Track Spottings!

Recommended Posts

So what I think is funny is the fact that we were all focused on the red track in this picture a month ago, and Thunderbird's track was visible, but nobody really mentioned it. We always refereed to is as red/orange track together, not separately.

I think that is yellow track and not the Thunderbird orange. The red/orange track does look a little more red than the Thunderbird track but it could just be lighting.

If you look at the

closely, you can see that new tie design we were all talking about a few pages ago. It's the launch track. Pay attention starting around 0:05 just before the propelling tires and continuing on under the LSM plates. So, I think that red/orange track is Thunderbird track but we just don't have anything to scale it to and the lighting makes the color seem redder than the animation does.

You're definitely right. ZeroGravity55 is mistaken, the red/orange track is for Holiday World, and the yellowish track is for some sort of flying/invert coaster, as is the teal track. Which one is for the Chinese flyer, I don't know! I bet they can both be for China though.

Oh, there it is. It's nice to finally see B&M doing a launched coaster. Now the only thing left for them to do (or one of the few) that I'd like to see would be a beyond vertical drop.

The only type of coaster I could see B&M use for a beyond vertical drop would be their Dive Coasters. Other than that, it just seems unrealistic. I don't know why.

I'm catching up on this thread, so let me get it straight. Yellow is for the new flyer in China, white is for Gardaland, reddish/orange is for Holiday World, and teal is unknown. Did I miss any colors? And has B&M ever manufactured this many coasters as once? It's almost overwhelming!

^The only track we are yet to see is for the Carowinds giga, which we assume is either not outside yet, or the track waiting in the background in some pictures. The red track could be Thunderbirds, the rail ties do match the animation at one point. But we only saw different ties on one piece, and that curved, so it doesn't match where we see the new ties in the animation.

In 2012 they opened 6 coasters (excluding Iron Wolf's relocation), two of which were the tallest they had ever built.

^ Also missing the dive coaster track for the Efteling which is opening next year.

I suspect they only recently gave the green light on making those. Wednesday the news came out that the park had the green light to build the ride, so big chance they still have to begin with that.

They already have a bunch sitting on site.
