Flags Great Adventure. Great way to get started on inverted coasters because it only has one loop and doesn't really feel like you're going upside down as much as if you're sitting normal.
StookyBill Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 Corkscrew at FlamingoLand..... .... I wish I could forget.
RCjunkie Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 Corkscrew at Valleyfair. 33 years later it is still the only coaster in the park with inversions.
jray21 Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 Demon at CGA. I still clearly remember it, even the ugly green jacket I was wearing!
cstrfrk67 Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 1977, Greezed Lightnin' - SFAW....still remember the first ride like it was yesterday. STILL dont know if my initial apprehension was the loop, or the launch, remember, I was only 10. Had my eyes closed through the loop the first time, but on the return, I "peeked", and it was all over but the cryin after that. Made my Mom ride it 5 more times that day with me.
larrygator Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 Probably Lightning Loops, but not 100% certain. It could have been Zoomerang at Circus World.
EricaKaese Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 My first coaster w/inversions was definitely Mumbo Jumbo at Flamingoland in Yorkshire, sure there are better coasters than that around but I simply adore my El Loco and I can't wait to relive the nostalgia (I'm allowed that, right?) next time I'm riding it!
DollywoodTNgal Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 I'm almost ashamed to admit this, but my first coaster with inversions was the New York New York one in Las Vegas. I had always grown up going to Kings Island and Dollywood, but was terrified of the Vortex and other upside-down coasters for some reason. Somehow in Vegas (no alcohol, I was only 15) I decided what-the-heck attitude, and let them take me on. Luckily it was decent enough that I survived and enjoyed it, and went on not to be scared of them anymore!
jfruge Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 My first coaster with inversions was Superman Krypton Coaster at SFFT.
PhantomNick Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 Ahhh, memories! Mine was the always fun little Schwarzkopf shuttle at Kennywood - Laser Loop. Oddly enough, that thing freaked me out for the longest time as a kid!!
SingleRiderCam Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 Silver Bullet at KBF was my first coaster with inversions and my first coaster by B&M
GnastyGnoric7 Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 (edited) SooperDooperLooper at Hersheypark was my first looping coaster Edited September 17, 2013 by GnastyGnoric7
jansolee Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 Mine is also the last coaster I've ridden: Le Super Manege at La Ronde in Montreal. That is, unless you consider those Super Loop carnival/midway rides an official coaster.
Coastergenius250 Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 Mine was Corkscrew @ CP. WARNING! Never sit in the front, or back on Arrow loopers! I hurts your head when your head is inside the restraint. It gets worse in the front or back after this.
