TPDave
I would do anything for some ERT on Troy Only 1 person lasted the full 3 hours on Troy. Only 1 person on the trip wasn't an alcoholic.
eBen
You don't have to be an alcoholic to appreciate 3 hours of a free bar at the same time as park ERT. As much as Troy overshadows our time there (for a dam good reason) there was a lot to get done. It was an incredible set up they did for us all round. Days like this are the real reason the 'Happy Happy Joy Joy' song was made!
SteveC
couldn't agree more Ben - I sacrificed most of the free beer time to split my time between Troy, (most but not all time spent there) Booster Bike, crazy Japan style bobkart stuff and log flume craziness - avoiding the slide of poo, the triangle of death and the ropes course of massacre at the same time. - the flying chairs were top - and I had several spins on those too! - no rust on the chains so I felt fairly safe (as safe as you can on those things). Anyway along with the free beer there was free wine so a couple of pints of the vin blanc kept me going good! I was only sorry to miss the last Troy train to leg it back to the bar to collect my bag - only to discover you had rescued it for me regardless- thanks for that BTW
Moose
I would do anything for some ERT on Troy Only 1 person lasted the full 3 hours on Troy. And that person looked bored (or partially dead) the entire time.

robbalvey
Day 4, Part 1 - Efteling Many photos by Hanno Roos, some by Elissa, and some by random people who we attacked and confiscated their memory cards! Oh, yeah, I almost forgot about this creepy little guy who was found in every ones hotel room. He's evil and must be destoryed! He will watch you as you sleep!!! Overall we had a good day at Efteling. It was a favorite among many of our tour participants, which is all that's important! 100% politically correct! Peacock. Does anyone know what the female version is called? This is what happens when you eat too many fries!!!! OMG, that's a LOT of fries! Hanno, that's a LOT of fries! Time to eat....what should we have? Well, I see a LOT of fries! There it is! BTW, for those of you who think this is unique to Efteling, it's not. Lotte World has the exact same Donkey. It's simply an off-the-shelf amusement device you can purchase. Then out pops the golden poop which you can then eat. Messed up, huh? Can you see the poop in this picture? You put your money in. He lifts his tail and exposes the most glorious of donkey bung holes. Next up was the....well...."Shitting Donkey" We wandered through fairy tale land to see the guy with a long neck. Take the picture. Click. Next. "Same" Overall it's a nice ride, but I'm just not into fantasy stuff enough to appreciate it. Are we back in New Orleans? It's like something out of Lord of the Rings. Random castle that oddly enough is bigger than Disneyland's. The ride is "ok" and if you're into Unicorns and Fairies you'll probably love it. Thankfully the line moved. Next up was Dreamflight.... SKLOOSH!!!! But the dark ride part pretty much looked like this most of the time. Many people were all "Oh the dark ride part was amazing" and maybe we just didn't get the same show, but we saw mostly "dark" The coaster section is actually quite fun. The theming in the queue is fantastic! Yay! The ride is open! "Hey look! We are being French Crunched in the Netherlands!" (ps. The technical term for lots of European kids who are aggressively line jumping and pushing is known as the French Crunch no matter what country you may currently be in.) Next we tried to get on the Flying Dutchman since it actually looked like it was going to open today! We had to wait a little bit for some extra testing, but it did open! OMG! They do!!! "Ok Chris, now that ERT is over where are we going next?" "How about the two panthers on the creepy clown face ride?" "Do they have that kind of thing here?" And other Pegasus POV shot. Oh, yeah, I forgot this lift hill shot of Pegasus for you Lift Hill nerds. Enjoy! OMG! OMG! It's a POV SHOT of Bob!!!! "It's just like an onride photo...except the camerawoman has boobs!" Everyone liked riding "Bob" Next for ERT we rode "Bob" Vekoma brace position! OMG! I didn't know the unabomber was on our trip! (Note that could also be Weird Al Yankovic) "Oh, we are so corkscrewed!" Loop-de-loop!!! Next up on the ERT schedule was Python. It's a Vekoma, but it's not bad at all....although front seat dudes aren't so sure about what is going to happen next! I've never seen so many excited people over a kiddie woodie! Everyone seems pleased with their ride but Patrick in the front seat is doing his best Ken/Ryu fireball impression. ERT started on Pegasus. Everyone is having an amazing time. Except for the two in the front seat. The are looking like they are about to pinch a loaf! Efteling is a beautiful park. Here you will find lots of flowers and trees and stinging done by random bees. turbolaaf
Good to read that a lot of people like the park. It's you like it or not and nothing really between it. About the donkey i'm not sure that there is one exactly the same one since Anton Pieck designed the most among years ago including this "shitting donkey". No ERT on vogel rok ? Teacups Make Me Sick
A female peacock is a peahen. Looks like you guys had fun...the pooping donkey looks like fun...maybe six flags can get one. More donky poops...more fun!!!

