Wow, I like a rough ride honestly but it's near universal utter contempt for this ride. Hope they do a legit re tracking with better rails for next year! Because I deff will be going...just to be safe I'll bring a doctor, apparently

I rode Hades 360 yesterday in the front seat. It was a bit rough but I have been on worse. I was surprised after the ride was over. Everyone has been very harsh but I thought Viper at Darien Lake was worse.

If you know the secret to getting a tolerable ride on Hades please share!

Coming home somebody asked me how the barrel roll was and I honestly couldn't tell them; because the new section gave me just enough time to pull myself together in between ass beatings, but not enough time to actually enjoy the ride.

This tour gave me my new #1, and then there is Hades 360 taking dead last in my rankings.

I never tried it in the very first row, but my first ride was in row 3 or 4, and even that was intolerable. My "Little Titans payment rides" were sadly further back (row 9 or 10) and those were organ-busting, spine-shattering atrocities. For those of you who got in the very front -- was it better by any measurable margin?

I will say that the entire turnaround felt to me like, say, a GCI that's been around for a few years. I wouldn't call it smooth, but it was tolerable.

^ I rode it in the second row and all I can say is: it HURT! During my second ride I EXTREMELY pressed my feet against the bottom of the car and leaned forward! It was a little bit better but really not enjoyable. I think that ride will hurt every single time you ride it!

^There could be up to 4 RMC's next year at parks on the trip that we didn't ride this year, I guess we'll have to do it again LOL. I jest, I imagine you'd be quite happy to not have to reach that far into the contingency playbook again, but it went well anyway.

On this imaginary trip next year I'd be quite happy to miss the Dells. I think even someone who has done time as the pretty young newbie in maximum security would complain about the roughness of Hades, it is appropriately named after hell.

Did I rode a different Hades 360 than everyone of you? Sure it wasn't smooth as butter and there were a few nasty bumps, but the ride had enough fun to compensate for the bits of roughness.

No need to be rude. And yes, you have your own opinion and it differs from 99.9999999% of the planet. #shocking

here is my personal view on Hades 360. I had my experience of it in mind (was on the Middle America tour and rode the "normal" Hades back then). I expected it to be rough, so was kind of preparedto be quite shaken. Or so I thought. My first two rides were in the back seat and middle of the train. Even the pre-lift portion was terrible. This thing hurts at even slow speed. The inversion is ok and is finally the only part I'd advise people to ride with their arms up. The tunnel parts and the return track were unbearable. Then I rode in the front (TWICE IN A ROW ! because invited by a pretty girl to ride along lol) While it still hurt, it was "slightly more bearable". Let's say the whole train is like Muhamed Ali punching you, and the front is like your usual bouncer at a club / bar / disco punching you. And this STILL hurts. Just less. By the way, something in my spine went wrong on it, and I haven't recovered from it: either my neck can move, or my arm. Moving both simultaneously won't work.

^ yeah, I was prepared for it to be rough but was surprised at how it surpassed my expectations. As others have said the new part is good (and the little drop back into the tunnel is actually pretty fun, but it's just not worth it for the rest of the ride (which actually beats you up during the slow parts as well...)

Anyone that says this ride isn't rough is nuts, each year it has been getting worse. This ride is nothing like it was back in 2005 when it opened. Hades was easily top 20 coaster then. The new section of the ride was fine but the rest of it was brutal. To be honest I had no intention to ride it this year, but decide I needed to try it for myself. I wish we wouldn't have, We rode twice and that was enough. It's starting to make sense to me why Holiday World deiced not to use the Timberliners, not because of the trains but but due to the roughness. I wonder If they have Rocky Mountain in mind, maybe some topper track. Witch brings me to this, What will happen to these other wood coaster manufactures now that Rocky Mountain is building these super smooth kick ass coasters like Outlaw Run. This is just my preference but I would much sooner ride a smooth woody that you can just keep riding over and over.

^ I believe there are still plenty of smooth wooden coasters out there. They might not be as smooth as the RMC coasters but the little bit of roughness makes a wooden coaster. Plus some of the other companies have created track that is as smooth or close to that of RMC's. Hades 360 is just a terrible ride.

Hades 360 is a fantastic ride which needs some serious maintenance. I rode Hades its opening year and it provided an incredibly comfortable ride. The new section after the tunnel is the extra piece it needed to finish off its insane layout. The same goes for Cyclops: I rode it over 7 years ago and it was my favorite wooden roller coaster, especially with that mid-ride airtime drop. Today it's a migraine generator with the life sucked out of it.

It's not the rides that are the problem: It's the park.

^^ I disagree.

I rode Hades a few years back and 360 this past summer, and even from a layout perspective there's nothing "fantastic" going on IMO. The horrendously rough ride was the only thing stopping the ride being forgettable. Obviously with the loop it's now got something more unique but if you take away the roughness you're left with one decent pop of airtime (which I don't even recall being there before the 360 makeover).
