Saw this on "Chopped" as a mystery ingredient. . . looks disgusting, but I have to admit, it's my "favorite" thing now -- just to pull out of the pantry to show people:

Campbell's Scotch Broth is pretty good. Canned soups in general are much better now than they were when I was a kid.

I have no idea where I got this photo from.

But the eating choices are....interesting.

^ Wow...that really is a heart attack in a can!

Bet that stuff doesn't fly off the store shelves just because of the name, let alone the cholesterol content. Does it come with free Lipitor and a defib?

Chunk Light or Albacore Tuna in a can, especially if it's in olive oil (though water is fine too). I love mixing the tuna with Tabasco or another hot sauce and chopped onions and putting it on a toasted bread sandwich w/ lettuce, tomato and mayo.

I also really like Campbell's Tomato Soup, Cream of Mushroom Soup, and Chunky New England Style Clam Chowder.

I never liked Spaghetti O's or Chef Boyardee. My Grandma always raves about the Chef Boyardee Mini Beef Ravioli and makes me buy her 6 cans every time I do grocery shopping for her. And the sad thing is she is from a full blooded Italian background.

Decided to dust this thread off, once we ran into these at a local market downtown...

Never heard of these! Has anybody else heard of them?

The cheese ones didn't taste too bad. The tomato, we'll try later. (o;

^ Hey a 'can' is a can, no matter what the material it's made of.
