Ccron10 Posted September 21, 2007 Posted September 21, 2007 OMG it's the return of the Rabbit Burger! I wish B&M had those type of cars on a coaster over here.
montezooma Posted September 21, 2007 Posted September 21, 2007 Yes, Universal was probably the highlight of my trip. The park was great, attractions where top notch and best of all, the employees and guests at the park were very friendly and having a great time! Â WOW what a great trip that was, good to be back in the states and caught up on my sleep and bank account, but I find myself missing the "decompressing" that took place after a long day at a park or "parks" . Â Thanks again to Rob and Elissa for all their patience, great planning and weather predicting! now that is what I call a "pink panther" Toothless aggression - the best technique Jaws boat papparrazzi
RIP Psyclone Posted September 21, 2007 Posted September 21, 2007 That Aska chick is HOT! Â Nothing beats the fangirl harem, though.
disneygurlz2s Posted September 21, 2007 Posted September 21, 2007 Lovin' Thing 1 and Thing 2.... so cute! Â Shari
coasterdude5 Posted September 21, 2007 Posted September 21, 2007 Awesome update, Robb! Universal Stuidos looks like a great park, and Hollywood Dream does remind be of the "build it through" strategy that I take alot in RCT.
Leaping La Ronde Boobis Posted September 21, 2007 Posted September 21, 2007 That looks like a smorgasborg of Universal rides with some original ideas. Man I want to go to Japan. Â Did you get to ride the last BTTF on earth?
bulldogmom Posted September 22, 2007 Posted September 22, 2007 Great pics, and great captions, as usual. All of those frozen Cokes look awesome. The pic of the Lucy's psychiatry stand is priceless.
Nrthwnd Posted September 22, 2007 Posted September 22, 2007 Did you get to ride the last BTTF on earth? Â Yes, I'm pretty sure most of us did ride BTTF, and although it was great to ride it after these so many years, there was a black mis-shaped spot of "something or other" on and near the bottom of the omni screen that the film is projected on... Â Drove me nuts just noticing it every time our focus was pulled to that area of the screen. Â I should have mentioned it to the ride ops, and knowing the Japanese now, it would have probably been gone by the time we rode it again later on, heh heh.
Mr. Volcano Posted September 22, 2007 Posted September 22, 2007 Glad to see everyone is having a great time! I like Elissa and Kidtums Thing 1 and Thing 2 shirts. haha. I never realized that you got to choose your own music on Hollywood Dream, thats pretty neat. Â -Justin
ebl Posted September 22, 2007 Posted September 22, 2007 Kind of a strange thing to note, but I like the pink, gray, and white color scheme of the new Universal coaster. Â Eric
ThatFalafelGirl Posted September 22, 2007 Posted September 22, 2007 this was my first universal park, and i didn't really go in with any expectations, but it really was a fantastic park. The addition of The Beatles to a roller coaster might be just about the most brilliant idea of the century. Especially a coaster with so much "gling!" Everything there was really awesome....mmmm, maple popcorn....but i think my favorite of the day was Jaws in Japanese, that just cracked me up.(oh, and the curry flavored pumpkin pizza (with fried chicken!) in the new england section) Many thanks to Chuck for giving me the lowdown about what the hell was happening in english.
Nrthwnd Posted September 22, 2007 Posted September 22, 2007 I never realized that you got to choose your own music on Hollywood Dream, thats pretty neat. Â Yeah, but you had to do it before leaving the station, or it locked in on whatever choice (of five) was lit up. Â I then suffered through a Bon Jovi number from that happening but the ride and it's nice little POPsss of air made up for my musical mistake, lol.
Meteornotes Posted September 22, 2007 Posted September 22, 2007 Universal Japan was awesome fun. Best Jaws ride ever, just because of how enthusiastic the boat operator was. Â dt
robbalvey Posted September 22, 2007 Author Posted September 22, 2007 <> Â $100 of Pizza never tasted soooo good!!! Â Universal Japan seemed like the most expensive park in Japan (food, drinks, souvenirs, tickets, express passes) but it was worth it! Â Just rode our last coaster in Korea and had an amazing goodbye Korean BBQ dinner. Off to the airport in the morning, then the updates will come fast and furious!
ash.1111 Posted September 22, 2007 Posted September 22, 2007 Is there such thing about jRap? or jCountry?
cfc Posted September 22, 2007 Posted September 22, 2007 Universal Japan was awesome fun. Best Jaws ride ever, just because of how enthusiastic the boat operator was.  dt  Yes, you have not experienced Jaws until you have heard it in Japanese.
Nrthwnd Posted September 22, 2007 Posted September 22, 2007 ^ Same went for Terminator 2: 3D, for me. Â The hostess was a hoot, and she was just falling over herself overacting and sending up a pretty lame part for the attraction. Â Definitely had the preshow audience in stitches and I still didn't understand what was really going on, but it didn't really matter. It felt very funny and I laughed along, just because. Â Same went for the Jungle Cruise guide we had on our boat, at TDL. Over the top in movements and actions, which made up for lack of understanding the language, lol. Â They were all great.
Team Thriller Posted September 22, 2007 Posted September 22, 2007 That looks so cool. I love the, 'Give me a bannana!' pic. made my day  The Universal Pics where SOO! Awesome. I've read so much about Hollywood Dream and think it would be awesome.
rabid disney Posted September 22, 2007 Posted September 22, 2007 I have a few aussie mates that work at Universal on transfer from our parks, they say it a awesome place and your photos are great Robb you guys look like you were all having a blast. Â Dream looks like fun. Â And KidsTums was really enjoying Universal really nice stuff. Â And Robb the Joey stuff was priceless
ChrisFL Posted September 23, 2007 Posted September 23, 2007 I was having a bad day until I read that JP shirt...wtf?? I love Engrish
Airtime&Gravity Posted September 23, 2007 Posted September 23, 2007 Is Ralph's at Universal Studios still selling storm troopers? Â Good to hear you had fun, and Universal Studios Japan looks like a really cool park, and the Peanuts coaster looks like the best themed kiddie coaster. Hollywood Dream looks strange going through the building, but overall, it looks great especially at night.
DarkStitch626 Posted September 23, 2007 Posted September 23, 2007 Â Um...looking at the chick..should a thumb reaaaally bend that way holy crap...
