downunder
This wasnt a rumour but it didnt end up happening.. There was a B&M dive machine on the way to aus. It was cancelled but. Who knows where it is now.. There were even pictures of the track made in some warehouse! Hopefully movieworld get it or something. That would be way cool. I'm a little sceptical, I know people who would have known if something like that was coming to Australia and I haven't heard a peep. I also think if they were at the point of fabricating track for a ride, it is bit beyond the point of cancelling the project without significant financial penalties. Do you have a source on this? Airtime&Gravity
^Maybe he is thinking of that Busch Gardens Africa type of park that got cancelled. I think there was a dive machine in the concept art for the proposed park. Other than that, I don't remember a dive machine planned for Australia, but then again, I don't live there, so I could be wrong.
downunder
^I did think of that, but that only got to the proposal stage so I doubt they would have been fabricating track that early, they didn't even get to the point of funding it.
jedimaster1227
^Remembering that this concept surfaced online, I can vaguely see where the idea could come from, but like with any other project--its not real until visible work or an official announcement is made. I really can't imagine B&M even beginning to fabricate track for a park that isn't set to open within a decent period of time when they would start to install. I can't picture any serious company doing that in reality.
paulie123
Yeah im talking about the African park. Im not entirely sure that the track that i saw was coming to aus. Thats what i was told over msn by a fellow fanatic in the US. More info can be found on either.. www.parkz.com.au OR www.australianamusementfanatics.com/forums I really wish this went through as id love to ride a dive machine. And besides.. With AUS only having about 6 DECENT themeparks this really would have been great to have 7 to choose from Cant help but to be a bit jealous of americans having all them themeparks. Imagine being a harcore fanatic and the closest themepark to you was 12 hours. It sucks Lunapark sydney doesnt count. Thats just a bunch of old rusty carnival rides placed on the harbour.. When im 18 im gunna do a trip with TPR. Ive started saving and im cant wait But back on the topic.. Im really not sure if the pictures i saw of B&M dive track was the track set for aus or some other park.
downunder
^It's a shame that Australian parks don't get the numbers to fund $20 USD+ coasters, I think B & M's are generally viewed as a bit expensive for oz parks. What I'd love to see is an Intamin Megalite, which is still probably around $16 million USD. My rumour is that there will be no new coasters at the Gold Coast parks in 2009 (note Jet Ski opened 2008).
Jds03
Six Flags America has a facebook page promising "A HUGE announcement is coming". Notice the use of all capps, that makes it even bigger than huge. http://www.facebook.com/note.php?note_id=44866755938 Any speculations? Hopefully Ultra Twister.... I really want to ride a pipeline... but I guess Led Zeppelin is a possibility, and it'd be good for the park to have a B&M.
downunder
^Maybe they are moving the Guantanamo Bay facility and inmates there, out by the private picnic area might work.

raptor2011
According to screamscape, they got a piece of information that Voodoo will become Possessed in 2009. The name isn't that bad considering that Cedar Fair could have gone with Steel Venom again, and it sort keeps with the theme(if there is one). Bolliger&Mabillard
A past-tense name for a ride just seems grammatically odd.
BuschSchoe
A past-tense name for a ride just seems grammatically odd. I'd have to agree with that... I just can't hear myself going, "Lets go ride Possessed!" Anyways, I read somewhere on another forum that Cedar Point has a contract with Intamin to construct 5 coasters before 2010 is over. Anyone have any information to back this up or is this just a silly rumor?

That's definitely a rumor which has NO truth behind it.The economic downturn in recent months/years does not support it & CF isn't about to waste that much money on just one park. jpmaher228
just a thought.... but if Holiday World's Pilgrims Plunge goes over well it would be a nice fit for Cedar Point

Bolliger&Mabillard
^It'll probably be like a bad movie you happened to have paid for. You sit through the whole thing irratated hoping that the ending will be halfway decent, and when you finally get to it, it's so abstract and cliched, you just become even more pissed off. coolhandluke
Silver Dollar City's new map has the space next to the Riverfront Playhouse (behind the Midtown train depot) labeled with a "New Ride Coming in '10!". My guess is relocation(s) from CC...? best case scenario may be SDC's counterpart to Mystery Mine, perhaps? But I don't know how much room is in the area they indicate, as park maps tend to skew the land area.
