PKI Jizzman Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 "I will compare El Toro and Maverick. However I have not ridden Maverick, so I will call them equal."
Yankee cannonball Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 ^^^yeah, CF totally needs to add 5 coasters and a flat! RIGHT NOW!!!!
Swimace Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 "I will compare El Toro and Maverick. However I have not ridden Maverick, so I will call them equal." Give him a break, you're taking the quote out of context which is misleading in my opinion, it's like you're picking apart posts and judging them. He was comparing the parks, and those seem to be the most popular rides at both parks. He was essentially saying Cedar Point's "best" coaster versus Great Adventure's "best" coaster. It certainly wasn't the best argument ever formulated, but it's not nearly as stupid as it sounds when you isolate that one sentence. It wasn't a great post, but there have certainly been worse things posted on this site. His post added more to the topic than your "just quoting" post did, which served no purpose to the thread other than to be condescending.
PKI Jizzman Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 Well, I was obviously mislead. I read the whole thing a few times to see if I was missing something, and I couldn't find it. He didn't say he was comparing the popular rides, he just said Maverick and El Toro. It just sounded stupid to me. Edit. I saw his other post and he cleared things up. I get it now and see what he's saying. No need to argue about what someone else said; we both made mistakes I guess.
Swimace Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 He didn't say he was comparing the popular rides, but I felt it was implied because that was the only explanation that made any sense. His post was a poor argument that was sort of confusing and convoluted, but when isolate a single sentence from an entire paragraph then you're just amplifying a poor post in order to try and make it sound worse than it actually was. It was kind of a dumb thing to compare the two coasters, but you responded with a post that consisted of two words which added nothing to the discussion other than to ridicule someone. He was at least trying to add to the topic with his post, albeit he probably needed to think about what he was saying more. To sum it up, I think you picked out a sentence because using a single sentence is more effective in making him look stupid than using his entire post. This thread walks a fine line between laughing at fellow TPR member's dumb posts (we've all had them) and being mean, and I think you were being a little mean by picking at a post like that. Just my opinion though, take it for what it is.
BlackHole2005 Posted May 23, 2008 Posted May 23, 2008 ill give the hoffman girl a level of sensation thats off the charts. Ewwwwww.
chmilo24 Posted May 24, 2008 Posted May 24, 2008 ^Here are some more for you. now now now....you have the wrong image of me. im not some creepy internet predator, soon to be seen on datelines to catch a predator, instead, i am a mid twenties male simply stating what the other men were thinking. yes, (kristi, is it?), is very hot, but im not sitting over here with a sock over my bits and pieces.... i was just admiring God's masterpiece that accompanied yall on the trip... Just don't let her scream in your ear! Oh I'd let her scream allll she wants....
BlackHole2005 Posted May 24, 2008 Posted May 24, 2008 Okay...that first one was just.......... shocking.........
astroworldfan1 Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 You know it's bad when you have to quote yourself for saying something stupid! What is the dumbes of them all? Reading the Directions and finding out you've been doing it wrong until you've the directions on the Toliet Paper. -Tatum
Hercules Posted May 29, 2008 Author Posted May 29, 2008 New rule - No more quoting yourself to get attention.
mcjaco Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 ^ Amen. And stop quoting those moronic stalker posts about Bob's daughter.
Teacups Make Me Sick Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 New rule - No more quoting yourself to get attention. Aww...be nice to the young'ens. Tatum--if you want to be quoted...PM me the quote and I'll put you on here.
Hercules Posted May 29, 2008 Author Posted May 29, 2008 New rule - No quoting someone just because they want to be quoted for attention. Saying something dumb isn't something to be proud of.
Teacups Make Me Sick Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 ^No, saying something dumb is'nt a badge of honor. However... One shouldn't feel proud of demeaning others by pointing out their mistakes/flaws, but that is the purpose of this thread. If someone wants to call out silly things that they said...then whats the big deal?
Hercules Posted May 29, 2008 Author Posted May 29, 2008 I'm not proud of demeaning people, and that is not the soul purpose of this thread. The purpose of this thread is to give an example to people of what not to say on the boards in order to be taken seriously. Plus, a lot of the things that have been brought up in this thread are a good example of things that will get you banned and go against the posting policies set forth by Robb and Elissa.
astroworldfan1 Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 I didn't post that for attention. Colin told me last night how stupid that was. Sorry if it sounded like I wanted attention. The post was stupid. I don't wan't attention. I didn't relize it was stupid and didn't make sense when I posted it. Sorry. -Tatum

onewheeled999 Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 There were about 50 posts from a guy that said "and reliable" all the time. He made horrendous videos, so I heard. This deserves to be brought up again.
DBru Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 Seriously though, every time I think about this park, I think about how it should have a Thunderhead type thing somewhere. It really needs it in my opinion.
phazan Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 I didn't post that for attention. Colin told me last night how stupid that was. Sorry if it sounded like I wanted attention. The post was stupid. Sorry. -Tatum Don't listen to cool people on the internet (Chances are, they are only cool on the internet!)...only worry about looking stupid to people in real life. Trying to be popular on an internet forum is stupid. Let that be a life lesson...at leased through highschool!
the sound Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 there were "diabetic" bees hanging out around my cousins DIET coke earlier at SFGAm...
