Would the mack also be over 200 ft tall? I wonder what the design could be.

 

Production costs are cheaper when you've built so many more. Tooling, machining, engineering, etc.

And developing a lift system that can work for a 200ft coaster. I think back then "MackRush" might be Mack's first try to put a chain/cable lift system into their new trains. Hershey Park already has a great launch coaster so they probably won't need another launch coaster.

Not sure how it would be cheaper for Intamin for any of those reasons when Stakotra Manufacturing Fabricates the Track, Columns, and Trains. lol Does MACK Fabricate all Track and Columns in house? If so, that could explain the added cost as well as their proprietary track design.

Was going to be at Holiwood Nights for my first time tomorrow, but naturally my ClubTPR card is sitting at home in Maryland. So now that I've only got one normal day, if anybody has any advice on how to hit the dry and water sides on a summer Saturday feel free to let me know.

I gave it 3 night rides I believe. The roughness wasn't too bad, but I got pretty nauseated from all the airtime. I guess you really can have too much of good thing. But that triple down in the tunnel is the best part of the ride at night!

Does MACK Fabricate all Track and Columns in house?

From standing up on Hyena Fall's platform, I can see tons of orange survey markers out in the fields behind there. Looks like it is most likely a coaster.

 

Also, last night at the kick-off of HoliWood Nights, they performed a parody of Do You Wanna Build a Snowman and Let it Go. At the end of Do You Wanna Build a Snowman, they sung, "Should we build another coaster?". The crowd went nuts, but then they just shook their heads and went "Nah".

I'm going to be going to kentucky kingdom this Friday then holiday world on Saturday gearing up for coasting for kids at Kings Island on Sunday. My friend and I are looking for a cheap, clean hotel near Holiday World for Friday Night. Any suggestions?

Santa's Lodge near Holiday World is $79.99 a night if you belong to a coaster club. It's pretty clean and very close to the park.

I'm thinking this is alluding to the ride's highest point - 102ft - either first hill or tophat/inversion after launch.

Hmm the Mayflower did Launch with 102 passengers. Perhaps it will end up being a family launch coaster. I also think another attraction might be announced as well to go in the Thanksgiving area.

Perhaps the wording "one hundred plus two" is a playful way of hinting at a 100ft coaster while remaining historically accurate.

^^Haha! That was actually my first thought of what Holiday World's first steel coaster would be! Not sure if it would be the best choice, but if they do decide to build an Intamin MegaCoaster then I won't complain!

According to history, Oceanus was the only person born on the Mayflower during its voyage to America, but he died at the age of 3. I think the name fits decently well with all of the hints relating to the power of the ocean, right?

The 66 Days at Sea also refers to the sky a lot as well. So about the whole terrain coaster thing, I am very confused, although since it's Holiday World it will follow the natural terrain for sure.

My whole thought about the terra-coaster is just my speculation. The fact that this project is $13.5m and thought to be a steel coaster leads me to believe that it really cannot be that tall or large just based on cost alone. Add that to the past two days mentioning "one hundred" and you get a low-to-the-ground, quick terra-coaster... in my brain at least haha (which sometimes is a bit too creative).