Moose
Python was actually quite tolerable when one assumed the position, at least that was the case i n the front. The dark ride part of The flying dutchman, was dark but i did like it better than the coaster part, though both parts were a bit short. I was very sad when the shit of said shitting donkey was not chocolate.

robbalvey
Day 4, Part 2 - Drievliet Quite a few photos by Hanno Roos. Some were shot by trolls, others by monkeys. We really did have an awesome time at Drievliet. Formule X was probably the best "Surprise" ERT in that everyone seemed to be pumped out the ride and came away loving it! For me personally Drievliet and Formule X was my favorite part of the day. Elissa loves holding that big thing! Butt shot. Seriously, this ride was just awesome fun! Moose in the camera seat! HAIR TIME!!! Pure fun! Gross! HANG TIME!!!! Hello small parks! Check this ride out! GET ONE OF THESE!!!! You can just really tell by every one's expression this ride was totally "FUN!!!" And lots of hang time! Had this wicked airtime hill... Dropped down vertically. Right into this crazy inversion thingy. It launched almost right out of the station.... I think this was a "surprise hit" for many of us! We knew very little about this ride, but it was AWESOME! And now, the highlight of the day! Why do Rich and Dave look like they just got caught doing something naughty? Could this be the best dark ride of the trip? "Elissa's mom rides something." BINGO! "Cute photo of KidTums and mommy...Check!" Troika, Troika, Troika "Three Hannos! Hold it, nobody said anything about three Hannos. Ooh, that stinking wiseman! He was so busy filling me full of his secret little words and his phrases and his boloney that he never said anything about this." And finally the "OMG, what is Fran doing to Anth?!?!?" expression! The "Maybe that extra slice of cheese pizza wasn't such a great idea" look. The "White man's overbite." "Shocked" - or moments before the guys' face in Raiders of the Lost Ark melts. "Worried" - as played by the 90s' Dan Akroyd. The log flume was quite good. Next up Anth will demonstrate the "many faces of my Log Flume experience." SQUISH!!!! Guys in purple afro hats are sexy. TPR TAKOVER!!! They also have a powered coaster. Wave hi! You're on TPR TV!!! Yep, you guessed it, also build by Maurer Söhne. It was pretty insane! So then there was the Wild Mouse... Elissa doesn't look so hot about the spinning part either. Piers is NOT cool with that! And they have creepy looking owl figures on the back of the cars. It's another bizarre Maurer Söhne creation where you spin...and that's about it! First up we hit Twisterix. Here is a park we knew very little about. Elissa and I had never been there, we knew they had a new launched Maurer Söhne X-Car, but knew nothing else. We had a GREAT time there!
kocm
Was there any video taken of the ride? Even if there was only audio in the dark it might be interesting. Now, the million dollar question is . . . Why are there no shitting donkeys here in the states? Why not a shitting Pluto at WDW? Charge $5/turd and build a real roller coaster with the proceeds. Someone is missing out on good capitalistic fun here.
Benji_crazy
So sad you got the wrong boat then in the flying dutchmanin the Efteling ... Normally the lion in front of the boat has a light in its mouth. During the dark part it glows and gives you just a bit of light so you can see the fog around you and stuff to give you this extra touch. I also did it with a broken light and I do admit, then the darkride part blows. It's ... yeah ... dark and lame. For those who missed it, I think there should be onride videos about that with the fog. But it's a shame if you missed it in real. It's awesome. Great pictures from the Efteling. That park is really amazing.
coaster05
This was definatley an amazing day of parks. Efteling rocked even though i could hardly find the exit, and Formule X was very good. Overall a perfect trip day.
cfc
Drivelet was a cool little park--a great way to end the day. Formule X was a good ride (sure beat the hell out of G Force at Drayton), and it taught me a valuable lesson: Never keep your wallet in your left front pocket of an X Car Coaster, unless you want it fused to your leg when the restraint ratchets down on the drops. window
Looks like you guys are having fun as usual!!! Is Formule X similar to G-Force at Drayton Manor?
