eBen
This trip was fantastic. I met some great people and had a good laugh. Every day had something special, both from what the parks provide for anyone and the special extras (ERT/food/drink) we received whilst rejoicing that, at times made me feel like royalty!! Many thanks to everyone that worked with Robb and Elissa who helped pull this off. It made their insane amounts of effort a stellar performance. robbalvey
Day 3, Part 2 - Toverland. Once again Toverland is awesome. Troy is awesome. And *THREE HOURS* of ERT on Troy (as well as 4 other attractions AND the open bar) kicked ass! Many photos by Hanno Roos, some by other people and a few by yours truly! And thanks for another great event Lian and Barry! Thank you Toverland! Same. I would love to caption this, but anything I write will get me in trouble! "Did we mention there is beer?" "You can do it!!!" Hey, hey, hey! What exactly is going on here?!?! "See, the shirt says I'm legal, like meaning all stachatory and stuff, but there's also a LEGAL PAD so it's funny....get it?" "Do I look like I'm going to fix your phone service or what?" And finally...the Toverland ropes course! Did we mention the bar was open all night? "This is my new #1 Springy Horsey Credit." "I love Toverland!" Even KidTums got to ride stuff! "I believe I can fly" Note the *two* beers next to that plate! Eat up.... but most importantly drink up! The bar is open ALL NIGHT! "I love this food so much I'm going to do my beaver impression!" The Bobkart is like a powered Alpine Slide. "Hi girls....don't you want to ride the Bobkart with me?" Don't forget! Booster Bike is pretty cool too! "I love my magic wand." Score one for the Hoffman Girl! Not so much for Mel. The girls of TPR go for the gold! Mass carnage! "Everyone! RUSH THE TRIANGLE!" It was time to take over the "Triangle of death!" The "outdoor" part of Toverland. "We love Toverland!" Porn, porn, porn.... "A shout out to my Midwest Trip friends!" More Troy coaster porn. Our friends from Belgium meet up with us! How's it going guys! Big train going into tunnel. Hmm...I wonder what was going through those GCI guys mind when they designed this? Ryan is "gleeful" "Hi, I'm the first drop. What you are doing Friday night?" "It admit it. It was me." "Ok, which one of you farted?" Them are some happy TPR riders! "You guys ready for three hours of Troy ERT?" So lets just get down to business - Troy! Translation: The gang with the most gas is Theme Park Review TPR arrives. Everyone is happy! Toverland is a mostly indoor park, but with a few outdoor attractions as well. The park is amazing. The only thing that comes close to this in the USA would be Nick Universe at Mall of America, but Toverland is very unique. I wish more parks like this would be built, but then again it's nice that Toverland is kind of a one-of-a-kind. Ahh, what a site....Troy dwarfs the rest of the park! The sign says we are getting close. Everyone rejoice!

TexTitan01
Once again...wish I was on this trip... Toverland looks like the coolest park. Its a shame there arent more ropes course/ziplize/triangles of death in the US. I guess we're just too uptight bummer...oh well have fun guys! TheRapidsNerd
Ok, EVERY SINGLE CAPTION had me laughing. Great stuff! Robb, that Sony Cam looks similar to the model I use at work. Really really, sharp, clear view screen, right? If the two are the same, you have an excellent rig.
gisco
What's the drinking age?
dammie16@vt.edu
Troy looks similar in style to Thunderhead, which is why it must be awesome! Glad my first TPR trip next year will have me at 22 YO so I can partake in the "festivities"! Great TR!
robbalvey
What's the drinking age? That would be 18 in Europe!
Jew
I'm very disappointed that noone nearly died on the triangle of death. And that the evil X thing on the rope course is gone. Looks like you guys had a great time!
turbolaaf
What's the drinking age? That would be 18 in Europe! Nope 16 for beer and 18 for stronger stuff We where there today and like your pictures showes its a lot of fun in Toverland. Time to build a new indoor part what should be starting next year What do the most think about troy in opinion when you compare it to other GCI's ? ParkTrips
What's the drinking age? 16 for beer, 18 for liquor in Germany, France, Belgium, and the Netherlands (and Holland ) So Kristie is legally drinking the Bavaria.. still not sure why the Dutch named a beer 'Bavaria' maybe they are just paying homage
RIP Psyclone
I remember in Sweden, places like 7-11 would sell beer with a low alcohol content, and I think people of a lower age could buy it. To get "real" beer, you'd have to go to a bar/pub, or a government licensed liquor store, I think.
ParkTrips
^ Yep! Sounds about right from what I've read! .. I've already been looking at the beer culture in Scandinavia
