Coaster Curt Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 After reading and seeing the pictures form the Best Lift Hill Views I am curious what are some of the worst?? My vote has to be Wild Thing looking to the right while heading up the lift hill. Pictures would be great and sorry if this type of thread was started elsewhere.
Randomman295 Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 I actually think that Excalibur's lift hill is worse. Either that or Apocalypse's beautiful view of the SFMM train graveyard.
Ed Farmer Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 Any of Vekoma's Flying Dutchmen come to mind.

At least with Excalibur once you get to the top there is nice woods to look at, true looking left you have the nice highway/train tracks/industrial park.
firewalk13 Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 Any of Vekoma's Flying Dutchmen come to mind. I second this. worst lift hill view = the one you can't see (due to being blinded by sunlight).
Koasterking48 Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 Any of Vekoma's Flying Dutchmen come to mind. What? You don't enjoy being baked on a 100 degree day while staring directly at the sun? I third this as well.
Randomman295 Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 Deja Vu's spike. Hate it! Wow, I thought I was the only one who didn't enjoy the vert spikes on that thing. Maybe I should have said that instead of Excalibur.
Taylor Finn Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 ^Oh dear, that does not seem very fitting for such an innocent kiddie coaster.
downunder Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 Damn, I got beaten to mention the Graveyard Coaster. Little Amerricka - so many ways to die. The wasteland behind Monster at Walygator is quite depressing, but the ride soon turns to pure ecstacy when you find the mid-course brake is turned off.
Geauga Dog Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 Maybe I'm pre-judging but based on the photos posted earlier in the CP thread, Gatekeeper will have a "wonderful" view of the parking lot before you slowly twist into the first drop.
cfc Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 Little Dipper at Little A-Merrick-A Hanno wins!
XYZ Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 Scream (SFMM) has a great view of the actual parking lot.
Erik Johnson Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 Kumba comes to mind with the sludge looking pond and industrial park.
cfc Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 Griffon's is a mixed bag. When you reach the top, you get a great view of the James River. When you round the turn toward the drop, you're looking at the roof of the brewery.
Coaster Curt Posted February 12, 2013 Author Posted February 12, 2013 Little Dipper at Little A-Merrick-A Wow that really does take the cake for a bad view.
Moose Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 Little Dipper at Little A-Merrick-A I don't actually mind the view. It's odd for a theme park, sure, but its not like its trash or sewage.
JJLehto Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 Little Dipper at Little A-Merrick-A Winner. Never ridden but Scream at SF:MM seems pretty sucky.

3Mutts Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 Yes Flying Dutchmans are pretty bad, I think we all hate looking straight into the sun! Also I don't like Nitro's lift too much either as to one side you see the nice lake/river and to another you see SFGADVs bone yard and the abandoned Old Country.
ilrider Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 Little Dipper at Little A-Merrick-A That ride beat the hell out of my knees! I think I would have been more comfortable in the graveyard!
thrillseeker4552 Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 Scream at Six Flags Magic Mountain. You climb up the beautiful blue and yellow B&M track. You are at the top of the towering lift hill, with 7 inversions awaiting you. Once you are at the top, take a deep breath as you view a beautiful...parking lot.
