^ I bet you if they did this on Psyclone, someone would either have to go to the hospital, or die from the pain and disorientining ride. There would be no way to get me on Psyclone backwards unless you paid me.

They should launch Superman backwards. Now that would be wierd. Or, put the trains on Tatsu backwards. That would just be freakin crazy. Colossus, not so much. But, my dad said if we could find some way to get me up to SFMM on that day, he would let me go.

The other prize is an lifetime exit pass for every park in the world (or thereabouts) because you will be in a wheel chair for life after 13 hours.

I would give it a try if I lived in the area.

Despite the fact that I was a kid at the time, and was not much into riding rollercoasters yet, I can tell you that the park has run Psyclone backwards before. I want to say that they did this in 93 or 94, not sure exactly the year. I'd be curious to know if Ninja would work backwards. I know Astroworld ran XLR-8 backwards, but I don't recall how popular it was. Most other rides, while I bet possible, would just not be much fun/safe, backwards.

^XLR-8 had a couple cars backwards at the rear of the train. The problem with the ride was mainly slow pacing. It was boring forwards, so backwards didn't change much, just a little more disorienting.

Yeah, but at that time (until January 17, 2004) Psyclone was a kick-ass ride, honestly, it was my favorite coaster in the park at the time.

Sad what it's become really.

Has anyone actually been able to sign up for this yet? My co-worker called the morning I got the email, and the recording said to leave contact information, which she did, but hasn't heard anything else since.

Throw in Gold FlashPass for the year - dunno if SFMM even has Qbot but that's neither here nor there - and I'd do it. Hell, for that I'd do 13 hrs of SFOG Ninja. Never ridden Colossus but it can't be any worse than that.

i want to, but my mom wont let me. plus i have school that day.

i guess if i could get a ride out there, she would let me.

Colossus has gotten really rough going forwards. i have never been on it backwards though so i dont really know.

i'll probably go around the second or third sunday of october.

i have compititions in band every saturday next month!

I can't imagine riding Mindbender [Galaxyland] backwards for 13 hours... in fact.. I chickened out on riding it backwards in the first place... if you want to ride it though, there is always a backwards care, 3 loops, and 5.2 G... BACKWARDS.. ah...

Anyways, Collossus looked like an awesome airtime layout, I would do it if I didn't life halfway accross the earth. The closest wooden coaster to me is Tremmors at Silverwood and it has bad reviews...

colossus' airtime = 0 seconds.

Would the gforce be less noticeable when you ride a coaster that long?..

Does your body get used to it?..

I know I once rode S:ROS 7 times one day, and after the first 2 rides I didnt really notice the air anymore..?... Unless it was my mind playing tricks on me.

I probably would if my parents would let me. But the prize, VIP tickets to Fright Fest, I wouldn't like. I hate things like that for some strange reason. Also, I have know idea how rough Colossos is, or how it goes. I've never been to Magic Mountain.
