Astrojack Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 Atwater Voodoo Vator. Was one of the four beers my sister gave me for Christmas.
Blind Idiot God Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 Finally tried one of these tonight. #9 is okay, but the Heart of Darkness seasonal is where it's at for Magic Hat.
805Andrew Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 ^I bought the Magic Hat Winter Variety Pack so I'll be trying that one too. Edit: I had a Magic Hat G Thing Ginger Spice Ale last night.
tarheel1231 Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 8 years from now when I'm old enough to drink.
lil jimmy norton Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 Lagunitas Sucks. This tastes really good. Also picked up a Firestone Walker 17th Anniversary Ale.
805Andrew Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 ^Were you able to find Firestone Walker in NY? That brewery is less than 15 minutes from my house. Also their anniversary ales are made in pretty limited batches and isn't one of their more common offerings.
mr_teisco_delrey Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Cougar Bait Ale from Country Boy Brewing of Lexington, Ky
805Andrew Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 Got this for X-Mas. Opened this last night. From Belgium.
SuperShawn Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 Tart of Darkness - it was absolutely delicious and has me even more hooked on sour beers.
Blind Idiot God Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 Arrogant Bastard Ale. My California friends were right, Stone Brewing Co. is one of the best breweries on the planet.
Philrad71 Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 Yesterday they had an open doors event in my local town (Jamestown) and after our touring around we ended up at a nice new micro-beer and wine lounge called Brazil. They have 18 drafts and literally hundreds of bottled brews in addition to a nice wine selection. I ended up trying the four beer sampler: * Mama's Lil' Yella Pils - a mild Czech pilsner. If you're not a fan of IPA's, wheat or dark beer & just want something mild, then this is the beer for you. * Founder's Centennial IPA - a little sweet in my book for an IPA, but hoppy, nonetheless. * Founder's Red's Rye IPA - not at all what I was expecting after trying the Sierra Nevada Ruthless Rye a few weeks back - this one has more of a caramel flavor to it, versus the strong, hoppy flavor of the SN Rye. * Southern Tier 2x Stout - Had to finish the sampler off with something dark. This one has some serious hints of cocoa for a smooth and palatable finish. Nice way to round out the tastings!
Astrojack Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Dogfish Head Red and White. Wasn't bad, just a bit too sweet.
shivtim Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 Southside Pride Red Ale from Terminal Brewhouse in Chattanooga.
