montezooma Posted October 12, 2007 Posted October 12, 2007 I loved the Orient Express. The name was great, it fit nicely into the themed section of the park, the station fit the theme and overall the ride was fun to ride and watch. Gemini is also a great arrow coaster, i wish more of this style was built. I t is smooth, fast, fun and the capacity kicks a$$.
**McFly** Posted October 13, 2007 Posted October 13, 2007 Interesting to read all of the comments. I don't think too many people think about Arrow Coasters anymore, but back in the day they were the sh!t. There are still some really good rides out there, but most of them are getting old. For me, when Viper at SFMM first opened I was hooked. When X at SFMM first Opened I was hooked. Years from now we will probably see the same type of thread, but it will be B & M instead of Arrow....
deaconnor Posted October 13, 2007 Posted October 13, 2007 To me it's Tennessee Tornado. Front row ride is awesome. Great ride. It's one of the fastest too, at 70+mph. Not rough at all either.
TheRapidsNerd Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 Fave Arrow? Pipeline Coaster Prototype. Always thought that concept was cool.
Medusa1861 Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 Excalibur at Valleyfair! Short but SWEET! I'd still say most underrated coaster in Minnesota...
natatomic Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 Magnum, with Tennessee Tornado a decently distanced second. I dunno, I tend to have near-black outs on Arrow loopers more than any other type of coasters, so while I still ride them, they're just not my favorite.
gatorchomp83 Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 By far, Tennessee Tornado! Smooth, GREAT location and I have to remind myself everytime that it IS an Arrow.
socalMAN123 Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 Matterhorn. Who can't forget the original Arrow coaster? ---Brent
Canobie Coaster Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 For me it's good ole Nessie. Those two drops at the beginning and the uncharacteristically smooth ride for an Arrow won me over. Big Bad Wolf is the close second.
Reon Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 Vortex at KI. One of my favorite coasters at the park, and its FILLED with airtime.
pacoasterrider Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 I love Big Bad Wolf. That second drop is a experience that you will not find on many other coasters. Head first at the water then slung on you're side with the watter at you're ear. Great theming too I'd love to ride Tennessee tornado tho, it looks awesome.
raptorcrew2002 Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 Multi-Loop: Drachen Fire. (Yes I said it) Simply for being the most unique Arrow design and I always had fun riding it. You just had to know how to sit and where to brace Prototype: X. Still has not been fully visualized and utilized for what this ride system could be, and can do. But still a very fun ride either way.
the ghost Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 I really liked Nessie, the interlocking loops are great, I also love BBW second drop over the lake. That was the single crazies moment of any coaster ever because I could swear I was about to invert.
bflag Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 Matterhorn. Who can't forget the original Arrow coaster?---Brent Tops on my list.
Bolliger&Mabillard Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 Prototype:X Mine train Road Runner Express Looper: Viper (SFMM)
GoogleMickey Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 X is truly amazing, and if I had to choose a more traditional roller coaster it have to be Viper. Its amazing, but thats only since they adjusted the trains. Before they fixed it up, I thought it was the worst ride ever, no joke.
Groteslurf Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 Big Bad Wolf. That's really a great ride. Especially the 2nd drop is awesome.
hansrubens Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 Don't know if Phantom's Revenge counts as a real Arrow. My 2nd favorite Arrow must be Loch Ness Monster
mlambert21 Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 Tennessee Tornado by far # 1 for me only smooth looper. Then Loch Ness #2.
