camthedominator
I fell so bad for you. I have had the Bizarro incident happen to me but I have never been on a crowded day, but I heard from a friend who goes to Sandusky that the lines at Six Flags New England can rival the ones at Cedar point on the right day. RyanTPM
Strange that there is no Y in the letters. Maybe that's just to throw us off though, i'm still going with Iron Cyclone.
Generic Name
One name I would be very surprised to see being used is Twister, considering we had a tornado strike Springfield a few years ago, and I still hear about cleanup stories till this day on the evening news. I'm not saying Six Flags won't use Twister (or Tornado or any variation of those two), but I'm not expecting it.
DarienLaker
I'm going to say "New England Apocalypse" for Six flags New England's RMC coaster since they already have a coaster named "Goliath".
CPSFMMCW
I like the name steel storm! That has a nice ring to it
camthedominator
Yeah, your right, that is a very nice name for the coaster. I can actually see Six Flags doing that. Also Six Flags has never used that name so it would be logical.
alwaysairtime14
So the park is packed today Some of the WORST ops I have ever seen the fp line for bizarro is like almost 50 people long I don't even know why I'm still in line! CT goes back to school tomorrow. Not sure about Mass. NY has 1 more week left. That's why. I went on a WEEKDAY in late August a few years ago and it was hell. ECZenith
"Steel Storm Is Coming" leaves behind DKWEIU "We Kid U" ? Just a couple weeks ago I was saying I believe the name would be storm related but no longer Cyclone, which I feel, feels too retro for such a transition. With "New Cyclone" or "Iron Cyclone" being a little reminiscent of last year's RMC projects, I was hoping for a "Storm" name vs. Cyclone, considering we get Hurricanes and severe storms here in New England, Cyclones are the mirrored version of Hurricanes in the opposite hemisphere but don't quote my meteorology... A cyclone is a humid, low pressure system. It can be anything from a tornado to a section of rainstorms. They usually rotate counterclockwise in the northern hemisphere and clockwise in the southern hemisphere. An anticyclone is the opposite. It's a dry, high pressure system that rotates in the opposite direction of a cyclone.
USCoaster
I thought about heading to the park today but I got a late start and when I checked the forum here and saw the comments about how crowded it was at opening, I decided not to drive from Boston. I did check the season pass site and today was a "bring a friend free" day for season pass holders so I'm sure that may have had something to do with the crowds. NunChaser6685
"Steel Storm Is Coming" leaves behind DKWEIU "We Kid U" ? I actually went back and forth about there being a U and a C or two Cs. So if there are two.... Wicked Steel Storm is Coming?
necoastergp
It's apparently called Wicked Cyclone assuming all the cached six flags info leaked this morning is correct. Which I'm assuming it is.

RyanTPM
Wicked Cyclone does work and also comes up with access denied.
DirkFunk
If you've ventured over to the Magic Mountain thread, you can see that someone found a series of redirects for non authorized webpages. Six Flags New England's site is framed much the same way: https://www.sixflags.com/newengland/wicked-cyclone/overview
CPSFMMCW
Wicked cyclone? Eh, not a fan. They should've gone with steel storm. But I guess they wanted to keep the 'Cyclone' part in the new ride.
necoastergp
^Six flags has kept the original name in the title of all 5 of their RMC hybrids. It's really not that surprising and they've used five different words in the names (new, iron, steel, wicked and twisted). If any more are converted I'd assume that trend would continue. IMHO wicked is better than new and steel.
burningstroller
I think since we are in New England it should have been spelled our traditional "Wickid".
Canobie Coaster
I'm a fan of the Wicked Cyclone name. It's cool how that corner of the park has "New England" names. I can't wait for the official announcement to see the layout since the steeper lift is very interesting.
Blind Idiot God
No, no, if it was titled in true New England fashion, it would be more like "Wicked Fahkin' Cyclone, Khed".
gerstlaueringvar
How about New Massachusetts Cyclone?
ECZenith
Whatever the name I'm willing to bet it will be a wicked pissah ride , guy. The west coast purged my accent but I still get a kick out of hearing others use it. Robb and Elissa hooked me up with fast passed at sfmm, I think he's the only one here to hear it from me as I was new to Cali! I just thing wicked cyclone is a little too close to a certain cedar fair impulse coaster.
Diamondbacker27
New England Cyclone? Like New Texas Giant.
Woodie Warrior
Wicked cyclone? Eh, not a fan. They should've gone with steel storm. But I guess they wanted to keep the 'Cyclone' part in the new ride. I still don't get why everybody loves the name "Steel Storm". In my opinion it is a really lame and boring name. Wicked Cyclone sounds like a great name. But it's not like it really matters. The ride could be named "Poop-Scented Cyclone" and I wouldn't care. It's an RMC, it's gonna be good. gerstlaueringvar
New England Cyclone? Like New Texas Giant. They got New England Sky Screamer this year, I can hear people complaining about Sox Flags naming their rides already.
