Hercules
^ It depends on the experience you have. They can be very inconsistent from my experiences. Sometimes I love the crab fries, and sometimes I don't (I like the ones I make from home a lot better). And sometimes you don't even want to see the burgers that come out of the kitchen at some locations (not that I think they are appetizing in the first place, but sometimes they even make my meat eating friends want to barf). JJLehto
While I love Hershey, (it's prob my fav park in terms of overall experience) the food is nothing to brag about. I prefer going to Sheetz
GwaziBSRider1
All of this talk about the new restaurant reminds me of Primanti Brothers in Pittsburgh. A place that lots of people fawn over, but several people think is mediocre at best (I'm one of the latter). I've never been to this Chickie and Pete's, but I'll give it a try next year. cal1br3tto
^Cute name (and unique)! I wonder if it'll have custom themed cars, but it's understandable if it doesn't.

Jon Sabo
chocolate samples will be handed out at the end of each ride.
A.J.
chocolate samples will be handed out at the end of each ride. They tried that on the Reese's dark ride, but I don't think that they're doing that anymore. They still give out samples at the end of the tour dark ride in Chocolate World. YoshiFan
I'm surprised it is 48" to ride alone. That seems kind of high for a kiddie coaster.
Ccron10
In addition, the Tea Cups will be a Kisses to Jolly Rancher with riders of the Kisses and Reese's height category needing a responsible rider. The ride is a #3 Moderate Thrill Ride (like CC). http://www.hersheypark.com/rides/details.php?id=102 The Happy Swing will be considered a kiddie ride (#1) and be a Kisses to Twizzlers height category attraction. One taller companion can accompany a child though. Riders in the Kisses category will need to be accompanied by a responsible rider. http://www.hersheypark.com/rides/details.php?id=
Gnome
They should make rides themed to broccoli and spinach or maybe even a protein powder fruit smoothie themed attraction to encourage healthier eating. Imagine the teacups attraction as various types of fruit like strawberries, apples, or pears! I fear that by theming their attractions to jolly ranchers and twizzlers, they are only promoting diabetes.(I'm kidding)

Cars were parked from the stadium all the way to the bridge by the Giant Center. It was very packed yesterday (looked a little fuller than a Saturday during the summer). The line for RXCC was out the entrance and starting to go down the hill and the line for the Claw was to the entrance.pretty much everything had a long line. YoshiFan
I was considering going yesterday with it being warmer out than normal but decided against it. Hearing how crowded it was, I'm glad I stayed away since with such few rides open large crowds, it wouldn't have been fun to wait in line all day. alilstronger
I went to the park this past Saturday and holy crap it was crowded. I have been going to the Xmas celebration for a few years now and I have never seen it that crowded. I have a feeling people that were going to go Sunday last minute changed their mind and went Saturday because of the rain that was supposed to happen up there. I know they have be short staffed with many people back in school but they really could have used opening more rides/attractions. Everything that we rode had at least a 30 minute wait and once it got dark the lines for the train, sky ride, kissing tower and monorail seemed to grow. I have never seen the line for the Reese's Cup Challenge way out of the queue before.
YoshiFan
Maybe they could try to run Trailblazer or some more flats next year. I know they don't run the coasters because of the cold weather but Arrow mine trains have some of the lower requirements compared to other coasters (I want to say its 33 degrees but not 100% sure on that) and just have a disclaimer that if the temperature drops below a certain level, it won't run. That would probably help with crowds.
alilstronger
^ I was thinking the same thing. I know Dollywood runs their coasters in the cold. A disclaimer is exactly what they do for Springtime in the Park.
tarheel1231
Dollywood is in the Southeast. Even in it's mountain location, it is fairly warmer in the winter because it is closer to the equator than Hershey Park. Currently, it is 41 degrees farenheit in Pigeon Forge and 34 in Hershey. alilstronger
^ It was in the 40's at Hershey this past Saturday when I was there. Dollywood runs their coasters the entire season even when temps drop down below 40. With Hershey temps have to reach at least and hold at 50 degrees just for testing to begin. I could be wrong though.
Aceattack52
^ 50 seems pretty high. Dollywood operated some rides at as low as 33 degrees (If I am also not mistaken)
coasterbill
At Dollywood it needs to be 40 degrees to start the coasters and then they'll run until it gets below 36. Hershey is very conservative with their minimum temperatures.
alilstronger
^ Yes, they are sure. they always seem to bring it up on their Facebook page right before Springtime in the Park since it can still be cold and snow in the area at the time.
YoshiFan
I'm glad other parks in the area aren't so strict. Dorney runs their coasters in the 40s and I have seen Great Adventure run all the coasters even when the temperature was just over 30 degrees. With Springtime In The Park not starting until April 12th, hopefully the temperatures won't be a problem.
