Here is the most recent shot from the construction cam. You can finally see how the overbank will top out. And the rest of the structure is taking some recognizable shape. End of day today will be spectacular and can't wait for the end of the week. Hopefully they can finish having the track installed by end of week next week and after that the dive loop and lift will go up.

I noticed that graphic too. Looks like they took promo shots in the actual trains and updated the ride graphic. Shocking, because Six Flags typically doesn't pay much attention to detail. Glad to see the changes and liberties each park is taking with their social media, and the changes in the chainwide website. The ride descriptions and photographs are unique to each park whereas before, they would just slap jpegs of random rides everywhere. It essentially told the story, we don't care about our individual parks, so you shouldn't either and shouldn't bother visiting. Now, on SFGAm's page for example, you see the carousel, the water park with viper and Bull in the background, etc--things that say "hey, this is great America. this is how we are unique."

They cropped out a photo of Goliath's front car from a rendering (or from the car they showed off at IAAPA) and placed another photo of guest riding a different coaster behind it...

I agree that with the website changes for the different Six Flags parks, I'm glad each park is actually showing off images from THEIR park and not others.

well I wouldn't go that far...

look in the background of that

New Texas Giant

So you are saying that SFGAm needs to go forward in time and take pictures of an operating Goliath so they can have 100% accurate pictures for their preseason promotions? Using a very similar in appearance coaster like NTAG is perfectly acceptable to use in a promotion for Goliath.

You think that might be asking too much?!

You know what I meant. I'm not talking every single photo. At one point years ago, they used Wicked Twister on their site for V2. It seemed like each park on Six Flags' site was using photos from other parks and not their own. Not that it makes much of a difference, but it's nice to actually see photos of rides that are actually from that park. I just hope Six Flags starts using correct merchandise. There was an American Thunder shirt at SFSTl last year with Viper from SFGAm on it.

Goliath end of day, Monday March 10th.

AND WE'VE GOT 8 ON-SIGHT PICTURES ON GREAT AMERICA'S FACEBOOK: https://www.facebook.com/SFGreatAmerica/posts/10151919136406356

They are building the Dive Loop already near the station. The author of the post called it a raven turn but I'll just assume they're talking about the dive loop because there is nothing else to be built with wood. Bents are stacking up nothing has gone vertical though.

Haha, no, they have just improved at using photoshop but they keep recycling photos over and over.

I wonder what is the real coaster those people are riding...

I'm getting more excited for this beast with each picture update.

It's also exciting, that I believe my home park is getting the most exciting new ride in 2014 in 'Merica, possibly the world.

It's going to be the new Batman in the coaster world. A little short, but untamed and convincing at every element. I think everyone who steps off the ride with be rattled, and filled with the best kind of adrenalin. RMC is doing the opposite of jumping the shark with Goliath --- They're changing the game.

Now some of you will bring up Outlaw Run, I call this the next level of coasters due to how the structure is going to dominate this section of the park, and with the steel supports --- I think Goliaths legend will age with more oomph, being the coaster that really, truely made RMC a top tier ride maker, being on every parks "must have list" for the next ten years and counting --- I mean, the structure as a whole is already packing a punch. The wow factor of seeing this bastard in person i really believe will set this RMC creation apart from the previous ones.

Now that i think about it, "Medusa, STEEL COASTER" looks fantastic as well, freaking GREAT. But isn't that an I-Box Coaster?

How does RMC I-Box track ride quality, compare with the topper track that's on Outlaw Run and no Goliath. I know I-box track is all steel, and Outlaw Run's topper track is 4 layers of wood topped with 2 steel pieces. ----- Can anybody layout the pros and cons of each?
