KBrylczyk Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 Sooooo maybe I missed it, but has there been any mention of a projected opening date? I'm in NJ May 5th thru 7th and doing a quick side-trip would be fun. I doubt it'll be ready in six weeks, though. Here's hopin!
donnamartin Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 Wow!! It looks really scaring. I wonder how anyone can have ride on this.

I'm in NJ May 5th thru 7th and doing a quick side-trip would be fun. I doubt it'll be ready in six weeks, though. Here's hopin! A few weeks back a local TV clip (I think was posted here?) interviewed the park and they are aiming for a Memorial Day weekend opening. Keep in mind they are apparently building two other kiddie coasters (one of which will somehow go around this) and all three are projected to open together. Also the fact that this park is tiny and this ride is insanely huge & complicated compared to anything they've put in ever before (a Flitzer and a Pinfari looper lol).
boldikus Posted March 31, 2016 Author Posted March 31, 2016 WE HAVE A DROP! Looks GREAT! And like trackwork is almost done. Also, it sure as hell looks like they are about to install the top hat.
PixelRush Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 The webcam has never worked for me on anything I use (Just a black screen though it says it's loaded), do you know what I might need to do to get it working?! I really want to see it being built!
boldikus Posted March 31, 2016 Author Posted March 31, 2016 ^ Not sure why the cam isn't working for you (it doesnt work on my phone, but on my home and work comps its fine) but if you can see the screenshot I posted earlier you aren't missing anything. The top hat did not go up today, though it seems to be the only piece left. They were doing a lot of stuff on the ground and I assumed that maybe we'd see the last piece go in, but maybe it'll be tomorrow. I could see them having local media there when they top it off. We'll just have to wait and see.
boldikus Posted April 2, 2016 Author Posted April 2, 2016 The tophat is IN! You can see them putting in the final bolts and whatnot right now. Also the park just uploaded a whole bunch of pictures to their FB page. This thing is going to be insane.
djcoastermark Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 Ok Mr Boldikus, never really thought much of going to that area, but you have intrigued me. We go to DC a lot and it isn't that far for a trip to Moreys, SFGA and now Playland. The New coaster at Playland looks great. BTW, my first visit to SFA was in sept of 2014 and I didn't realize you were there at the same time. Being a bit shy, I thought i recognized you but being unsure and a bit shy, I was afraid to say hello. It wasn't until We saw your trip report that I kinda kicked myself for not saying hello. The station pic you took of Superman, well, we were the 2 guys waiting for our first ride ever on Superman in the back seat. bod's pic
DoinItForTheFame Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 The tophat is IN! That drop though... Can't wait to try this coaster out!
djcoastermark Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 O/t a bit, Boldikus, we also ran into that annoying ACER and had the dickens of a time getting away from it.
boldikus Posted April 2, 2016 Author Posted April 2, 2016 ^ LOL that was a great day to be @ SFA, it was empty!
DoinItForTheFame Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 boldikus I feel like you will know better than any of us... Has there been any mention of a possible opening day yet??
jarmor Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 ^ No, no mention of it all . . . Sooooo maybe I missed it, but has there been any mention of a projected opening date? DoinItForTheFame Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 Yep . . . no mention of it. Oh good!!! I'm glad I didn't overlook the post or anything.
cfc Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 This has been one of those "under the radar" projects for me--but it has the potential to be a great ride.
TheCoasterKid211 Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 This has been one of those "under the radar" projects for me--but it has the potential to be a great ride. Same here, I can't wait for this!
boldikus Posted April 3, 2016 Author Posted April 3, 2016 This is absolutely hands down my most anticipated ride of 2016 (if you couldn't already tell by how often I post about it here lol). I have a feeling its gonna be bananas, not to mention easy for me to get to!
SFOG1991 Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 Wow this thing looks even more strange than in the renderings. I mean that in a great way of course! I have to get up there to try it out!
boldikus Posted April 20, 2016 Author Posted April 20, 2016 Update: if you haven't been paying attention, they have started installing the E&F Miler kiddie coaster "Wild Waves" which will go around Gale Force. Some shots the park posted recently on their FB page.
Superbatboy Posted April 20, 2016 Posted April 20, 2016 Wow they're really stacking these on top of one another
djcoastermark Posted April 20, 2016 Posted April 20, 2016 That looks like it might be a nifty kiddie coaster. bigger than what I thought it would be.
