apollo210 Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 Just like all favorite topics, you tell which log is your favorite and post a picture. Mine goes in this order 1) Canobie's Log Flume 2) Bamboo shoots at storyland 3) Poland spring plundge at SFNE 4) Le Scoot. From Canobie Fan
bgwfreak Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 Mine is no longer in existence. County Fair Falls at Dollywood. It got you the wettest of any that I've been on.
pvcoasterguy Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 Yankee Clipper, an Arrow hydroflume, located at Six Flags Great America. http://www.greatamericaparks.com/sg/rides/yankee/clipper/ It is one of the few hydroflumes that still has the insane jump at the bottom of the drop. That little jump has some airtime, and is just crazy.
jamesdillaman Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 Easy, the log flume that was at LeSourdsville Lake/Americana Amusement Park. -James Dillaman yeah, that's the stuff...
Rollerholden Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 I got to go with Splash Mountain at Disneyland.
CoasterFanatic Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 Leaving out the "Big Themer" flumes, I will go with: Waldameer (It is damn near perfect) Kennywood (Not many Arrows still have "The Dip") Knott's
thomas2 Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 Flashback at WB But the theming is rusting and is starting to fall apart
Eternal_Rider Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 The Log Flume at Knoebels is my favorite...The theming is just so great
Golfie Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 Hmmm... Paul Bunyan's Log Flume at The Mall of America It's a greatly themed log ride. Plus, it's nice and long!
live2tell75 Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 1. Splash Mountain at The Magic Kingdom 2. Dudley Do-Right's Ripsaw Falls at Islands Of Adventure 3. Timber Mountain Log Ride at Knott's Berry Farm 4. The Flume at Alton Towers 5. Log Jammer at Six Flags Magic Mountain 6. Storm Force at Drayton Manor 7. Grand Rapids at Boardwalk And Baseball 8. The Flume at Canobie Lake Park 9. Jet Stream at Six Flags Magic Mountain 10. Stanley Falls at Busch Gardens Africa
coasterchi Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 If you can count Splash Mountian as a log flume, then sure it's my number 1 loggie! If it's not: The log flume @ Tripssdril!
disneygurlz2s Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 Easy, the log flume that was at LeSourdsville Lake/Americana Amusement Park. LOL That was sooo not a Dan-friendly attraction!!!! It had a totally unacceptable level of wetness. I miss that place. In the final years it was the pit of Hell, but still fun. I would have to say that my favorite is Splash Mountain, but runner up would be the Log Flume at Kings Island BEFORE it became Wild Thornberry's. You used to get a great SPLASH at the end, that used to cause the queue line to get wet, and people to laugh and cheer at the riders. Shari
jamesdillaman Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 ^Yeah, that ride was way better before the retheme. I also liked the old kings mill log flume, where tomb raider is now, which was significantly taller, but not as wet, if i remember correctly. -James Dillaman
mike541x Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 1.Splash mountain 2.Dudley Do Rights Ripsaw Falls 3.Log flume at BGE 4.Log Flume at Knoebels
disneygurlz2s Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 ^^ Yeah, that was the Kentons Cove Keelboat Canal, and it was more about the drop (quite steep back in it's day) than the wetness. Shari
ECZenith Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 My favorites are also Splash Mountain (like both coast's versions pretty much the same) and Dudley for it's drop with "airtime" hill. if we were to exclude these, the following would be my favorites... 1) SF Magic Mountain's log flume Ride this one at night, when the line is long and the course is nearly pitch black. It's surprisingly long, and at one point you get some views of tatsu you can't see anywhere else in the park. 2) Zoom Phloom at Morey's Piers, Wildwood, NJ I'm surprised no-one else has mentioned this one. Zoom Phloom is another really long flume that features under-the-boardwalk sections and a couple of really nice drops. I pretty much love this one for it's location right on the beach.
viking86 Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 Liseberg has a very good log flume, crossing under AND over Lisebergbanan. It also has two nice drops at the end. I also liked the one at Thorpe Park, with one drop in complete darkness and a double-down at the end!
shesaidboom Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 It was Zumba Flume at PCW, but they took it out to make room for Top Gun Dudley Do Right's Ripsaw Falls was good too.
bigstevet07 Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 I'd have to go with Double Splash Flume at Dutch Wonderland. Mainly because even the little hill at the beginning would get you pretty wet. It might be Splash Mountain at WDW, except for the fact they were building it when I went at 13, and last Septmeber it was freaking closed!! Dang you maintenance crew!!
