canada
Tell us about some of your longest coaster droughts? Also indicate how much you usually would you go to parks so we can have an idea of how much a certain period means. Offseason does not count. pkdcoaster
Do you mean Droughts as in riding a new coaster or riding a coaster period? I rode TTD a few weeks after opening May 2003 and did not ride a new to me coaster till this past May 2006 (Storm runner). It sucked going 3 years without going anywhere out of state but I had other responsibilities to take care of. Since I have 2 parks so close I never go more than 4 months (offseason) without a coaster ride. JEFF
Canobie Fan
Never gone longer then the off season. Off season at its longest is last week of Oct to Mid April :-\.. Far to long to go without a coaster.
SpartanTS
The longest for me as of recently was from August 2005 (TTD) to April 2006 (Goliath at SFOG). That was a pretty long drought, but both rides were a great way to end and start a season for me.
kennywood!007
Longest besides off-season was. About 3 months . 3 long hard living hell months.

GMAN962
I'm not toatally sure....but i think mabye.........2 years without riding a coaster, and mabye.....i'd have to guess 5-6 years without riding a new one, at that time, It started with going to KBF during the construction of Xcelerator, and ended with going to Knott's earlier this summer. Angry_Gumball
My longest drout was a 3 year period of no actual coasters or waterslides. This was due to lack of funds and college. Before that, we'd visit a themepark (in the bay area) atleast once a year. Zonga (2003) - Giant Dipper (2006)
ECZenith
In 2001 I went to boot camp in SC in the spring and didn't finish my entire training until late fall. I hadn't gone on any coasters since October of 2000 and didn't get back on one until March of 2002. 2001 overall sucked.
rbpia
I usually go to Six Flags Great America about 8 times a year, Cedar Point at least once if not twice, and Worlds of Fun at least once. Every 2nd year I usually go to Orlando. Oh ya, my home park Adventureland 2 or 3 times. This year has sucked!!! I have yet to ride a coaster. My dad was diagnosed with Lou Gehrigs Disease last October and we have been taking care of him. So I haven't been able to leave the state. There is a silver lining to all of this I guess. My coaster count stands at 99 and 100 would have been the Patriot. Now I have a convention to go to in Orlando in October so number 100 will be Expedition Everest. Which is extra special because my brother works there. Ron Thanks boss for 8 days in Orlando with only 8 hours of convention time!!!
Tömmioh
Before I was an enthusiast (June 04), I usually visited one park a year and then there were of course long times when I didn't ride anything. Still now because of the looong off-season, I don't ride any coaster in 6 months, which is a bit annoying.
Rollerholden
My first whole 8 years of living were coasterless. The longest in between coasters was October '05 - July '06. It was horrible lol!
apollo210
^ Too old to go to Wonderland! WTF! ASIANS SUCK! My longest coasterdrought was from 2002 to 2005 other than that it was August 2005 (when I got into coasters) to April 2006.
CoasterCrazy
My longest drought is the off season. However, I usually take a trip to Florida every winter break to get my coaster fix since I would go crazy if I went four months without riding a coaster. niiicolaaah
Too old to go to Wonderland?? I was just there yesterday! My longest time without a coaster was 3 years - Freshman through Junior year of college.
lapseofreason
I think for me it was about 8 months (from when I last went to Geauga Lake, I think August 2001; to the first time I went to Magic Mountain in April 2002). It was hard.
Adriel
Well, only one and a half year. That was July 2003 (Space Mountain, Japan) and then December 2004 (Rock 'n' Roller Coaster).
pagemaster_b
Approximately three or so years, maybe a little more than that. I'm currently in another drought, though it should not be that long.
24
My longest is only half a year. It's always theme park trips in the Summer, Spring and Fall with three month gaps.
havenli
Since becoming a true coaster fan, my longest drought was just over a year. But college and not having a car will do that to you. Thankfully, I've remedied the latter, and I've since been to Dollywood (my home park until my recent move to NC), PKD, and PC all within a short time frame. The season is quickly coming to a close, but I'm hoping to find someone who will tag along to BGE with me. I've never been there before, but I'm dying to go! benzo41190
My longest is always the off season. Living in Wisconsin.....thats like 7-8 months sometimes but now, we are going to Florida more during the year now. So it should be shorter.
