fallen xxi
^A crowd that paid $4.44 apiece to be there. Where does this $4.44 business come from? All I've read is that people paid $17.76? Were coupons involved in this?

cgodsey
Hopefully this past weekend showed them that people will NOT pay $40 for entry to this park. Come on FSMP... get it down to $25 and you will be profitable!
CHILLERLC1
That was great to see that pic of proof that the park was really packed on the 4th of July. I'm glad that it's backed up. I'm watching the fireworks show on the 'Tube.

The Disneylander
Good to see that the Independence Day promotion was a success. Now if only they could pull that kind of crowd without bargain-basement prices...

Hercules
Are we talking permanent? I don't really think they can survive on $8.68 per person... I don't really think they could survive at $40 a person, with nobody coming into the park. If they get 4 times the amount of people into the park with this promotion, that makes up the $40 regular pricing. With 4 times as many people in the park, that means they can make much more on concessions, thus making the park more profitable.
Homeboy23
And if they get enough people in the park during this promotion to enjoy their visit, those people might actually want to come back. Which in turn will give them more profit.
Hercules
Ahhhhh. When operations management, marketing and economics join forces it is a beautiful thing.
larrygator
And the new owners don't have to charge nearly as much because their debt load is much lower than the original owners. But they have to convert first time guests into repeat guests somewhere down the road.
monsterfan99
The thing just just looks odd but makes seance is charging more later in the day. Odd how that it might work for them.
Hercules
It looks odd but makes total sense. The main attraction during the day is the beach. After the beach, people need something to do, so there will be a higher demand for other forms of entertainment later in the day, thus, being able to charge more. Also, charging less thus the day may help detract people from the beach and make a park trip last the whole day. Though, I'm not sure if there is enough in the park to warrent an entire day - as previously discussed many times, that is something that needs to be addressed.
