Shavethewhales
Very cool. Didn't really see that one coming, though I should have seeing that they have looked at adding a Disko in the past. The teacups sound like they might be another leftover from CC. It's a solid addition for this park. Now they just need another solid, original coaster and the place will really be on the map for me. Bobby2889
I agree, great additions, but they do need a signature coaster. It doesn't have to be huge, just unique to the park. The SLC and the Boomerang are upon the worst coaster types, and last I was there Cheetah was mediocre at best. I think Wild Adventures has potential to becoming a great LITTLE park if you know what I mean.
biker7766
Work continues on The Disk-O and the mini teacups. Courtesy of Wild Adventures Facebook! Progress on TailSpin! It may not look like much...but it's getting closer. We can't wait for TailSpin to be towering four stories high! We're making progress! Wacky Wheels is in the making for the 2013 Season! Guy T. Koepp
I've never been there when it was crowded. With that said, it is Spring Break in a lot of places. So... ...your guess is as good as mine. I know, I'm a world of assistance.
thrillrider
We will be heading to this park next week. I am looking forward to finally getting to this park, as we pass it every time on the way to Florida from Michigan. We were able to get discount tickets (thanks to club TPR). If anybody has any hints/suggestions that may help us, I'm all ears. Also, is there anywhere that we can check out the menus and prices for the parks restaurants? I have looked all over, but have not had any luck. Thank you.
Rollercoaster Rider
Any rumors of what they're adding next year? I would put money on either a waterpark expansion, a Splash Battle, or more general improvements.
Shavethewhales
A splash battle is a good speculative bet, but I haven't heard anything through the grape vine. Does anyone know what their attendance levels have been like this year? It's hard to say if they'll keep adding smaller to midsize family rides, or try to really open up their market with a big new ride soon. I want to see a big new coaster at the park someday soon. They really only have Cheetah and a bunch of clones.

markysharky17
Well there hasn't been any activity hear for a while.... Does anyone know what Wild Adventures new ride will be for 2014? The area across from the barbecue joint and behind the Rattler is being cleared out for a new attraction. I asked a worker about it and he said a new ride is coming but don't expect it to be as big as the parks latest ride tailspin. Aka a zamperla disco coaster. My first guess was that a Air Race would be coming but the worker said that it won't be a mega thrill ride. I have a few photos of the area and now there's a wooden fence around it while they do construction. I took photos but I Will upload them later since I'm now at home this moment. cal1br3tto
^Isn't Elitch Gardens also expecting a mystery flat ride? Then again, I guess there's no connection there, since I'm pretty sure Herschend recently ditched Elitch.
markysharky17
Nevermind, might be some new animals or something. The worker told me it would be a new attraction.the second one I took peaking between the wood. These were taken 2 weeks before the season ended. I wish the park would get a new roller coaster because we need one! I had a dream that Cheetah got an RMC treatment! That would be sick! The park used to have a lot more flats like a Choas, Inverter, S&S screaming Swing, Power Surge and other cool flats. I think that most of there customers want more water rides. The rides in the park are walk on but the water slides have 30min waits and stuff. There are some water slide pieces behind the halfpipe water slide ride. But a worker told me that they were pieces for an old slide that was taken out so I don't think we will see them being used any time soon.... ValleyfairFan
^ While true, I would suspect that their (Wild Adventures) operating costs would be significantly higher, especially compared to Valleyfair when you just compare their operating calendars alone. That being said, 1.5 mil a year is still pretty respectable.
markysharky17
Is there attendance anywhere near the attendance of there sister parks like Dollywood or Silverdollor city?

Rollercoaster Rider
Also Silver Dollar City, Dollywood, Valleyfair, And Worlds Of Fun are also near Major Metropolitan areas. Wild Adventures is in Valdosta. No offense but Valdosta is no Branson or Kansas City.

