Tobias94 Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 Bon-Bon Land has confirmed that they will have a new coaster in 2007. It will be a spinning coaster so i think that it will be a lots of fun. No information is known for the moment.
SharkTums Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 I can't wait to see what it's themed to!!!!!
ECZenith Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 Oooo hopefully it's going to be like Knott's free-spinning trains, I also can't wait to see the "creativity" the park puts into theming its rides... hehe.
haux Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 A spinning coaster? The cars will probably be shaped like nipples, and it'll just go around in endless helices shaped like breasts.
PKI Jizzman Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 Oh jeez....Bon Bon Land....I cant wait to see what this is themed to aswell! Spinning....hmm maybe some random animal throwing up?
RCfanatic Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 Nice! Sounds like fun, especially with Bon-Bon Land's unique theming skills (can't wait to see the theme !!!). RCDB sais its a Gerstlauer Spinning, i've never been on one but i hear they're not so bad (thow not as good as Maurer Sohne's).
coastermaniac1 Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 It is a Gerstlauer Spinning coaster. Â Â Â http://www.rcdb.com/id3802.htm
bulldogmom Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 How about goat turds? They're round- they could spin, I guess (I worked at a zoo once, that's how I know so much about goat turds). I can see it now- "The Rolling Goat Turd Coaster".
StyleStorm Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 According to a Roller Coaster Magazine the name is not 'Kater'. It is 'Han Katten' and that makes alot more sense seing as 'Kater' doesn't mean anything in danish, and in the other hand 'Han Katten' means Male Cat, and knowing Bonbon Land's screwed up names, that seems more right.  Also, the layout is this one, just with spinning cars.  Here  I think this is a great addition to Bonbon Land, and it is quite funny, this is the first Gerstlauer Spinning Coaster to Europe, and the first Eurofighter was first constructed at this park. Now we just need to new Gerstlauer Launch Coaster to Bonbon Land.
bgwfreak Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 http://www.bonbonland.dk/Default.aspx?ID=445&Purge=True  On this page (I don't speak the language) it says something about 2007, then there is a coaster photo.  Is this one of their current coasters, or maybe an example of the new one?  Also on the main site (not the English version) it has a recent press release, but I'm not sure what it says. lol  http://www.bonbonland.dk/Default.aspx?ID=1515&M=News&PID=10105&NewsID=95
StyleStorm Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 On the front page it says "Thanks for this season. We will open again the 4th May 2007" The picture is of their current Eurofighter Coaster, Vildsvinet. Â The press release is of their new indoor amusement park, Fantasy World, with playgrounds, small attactions and restaurants. I guess you could compare Fantasy World a little to Toverland, but it is not in the scale that Toverland is. The press release doesn't say anything about the new coaster.
bigstevet07 Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 If that layout is correct, then welcome to the wonderful world of Spinning Dragons/Pandemonium clones! I am sure this one will be a lot more interesting considering the park that its going to be located.
DerekRx Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 If it was actually named "Kater" and themed to food, it would be ACE's dream come true! Â I prefer the Maurer Sohne spinners over the Gerstlauers, but they're both more unique than the crazy mice.
bigjohnson51 Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 If that layout is correct, then welcome to the wonderful world of Spinning Dragons/Pandemonium clones! I am sure this one will be a lot more interesting considering the park that its going to be located. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure this layout isn't a clone of Spinning Dragons. The first drop looks kind of insane. Overall looks like it could be pretty fun, especially themed to a male cat!
USRoadTripper Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 It is 'Han Katten' and...'Han Katten' means Male Cat, and knowing Bonbon Land's screwed up names, that seems more right. Â Hair ball themed coaster? I could see them having the cars spin out of a cats mouth. Â -Julie

I could see them having the cars spin out of a cats mouth.  -Julie  That's good.  ...or they could have a cat turd coaster, where you come out of the cat's ***. I think you get the idea.
StyleStorm Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 I also prefer Mauer's over Gerstlauer's mainly because of their horseshoe element, wich are pretty intense. But seing as Bonbon Land added a Eurofighter a couple of years ago i think they could get the price just a little down on this new coaster. Â As for the theming, it's Bonbon Land, you never know what to expect.

That drop looks a little more intense but after that the middle part with the helixes is pretty much the same. The end looks different too. I wish we could get a Mauer around here.
crazyrider06 Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 Cant wait to see what this is going to be, I will be anticipating until more info. Comes out
Machtin Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 Maybe the guy who spread the name "Kater" wasn't any good at geographics. "Kater" means tomcat, just like "Han Katten", but it's actually German. Â I don't know about Danish, but in German, "Kater" can also mean having a hangover. So maybe the ride is about totally wasted cats that are too dizy to walk straight. Â That would be a nice concept for a spinning coaster and would also fit right into Bon Bon Land's kind of humour. But I don't think that this pun works in Danish, which is too bad.
IwantRevenge Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 I'm almsot afraid to see the themeing. Dog Fart, Nipples, Vomit, and/or Poo will most likely be used.
CP_RULES Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 I hope you guys realise that this is NOT a gerstlauer spinner, but instead a Bobsled coaster such as Cobra@ Paultons Park or Heiße Fahrt @ Wild- und Freizeitpark Klotten/Cochem.  Either way, Im sure it will be one amazing ride!
MidtownCoaster Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 There is also another behavior that only MALE cats do that has not been highlighted. Perhaps we will spin and mark our territory/be marked as territory...
