"I will compare El Toro and Maverick. However I have not ridden Maverick, so I will call them equal."

Give him a break, you're taking the quote out of context which is misleading in my opinion, it's like you're picking apart posts and judging them. He was comparing the parks, and those seem to be the most popular rides at both parks. He was essentially saying Cedar Point's "best" coaster versus Great Adventure's "best" coaster. It certainly wasn't the best argument ever formulated, but it's not nearly as stupid as it sounds when you isolate that one sentence.

It wasn't a great post, but there have certainly been worse things posted on this site. His post added more to the topic than your "just quoting" post did, which served no purpose to the thread other than to be condescending.

Well, I was obviously mislead. I read the whole thing a few times to see if I was missing something, and I couldn't find it. He didn't say he was comparing the popular rides, he just said Maverick and El Toro. It just sounded stupid to me.

Edit. I saw his other post and he cleared things up. I get it now and see what he's saying. No need to argue about what someone else said; we both made mistakes I guess.

He didn't say he was comparing the popular rides, but I felt it was implied because that was the only explanation that made any sense. His post was a poor argument that was sort of confusing and convoluted, but when isolate a single sentence from an entire paragraph then you're just amplifying a poor post in order to try and make it sound worse than it actually was. It was kind of a dumb thing to compare the two coasters, but you responded with a post that consisted of two words which added nothing to the discussion other than to ridicule someone. He was at least trying to add to the topic with his post, albeit he probably needed to think about what he was saying more.

To sum it up, I think you picked out a sentence because using a single sentence is more effective in making him look stupid than using his entire post. This thread walks a fine line between laughing at fellow TPR member's dumb posts (we've all had them) and being mean, and I think you were being a little mean by picking at a post like that.

Just my opinion though, take it for what it is.

now now now....you have the wrong image of me. im not some creepy internet predator, soon to be seen on datelines to catch a predator, instead, i am a mid twenties male simply stating what the other men were thinking.

I'm not proud of demeaning people, and that is not the soul purpose of this thread. The purpose of this thread is to give an example to people of what not to say on the boards in order to be taken seriously. Plus, a lot of the things that have been brought up in this thread are a good example of things that will get you banned and go against the posting policies set forth by Robb and Elissa.

Seriously though, every time I think about this park, I think about how it should have a Thunderhead type thing somewhere. It really needs it in my opinion.

I didn't post that for attention. Colin told me last night how stupid that was.

Sorry if it sounded like I wanted attention. The post was stupid. I don't wan't attention. I didn't relize it was stupid and didn't make sense when I posted it. Sorry.

Don't listen to cool people on the internet (Chances are, they are only cool on the internet!)...only worry about looking stupid to people in real life. Trying to be popular on an internet forum is stupid.

Let that be a life lesson...at leased through highschool!