jynx242
^I've been wondering about this park as well recently. They have not had a good addition (to me) to the dry park in YEARS. All of their attention is going to the Waterpark, which I am sure is really good for them, but leaves me no reason to make the trip.
Shavethewhales
They got a nice disk-o a year or two ago didn't they? That's not a bad addition. I'm surprised to hear they are getting 1.5 million visitors out the apparent middle of no-where. That's not bad really. I think they could stand to pare down some of their lesser rides for some more spectacular attractions though. I know the previous owner liked to buy cheap and in large quantities. ThemeParkJunkie51290
Photo Trip Report: Wild Adventures Theme Park! September 13, 2014: Hola! I drove all the way from Alabama to come to this small theme park in Valdosta, GA for the first time EVER!. Since I already bought tickets online, I decided to take a trip before they expired. And that's what I set out to do! Let me start out by saying this small theme park was G.R.E.A.T! I wasn't expecting all the extra fun and excitement from this park! Don't get me wrong, I knew it was going to be exciting, but I really did have an ADVENTURE! I recommend this theme park to all theme park junkies such as myself! *Roller Coasters: Twisted Typhoon: One of the GREATEST coasters in the world! This was my first SLC and I was prepared for a rough ride, but I was proved wrong! To be honest, this coaster was smooth! I know many people don't show love toward SLCs because of roughness and jerkiness, but I really enjoyed the ride. But I will admit it scared the HECK out of me because I thought my legs were going to hit the supports. TOO CLOSE FOR COMFORT! Overall, it was a fantastic ride! Swamp Thing: It's just your basic family vekoma suspended coaster. Fun ride, but I just wanted the credit. Cheetah: SMOOTH! FUN! EXCITING! This coaster was down right amazing! A must ride! Boomerang: Typical boomerang coaster, but this one in particular gave me a good boost of adrenaline. Weird, but true. Go Bananas!: Nice family coaster. I love how these coasters whip you from side to side so quickly! Ant Farm Express: I'll admit it was fun for a kiddie coaster, but I just wanted the credit. Viking Voyage: Sit in the front and you'll see why this coaster is scary, yet a good ride! I loved it! *Thrill Rides: Firecracker: Well, it's very small compared to all the others I've been on. It has a short ride time. But I rode it because it was in the movie Zombieland. LOL! Rattler: All I'm going to say: WEIGHTLESSNESS! RIDE IT! *Family Ride: Safari Train: It provided a nice little ride seeing new animals I haven't seen before! It can't be compared to Disney's Animal Kingdom safari ride, but it was nice! *Other attraction: Alapaha Trail: Nice walk thorugh attraction seeing animals. It's a must do! Now it's time for pictures! I made it! I see something on the lift! What could it be? I'm loving the sign! Just a random picture! I'm so happy to be here! I see you! Such a fun ride! Isn't something missing? ButterFly Garden!!!! Important fact! I just had to touch the tree! I didn't ride this unfortunately. But I should have. This ride had some cool themes to it! Your typical boomerang coaster! This boomerang though gave me a much needed boost of adrenaline! View across the lake! Get Your Congo Wings Here! A tiger? I loved it! Amazing view! It's a wooden coaster! What's the name? Cheetah! That's the name! The ride didn't open until later that afternoon, but when it did, I must say I had a GREAT SMOOTH RIDE! So many people bash the SLCs because they're rough and jerky. Well, you're wrong! This was my first SLC and I loved it! It was SMOOTH! But I will admit that it scared the HECK out of me because I thought my long legs were going to hit the supports! Station. SCARY! BUT FUN! Sadly, I didn't ride this. That's one reason why! Closed for the season. I wanted to try this, but I was too busy riding coasters! OMG! THIS WAS PURE WEIGHTLESSNESS! LOVED IT! A little theme to go with the ride. I rode this for Zombieland! This park is so photogenic! I give this park a thumbs up! I see you across the lake Cheetah! After riding many Windeseekers at Cedar Fair parks and Sky Screamers at Six Flags parks, this ride doesn't come close! It's a nice family ride! I'll admit to that! Nice walking trail featuring animals! It's a great way to cool off during the heat! Welcome to Jurassic World! So pretty! Something for the kiddies! A picture I took on the safari train ride. And this one! Look close and you can see the heart! And that one! Swans! They weren't part of the train ride. They were just grooming themselves by the lake in the middle of the park. Looking sexy Boomerang! I came a day before La Fiesta. I don't want to leave! Once again, I give this park a thumbs up! I had a great day! thrillseeker4552
Great report! It's nice to see someone so enthusiastic about an out-of-the-way park like this. Despite the only true custom coaster being Cheetah, it looks like it has a solid collection of rides.
