Ed Farmer
Lost Island Waterpark in Iowa was absolutely my first guess as to where Kanonen would end up.
vortex1985
First 2 riders on Valkyria... I think we are close to an opening... Martin Lindgren is the owner of this picture. Valkyria got riders on train.
RollingCoasting
(Sorry to spam the thread) Alright so it does look like Lost Island purchased Kanonen but they aren't planning on installing it yet, and may sell it....
larrygator
Sounds like Kanonen may be headed to Lost Island Waterpark in Iowa This makes absolutely no sense for Lost Island to install this. I see the confirmation post from social media reposted here and if it is legit, this still makes no sense to me.
lond
Today Andreas (CEO) rode Valkyria for the first time. [twitter] [/twitter]twitter It was also a article in the local newspaper about Valkyria that stated that the coaster will open in 2-3 weeks. GP about Liseberg and Valkyria (only in Swedish). /// Marcus edit: Valkyria will have a singel rider queue.

viking86
I'm there from August 8th to 10th... Hopefully it's open by then!! I will be there on August 9-10th, and not having an opening day yet is starting to make me a little nervous. Now, Liseberg is a fantastic park and I would easily be able to have a ton of fun even if Valkyria would not be open, but at the same time it would definitely suck to see the ride and not be able to ride it. Oh, and I'm really happy to hear about the single rider line!
per2012
A small photo update from the park today. Had an amazing day in the park, the lines were not to bad, but unfortunatly a lot of the rides were experiencing a lot of technical problems. Helix were down for most of the afternoon. They were doing a lot of test runs for Valkyria today, they also added a second train to the track during test runs. Helix having a bad day. Valkyria giftshop sign Theming around the tunnel One lucky guy. Finally doing test runs with two trains running.

Valkyria looks like it might have the best dive coaster layout to date, I absolutely love the look of it. Now Liseberg, just give us a f**king opening date before I go crazy!! alejon
Although Liseberg hasn't said anything (officially at least), rcdb now lists Valkyria opening on August 10th.

viking86
Awesome to finally see a full POV of Valkyria, it looks like a really solid ride. I've said it before, but I absolutely love the drop-immelmann-turn-zero-g roll combination!
A.J.
It looks great. It complements Balder well and almost channels the hang time of a wing coaster with that last zero-G roll.
Hilltopper39
For some reason I've always loved the look of the 6 across dive machine trains. Not sure how the ride experience compares to the 8 or 10 seats/row trains but this layout looks like one of the better dive machine layouts B&M has produced. KarlaKoaster
Pointless observation, but I noticed the train seems to 100% stop at the top of the drop. Normally it just slows... right... down... It looks like a fun layout. I'm not a huge fan of Dive Machines apart from the drop, but it looks a bit different at least.
alejon
According to GT, a local tabloid, the press day for Valkyria will be on Tuesday. The ride is complete, but hasn't been written over to Liseberg yet, they cannot open it before then. Liseberg say they don't know exactly which day they will open it to the public, but they expect it to be during next week. On Monday they say they'll have an opening date. https://www.expressen.se/gt/lisebergs-besked-da-har-valkyria-premiar/ So it could potentially open earlier than Friday it seems? JT325
Looks fantastic, fun and UNIQUE. We get record holders here in the states… And they get better looking and more unique rides in Europe.

Most likely since the trains are lighter.
cookiex
IIRC Krake comes to a complete stop and it has the same 6-across setup as Valkyria.
