DRACHEN_FIRE_FAN-BOY
^ Do you think that "L" = "Lift Element" for all coasters? --Robb You beat me to the punch Robb! I think you are right though, it's the only reason I could think there would be an "L" in the label for a floorless coaster.
bgeguy
I would assume that only pieces with "track element" in the description would have a DM or IC in the part number.
Electerik
So we have the following: DM = Diving Coaster IC = Inverted Coaster MC = Hyper/Mega/Speed Coaster ?? = Standup Coaster ?? = Sitting Coaster LC = Flying Coaster ?? = Floorless Coaster So, if we assume that all designations are only two letters long, and that the first type built got first choice of lettering (i.e., Flying couldn't use FC because the Floorless had already taken it), then logic would dictate that this is a Stand Up, since B&M built a couple of those before any sitting coasters. Admittedly, a lot of assumptions there.
robbalvey
What I wonder is if Floorless and Sit Down have different codes. Aren't they dictated more by the train type and less by track type? --Robb
4rturo
^^ Wow, that's clever, never had thought that But then the question comes again about the "L" in the floorless coaster, maybe B&M didn't started using the DM and SC abbreviations until some years later, or maybe how Robb says, it's because it's part of the lift. Time will tell.....
Capitalize
Ok, I don't see it going to sfmm because they have every b&m coaster except the hyper and the dive machine. We all know the track is way to small to be a dive machine and sfmm allready has Goliath.I would love to see this go to BGE, as a flying coaster soaring over the rhine river. But i think it's between SFAmerica and Carowinds. Carowinds is out as they're getting GL's boomerang for 09 & as a result probably won't be seeing a new coaster (or another used one for that matter) for a while & SFA is out simply because corporate simply doesn't give a flying fig about the place so the most likely possibiltiy is KD. Granted CP hasn't added a coaster in three years & VF sure doesn't have anything from B&M so it could very well be a project for either of these two parks as well. KD just got Dominator this season and is receiving the flats for 09, I'm very skeptical that it could be going to KD... Its a big park and receives major additions regularly, but I don't think a hyper could be going there so soon already. I'm fairly certain it isn't going to SFA as well (the optimist in me would love to see that), but I wouldn't say its completely out of the question. The DC area isn't as hurt by the current economic situation as much as some places so maybe they see the potential to bring in crowds with a major addition (finally)... So, that being the case, would there be some type of indicator for it to be classified as floorless?

Admittedly, a lot of assumptions there. But then again, Stand-Up coaster could have had an SU abbrevation so that the Sitting coaster has SC, just a thought. Does anyone have some close up photos of the track on Led Zeppelin? There are a few decent shots on RCDB but they have been scaled so you cant get any fine details, but the full size image could tell what we need to know. Electerik
But then again, Stand-Up coaster could have had an SU abbrevation so that the Sitting coaster has SC, just a thought. True enough. In which case, Robb--with his evil stringing of us along even though he knows what it is!--is tipping his hand with this: What I wonder is if Floorless and Sit Down have different codes. Aren't they dictated more by the train type and less by track type? In which case: Robb did it, with the Floorless Coaster, in the ______ room! /Oops, still don't know where it's going! //Quit denying it, Robb. We all know you're smarter than you look! LOL,why not just email Walt & Claude on the B&M site & inquire about any US installations for the 09/2010 season...and while they're at it they can also inquire about the coding used to identify track type as well? Guy T. Koepp
Did anybody notice that the yellow track is job #5762? 6FNE coaster was job #6011. For christ sakes, it was built in 2002. These pictures are ancient. Possibly from the early to mid 90s at the earliest. Nice work Robb, it's not even April Fools Day yet. You got me! Guy "I feel like such a fool." However now that you as well point this out... I do find it funny.

Goliath513
I'm actually suprised no one has figured out what "X-WORKS" is yet! I have done some research, and I looks like this points to Silverwood. It all started when Gary Norton, founder of ISC Systems Corporation, purchased a small private airport called the Henley Aerodrome in 1981. http://www.silverwoodthemepark.com/history.php ISC Systems Corporation is Gary Norton's company and used to be called Getronics. And X-Works has a connection with Getronics. So X-Works points to Gary Norton - the owner of Silverwood. SC could mean "standing coaster" or "sitting coaster" but the rumors I have heard all point to a stand up.
