  1. Alchemist Heady Topper, the trip up to Vermont and waiting in line an hour before scheduled delivery was worth it.
  2. I liked the Steel Phantom when I was younger, even though you had to ride very defensively to prevent your head from bashing. I remember riding it 6 times in a row and my ears were beat red. I hurt my neck on it sitting in the front seat going through the first loop. My neck snapped forward since it didn't want to follow the train The train would hit the first loop hard, even with the trim right before it. Today, I would not want to ride the Steel Phantom. I'm glad they created the Phantom's Revenge.
  3. Nice trip report, Black Widow always takes a long time to load. Kennywood installed metal detectors back in 1993 when there was a lot of gang activity in the area. And anyone wearing gang colored clothing wasn't allowed in the park.
  4. I went to the park on Memorial Day and spent 3 hours at the park on Tuesday before heading back home. I'll do a quick review on Banshee. My first ride was in the back far right on the green train. I was surprised it was only a 20 minute wait for how crowded the park was on Monday. The first drop in the back is amazing and easily my favorite invert drop. The first inversion is taken fairly slow that you get some slight hang time in the back. And it is crazy how much speed the ride picks up after the zero g roll. I can see this topping a lot of lists for favorite invert because of the non stop pacing and taking all the elements in quick succession. Each ride I came back to the station dizzy. My only negative on the ride was how bad it rattled in the back right green train. It's not so much of a rattle, but more of a bouncy/jack hammer feeling. Anyone who experienced a rough ride on Gatekeeper should know the feeling. I'm just glad my other two rides in the very front and middle were silky smooth. Overall it's a great coaster and looking forward to taking more rides on it. Diamondback was running great compared to when I rode it opening year. Hopefully it continues to produce great air my next trip.
  5. Pennsylvania's ban on gay marriage was overturned. Now we can add PA to the growing list of great amusement parks to get married at
  6. When you buy new shorts, you make sure they have zipper cargo pockets for coaster riding.
  7. Anyone going to the park this Friday? Operating hours are 4pm-10pm. I remember going on this Friday when Diamondback opened and the park was empty, hopefully luck out again this year
  8. Sweet Baby Jesus - Chocolate Peanut Butter Porter. It was a decent beer, not sure if I'd buy another 6 pack.
  9. I beat Bioshock Infinite recently and it was alright. Something about the Bioshock series that I just don't like. Decent games, just don't understand the praise. Infinite story was only interesting the last hour. I have been playing Puppeteer and Outlast.
  10. Dogfish Head Red and White. Wasn't bad, just a bit too sweet.
  11. Atwater Voodoo Vator. Was one of the four beers my sister gave me for Christmas.
  12. - POGS, I never got into them, but there were some neat slammers I liked to collect. - Napster, it took a 1/2 hour to download one song with dial up. - Rollerblades, I remember everyone needed the newest blades when it was roller skate week for gym in elementary school. - Giga Pets: Had to change the time before going to bed so it wouldn't wake you up in the middle of the night. - Highlights: All the boy bands were doing it I'm glad I never bleached my hair when that was the fad. - Have a few Beanie Babies, since people kept saying they will be worth money in the future. - Garbage Pail Kids: Had a massive collection until my grandma threw them out saying they were disgusting. - Slap braclets. - Hacky Sack.
  13. 1) Log Ride at Knott's Berry Farm. 2) Apocalypse Six Flags MM. Ride was running great during night ERT at WCB. 3) Full Throttle. I wasn't expecting much of this ride, but the hang time was a lot of fun.
  14. I'm enjoying the PS4. Been playing Killzone and Resogun. I have a few other games downloaded, just waiting until I beat Killzone before starting them up. The remote play feature is actually very well done and have used it a few times while watching TV or in my bedroom.
  15. I'll be picking my ps4 up on midnight release. Hoping to get the buy 2 games get 1 free deal from Target this Tuesday.
  16. Unibroue La Terrible. I had this beer a few years ago before I started to enjoy craft beers and didn't like it. Decided to try it again and I really enjoyed this. Will be buying this again soon.
  17. Randomly picked up a bottle of Blue Moon Tongue Thai-ed since I didn't know what to get. I had trouble finishing this beer, was a lemon grass and basil spiced beer. One of the only beers I will avoid.
  18. I split a bottle of Dogfish Head 120 with my roommate. Very strong beer and tasted great. I hope to come across another bottle soon. The one bottle shop usually has it in stock, but it's 21 bucks a bottle. Picked it up at a grocery store for 9 bucks
  19. I got to ride both and it's a tough decision. Both are fun rides, just nothing really outstanding about them. I'll have to go with YOLO since I was expecting a lame ride but was surprised how fun it was with all the hang time. Gatekeeper I wasn't expecting much and the ride didn't change my expectation. I thought the reverse launch on YOLO was just a gimmick, but it was actually pretty forceful with great twisted hang time in the back. Felt wrong hang out of the car sideways
  20. Been playing Killzone Mercenary, Final Fantasy 14, and decided to give Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning a try. Still unsure if I like the game. At least it's a free game for ps+.
  21. Terrapin Hopzilla. Was good, I prefer it over their Hopsecutioner.
  22. Kings Dominion Kennywood Cedar Point Dorney Knoebels Lakemont Pacific Park Six Flags Magic Mountain Knott's 5 new parks and 33 new credits.
  23. I just wanted to give a big thanks to Robb, Elissa, Six Flags Magic Mountain, and Knott's. This was my first TPR event and it won't be my last. I had a great time and met a lot of great people over both days. Surprising rides on the trip were Apocalypse and the Log Ride. And it was fun getting a failed launch on Superman and getting stuck for 20 minutes.
