Hersheypark (HP) Discussion Thread

p. 438: Twizzlers Twisted Gravity announced for 2025!

Hershey put up the Q&A video but I'm still a little confused about the station loading. He says "there will be a separate queue line to get into the front," which is like how many loading platforms are set-up. But then he says something like "and then we have individual seats on one side." So is it basically like a normal station?

It wouldnt' surprise me if Hershey does use a single-riders line for this coaster. The pics of the changes to Comet Hollow show a bit more open space for something like that, and it could be a way of boosting capacity to the coaster once it opens up to the public.

I don't see loading being any worse than a B&M myself- four across is still four across, and while the middle seats are over a track, in the long run, I don't think anybody will care too much- just as people don't really care much over a B&M floorless for the exact same reasons.

289 Days... and falling FAST!

If in fact they keep it as a gate per row of four then I see no issue. An issue will occur if they use the GIB style loading where there's a gate for each row of two. Either way I will be planning a trip there next fall to get this credit as well as my stormrunner and farenheit credits

Those were some crazy storms on Saturday, I have never wandered an amusement park at night and in the rain, with almost no rides running. It was so surreal. I don't think any of the roller coasters resumed operations after the downpours at 7 pm. Thank god we managed to hit most of the coasters we wanted to ride early in the day, although I was denied the nighttime riding I kinda craved with such a late closing. My wife and I managed a rainy, after-dark ride on the Claw and rode Chocolate World tour after the crowds there thinned out, but I think we spent most of the last few hours in the arcades.

Does HP still run the misting fans on Fahrenheit's queue? The one thing I like about Hershey is that all of their queues are pretty much shaded except for part of Great Bear's queue and like all of Fahrenheit's

They actually added several more fans to both queues this season.

I305 style yellow track has been delivered this morning at Hershey Park for SkyRush. Pics were posted to facebook just incase anyone was wondering what style of track Intamin would be using on this coaster. Sorry my phone isn't letting post links or pics.

Wider trains equals wider track. Look at the difference between B&M's standard 4 wide train style vs Griffon at 10 wide. I'm more interested in the change of Intamin's track period. Not following the construction of I-305, it took me a while to realize "hey, this isn't Intamin's normal track." I learned to love the square and triangular crosshatched track and now it has an extra tube running through it. Very cool looking and I'm sure it has some sort of force controlling purpose.

YES^ I still have the business card that Mr.LaMarcus was handing out at the park that says goldenRod85! Oh my...the game was so much fun. Are you a JR Researcher for RIT? I am! I was in the game all along. And posted all the time(just never on here) I was WAY more active in the Facebook group and Keystone Thrills.
