P. 651: Montezooma's Revenge project terminated?

well I got off work and had to walk through the park to get to the parking lot. Normaily there is almost no one around besides the occasional employee doing somthing or other. Today there where a bunch of workers at the Pony Express so I stopped by to see what was happening. Then I heared "Test-1 Clear" and the train launched but did not make the first turn

I also noticed they are repainted the hand rail by Ghostrider and the outside part of the line. In the Chicken Dinner Restraunt they just finshed repainting the main (Used for sunday brunch or when the restraunt gets really busy)

On another note It looks like there is going to be a live BMX kind of show this summer. I took a picture of the sign but my camra was acting up

^ I folded your topic into the main one since it makes more sense here.

I think I can see the Cloverfield monster in those photos.

...... That place looks familliar.. My friend was working that day!

Anyway.. As much as I was looking forward to riding (And I still am!) I have to say that I was sadly disappointed when I saw it running. It's not bad when it comes to intensity but it's just so... quick... SO short...

I know it's a family ride but still... Even Sidewinder is longer. @_@

I'll be there the day after opening day this year. I just hope for those who go on opening day, that PE won't have a bunch of technical problems like SS did last year. That was a nightmare!

And lets hope that those at the front of the line wont leave when they hear about said technical problems only to find out ten minutes later the ride opened!

^ Not even my freaking fault! My stupid friends were "hot and tired", so they made me go to Soak City. And it opened as soon as we left the park. I was pissed. Oh well, I won't be at opening day this year, so I don't have to worry about that problem again.

Looks like a fun little ride but extremely short, hopefully capacity wont be to big of a problem so you can get rerides. The scream shield/tunnel should be pretty cool, looks like Knotts has another cool fun family coaster to the line up. I wonder can they squeeze something like Piraten or fahrenheit in there for 2010?

Looks like a fun little ride but extremely short,

I know. In the pictures, I was hoping there was more of the ride that people couldnt get to and capture, but man is this short!

Like has been mentioned above, it looks like a fun ride, but it is really short. I know Knott's has little land to work with, but they probably could have made the ride a little longer.

"I see another shed....fail." (socalMAN123)

Oh, I don't know. Maybe if they hung some old tools in there for theming...

We pick at this ride for being short, but when you think about it, what more could it really do in that space? I guess it could have gone a little farther north toward Screamin' Swing or added a helix over Bigfoot Rapids, but it'll be OK, I think. At least I'm looking forward to riding it.

I really don't think they could have in the back half of the park. The attached pic stolen from tkkyj's Knott's KBF 04-26-2008 photo TR clearly shows how close the houses are to the park on the upper left hand of the picture, which also describes the need for the shed. I think they did ok for where the ride is.

Ill ride it before the park opens I know one of the lead ride ops and can get into the park anytime I want day or night.

Congratulations. Here's a fruit basket.

After seeing the overview, I take back what I said about that it should be longer. It looks as though Cedar Fair did a good job given the land they had to build the ride. Sure Velocity and Booster Bike might have more elements, but this should still be a fun ride.

Oh, I didn't see the houses at the back of the park. So I guess that's why they're adding the shed I take it. Is that why Ghostrider got a shed too, because it was too loud?
