I have something to add to the list:

Universal Studios Hollywood- NightTime Studio Tour and Fast & Furious Supercharged (part of the Studio Tour)

I realize all of this is just adding onto the existing tour (or in the case of the NightTime Tour, an "overlay"), but I for one am considering these to be new attractions! There's also Springfield coming, though I realize that it's just a food court.

Of the Midwestern parks, only Holiday World has a major addition this year, with other parks adding moderately or not at all. Since we're holding off on Holiday World until Kentucky Kingdom is fully armed and operational, the addition I'm most looking forward to is Fireman's Landing at Silver Dollar City. It'll be great getting to ride that shot tower again after a long seven years.

Adventure Park USA (New Market, MD) has a roller coaster under construction (which will be its 2nd). I haven't been able to find out what it is yet, but I'm excited to find out since that park is now technically my 'home park.' Yes I went from Cedar Point as my home park to Adventure Park USA, but at least I'm not driving OTR anymore!

If we get in all the stops we are planning then we'll have a banner year for new, semi-new or remodeled coasters.

Carowinds - Fury 325

Holiday World - Thunderbird

Kentucky Kingdom - Lightning Run (It's a 2014 opening, I know)

Thunder Run (RMC Revamp)

T3 (Yes, I know it'll probably still hurt like hell, but...)

This upcoming season is going to be sweet! I got Carowinds on my bucket list, Busch Gardens Williamsburg, Hershey, Kennywood, Knobels, Kings Dominion, and (maybe, since I really don't want to)....Six Flags America. *shudders*

I wish I could ride Thunderbird and Twisted Colosuss...they look awesome!

But the one thing I'm going to hate....: Idlewild and Soak Zone's opening their Mr. Rodger's Neighborhood reboot. Idlewild was my home park before I moved. My childhood is ruined. But, its for the next generation...

I was thinking about that the other day too. I always wanted to visit there for Mr. Rogers Neighborhood...but I guess not so much anymore. Bad decision Idlewild.

The park is designed for kids, not old farts like us. I'm glad they used a spin-off of Mr. Roger's as the theme. I wonder if they will leave easter eggs in the new version.

I'll be curious to see what the new ride is like, as I haven't ridden it in years. I've never watched the show, but I'm sure kids today will connect with it more than Mr. Rogers. Ask any kid nowadays about Fred Rogers and you'll probably hear crickets in the background.
