MonkeyPants Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 So here I am going nuts, hoping for spring to arrive, and I thoght I'd share some CP pics I took late last summer to help tide people over the last month before coaster weather arrives.... I've been spotted! Me likey. Must come down. What goes up.... I do believe this whole family needed to make a stop at Wal-mart for new dainties not too long after this moment. Some screamin' peeps on Power Tower. This one has a train on it. And here's another one! Talk about segue. A test shot that I thought looked kinda cool. Playing a bit... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! If you guessed "Wicked Twister" you're right! If not, you should be ashamed to caller yourself a Major-Roller-Coaster Dork. Here's a little challenge (very little)... What Cedar Point rollercoaster is this? When you ride the Sky Ride, it seems pretty high up... What's does this say about Dragster? These Demon Drop riders are just hangin' out. They had some ratchet-type thingies holding various stuff in place. And stuff. Some work on Rappie's chain. (Raptor doesn't use a cable-lift, in case you were wondering). Fly-by I like this shot Zoom! Those same peeps from before, only this time much steeper. Big ol' drop More peeps having fun! I love all the people's expressions in this shot! Everyone is having a blast! Ok, this officially qualifies as a nerd shot, cause I took it specifically to show those little wheels under the train that magically lift the anti-rollback dogs, resulting in the quite ride up the lift. Ride. Big ride. Obligatory Driving-Across-The-Causeway-Skyline shot
ebl Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 Incredible close-up shots! Now if only someone would do this at SFMM... Â Eric
scooterdoug Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 Dude, those are awesome pictures! What kind of a camera do you have? I mean, that zoom is incredible. I love how clearly you can see the riders' faces (and some great expressions). Again, great shots. It makes me want to go back NOW! Less than two months to go for me... -Doug
Nrthwnd Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 The family OMG shot. Â Â That's the money shot... Â Some great shots here. Â Thanks for sharing them.
ttd rox Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 Great pics especially of Millenium Force. People's faces on there going down the drop was halarious! Once again, I loved the pics!
Jekoon Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 Just when I thought my obsession with Cedar Point was over, you post this. Â The facial expressions are priceless.
Skramp Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 Those are some amazing shots. I love the one below. Maybe we should start a poll and bet on whether she peed herself or not? Check out the girl in the second row in blue, that look just cracks me up!!! Haha!! Chick in blue in second row just wet herself. And guy in red shirt is like "I just got peed on!!"
RIP Psyclone Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 Who else thinks those pics would be worthy of Hanno?
Bucket Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 What GREAT pictures of Cedar Point! Some of the best guest reaction pictures I have ever seen! What kind of camera did you use?
robbalvey Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 Great photos! Worthy enough of the front page! Thanks for posting. Â --Robb
zeke11793 Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 Wow those are amazing pictures! Really awesome close-up shots! What type of camera do you use?
Themeparkceo Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 Awesome pictures! You should be Cedar Point's photographer; or you could sell them some of your pictures because they are soo clear and amazingly close. Same question as above^????
nagro5 Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 You just gave me my new wallpaper. Great pictures! What camera do you use?
Voyage_luvr Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 Holy crap, I think I know the 2nd girl from the left in the 1st picture. She is even wearing a shirt from my school it looks like it says "Marion". Â Nice pictures by the way!
BeemerBoy Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 Cedar Point seriously needs to put you on the payroll. These were just as incredible as the ones you posted last year! Awesome stuff.
WillMontu Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 All I can say is wow. I'm assuming that you have a huge zoom lens for the Millennium Force shots. Also, how were you able to pan the Twister ones so well, especially when its going at that speed? Â If I ever get a real job, I want to invest in a nice camera for shooting coaster porn.
Cheesey Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 Dude! Amazing pictures to say the least. Really made me want to go ride Millie. Unfortunately I don't think that's going to happen for me this summer  Anyways, it would be awesome if you could zip the HQ millennium force ones. That would totally be my desktop. Awesome job!
Coaster Palooza Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 Great photos Mark! Hopefully we'll see you at some point this summer. Any plans on where/when you're going yet?
Hammer8 Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 Seriously...those are the most amazing pics I've ever seen. Please tell us what camera that is you're using. I'm buying one!
angryemobeaver Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 Awesome pics! You must have an amazing camera.
gotdane Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 Apparently Hanno's got some competition. Â Great pictures.
TexTitan01 Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 I remember your closing day CP photo TR! Those were some amazing pictures, and these are just as good! I love all the onride reactions you captured, those are my favorites, especially the family on Power Tower, @ that little boys reaction... thats a look of true terror. Â Between you & Hanno, we have some SERIOUSLY good photographers on TPR.
Montu_Man_1011 Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 Some of those pics should be printed on a poster. They are awesome! I really like that one from the causeway and the first one of MF after it.
