Gutterflower
Looks like the first of China's 2 launched S&S coasters is already pretty far into construction. Can't wait to see the layout of this one. Source: http://www.rcdb.com/9140.htm?p=27018 Apparently the Shenzhen version will have a different layout too.
DBru
This is looking really interesting, already! I loved Powder Keg; hopefully this will be similar/even better!
tiger01
I'm looking forward to some new rides being plotted arounds the world in 2010. This should be good and the one at the other park aswell. A unique coaster liike this is just what I need to get my mind off of Intimidator! (no offence it's just been posted to much and it has got a bit annoying, but still it looks like an awesome coaster!)
nln00b
Meh, I don't know how this will turn out. I never rode Powder Keg. I kind of want to.
Gutterflower
Found some more pics. still a month old though Source: http://bj.happyvalley.cn/bbs/dispbbs.aspx?id=43198&boardid=4&page=1 Loving that first hill The RCDB has some slightly older ones here http://www.rcdb.com/9140.htm?p=0 Edited June 1, 2010 by Gutterflower
matteocrepaldi
That looks great! I hope to see more updates in the future!
Airtime&Gravity
That is a really odd layout, it almost looks like something a child playing RCT would come up with. It looks like a lot of fun, and if it rides more like Powder Keg than the other Thrust Air coasters, I think this could end up being a very fun ride. It looks like a great ride, but I just don't like the layout as it looks too unprofessional to me.
SharkTums
It looks VERY short. TPR Best of China Trip 2012!
The_Mad_Hatter
Is it just me or is the car in the model backwards?
Gav
^Looks fine to me. The train is sitting at the staging end of the launch track (Notice the two sharp turns that lead from the station to the beginning of the launch)
DBru
Um...wow. I think I love S&S.
Gigalyte
Wow I'm loving those crazy twisted hills on this ride looks like something straight out of Rollercoaster tycoon, Anyone know the stats of this thing? like the height and speed of launch? Josh Linn
That first hill looks insane.
chickenbowl
I wonder how this hill will feel? Look at the banking on the track section.
SharkTums
So looking at the model again...it's basically Xcelerator. Tophat, overbank, overbank, overbank, done.
atem122
At the risk of sounding extremely nerdy, does it look like S&S is toying around with LSMs?
Gutterflower
So looking at the model again...it's basically Xcelerator. Tophat, overbank, overbank, overbank, done. I'm glad i'm not the only one who thought that. Although the straight drop out of the top hat into the tunnel should provide some decent air-time and that final hill looks evil. Six Flags Enthuseast
What's with the Asians and their ride naming process?
Pingu1651
No announcement on the S&S page yet, but there's a spot where "Happy Valley" would go. The layout looks pretty good to me, nothing too special though. I mean, it'll be great, but it's not Top 10 Mitch Hawker Quality. I think the only reason I love S&S is because they bought ARROW! (And the only reason I love Arrow is because there's a ton at Cedar Point)
Solid Gold
So Screamscape posted that RCDB had some new pics of the now-completed track work. Check out the last three! I count one Batsh*t insane tophat with a huge drop into a tunnel, one NINETY DEGREE mega-turn, and a possible SIDEWAYS airtime hill? (Pic 7, the small hill on the right). OMG-worthy! atem122
That sideways airtime hill looks like it'll do wonders for your family jewels. But besides that, it looks pretty damn awesome. This coaster looks bat-s**t insane!
DBru
Um...wow. I think I love S&S. Reinstated.
Midgetman82
^ and agreed. This ride looks like it'll feel weird, and the model makes it look like it did come from RCT but then they smoothed it out in NoLimits! Still I like the looks of it. mightbeawannabe
Am I the only one who thinks that elements can look sexy? Well I think that the overbank looks fugly Just sayin..
Invertalon
This ride looks nothing like Xcelerator, to be honest... I can see some "similarities", but they are so far off it is not worth a comparison. This ride looks incredible to me... The first element looks like a blast and the little hops here and there should be great fun. Tracking looks interesting in terms of banking and "flow", but sometimes those can make it that much more fun. I am sure it will be great. Sucks about the location!
