CoasterDynamix on the show HOUSE
dmaxsba2408 replied to DLDude's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
I have seen one in person (Diamond Back at KI) and it was FAST. Too fast to even enjoy watching. While I do appreciate the work that has gone into engineering CoasterDynamix rides and realize that in scale models gravity is not your friend I don't see how your doing yourself or this product any service by being a smart ass about it. Even worse when a MOD has to put his half cent in on it. If there was ever a chance in the future that hobbit was planing on buying a CoasterDynamix product I would say that sale is lost as is mine. -
^^ yep the water park WILL BE FULLY FUNTIONAL. Have tested many prototypes before starting this park. Unless the park totally cliches out on me in the process all should work perfectly. On to the LAST of the BEST EVER PARKING LOT PICTURES update. The traffic system for the parking lots is compete and functional. What we have here is a road system that allows the games sports cars and pickup trucks to wonder around the parking lots and roads seemingly on a random journey. All roads have BOTH vehicles traveling on them at once. Valet parking is the exception, only sports cars. At one point all the games car types were being used. All but the pickup trucks and the sports cars were removed. It just didn't look right having monster trucks and london taxi's roaming around the streets. Next up will be the water park. Thanks for all your support for this project. A lot of work has gone into the park already. Many long and frustrating days/weeks are to come. Finally we have a lone car leaving the park all together. Once he makes the turn he will be on the road that exits the park. This would be a car about to enter the handicap parking area while another car is on it's way out. A dumb pickup truck driver is pulling out in front of a car while leaving the parking garage. There is also a yellow car in the picture. I have no idea where it is going. lol Here we have a car leaving the valet parking in the rear of the hotel about to go under the people bridge that brings the guests to and from the water park and hotel. A car about to enter the underground parking structure near the monorail boarding station. An orange pickup truck can also be seen driving around looking for a place to park. In this picture you can see all the games car ride track that was needed to make the road and parking lots come alive with traffic. All this is hidden underground. Not even going to try to explain how it works.

Forgive my ignorance about what the different types of wooden coaster trains are called. After visiting Dollywood last week and riding Thunderhead I have a question as to why more parks don't use the type of trains used on that coaster? The only park I had ever been to that used those trains in the past was Hershey on Lightning Racers. I thought they were the smoothest and most comfortable wooden coaster trains I had ever been on and just thought "Well it must be just good tracking". Well after riding Thunderhead I am beginning to think it wasn't the track on Lightning Racer that made the ride so nice it was the train because Thunderhead even with it's amazing air time and sudden turns was still amazingly comfortable. So if the type of train used on those 2 coasters is so comfortable why don't parks like Holiday World, Kings Island and all the others use them on their coasters. I can on imagine how much better a ride on Voyage (my #1 Woodie) or the Beast would be if they used the same trains as Thunderhead and Lightning Racer. Is there something about the 2 seat trains that make it not an option on some or all 4 or 6 seat trains used on other wooden coasters? This question would not be an issue if the 4 and 6 seat cars had not been switched over to the restraints systems they use today. The old simple bar that they used to have made them much more comfortable than they are today with current lap bar system that pins you in your seat, not giving you the freedom to move around when you hit sharp turns and airtime hills.

That was one fun coaster. Good choice of trains. Those are my favorite kind of woodie cars. -
Looking good, the parking lot looks like it could use some better lines put down. You should try using a stencil (pattern) for such things. Keeps the area looking much nicer. Are you going to have any custom rides? I have 6 packing boxes full of rides like these in my closet. Some really old and out of production like the Tea Cups. I have everything from Faller that they have ever made (rides/stalls). Bought monorails and animals also, was thinking of going the Bush Gardens route with my park. < my park> The wrong thing to say, I have never had the room to build what your are building. That's why they are all in boxes. Sometimes I don't think I will ever to the point in my life when I will be able to use them. Really sucks. Oh well somewhere down the road if I still can't do anything with them they will be great eBay items. I wish you luck with your park and look forward to seeing more.

Bob!, the park is beautiful. Excellent use of building materials all over map. Davy Crockett's Great Fall is wonderful. The little storage area with extra logs boats stacked in it was great! The only thing I can complain about are the transitions from the rolls on Mystery Tower. They are awkward, they both are going the wrong way into the turns that follow. An easy fix for future parks. The english version of the text file was icing on the cake. THANK YOU. GREAT PARK!, so very looking forward to your next release. -

^ Open the park. Click on the disc icon (where you save your game). In the list is "OPTIONS". Click on that. You should get a blue screen show up. At the bottom are two items, "Show Guests Real Names" and "Export Plug-ins". Check-mark the Plug-ins box. Save your game again and re-upload it. -

You didn't happen to forget to check-mark export plug-ins in the games options menu did you? I am unable to open the park due to missing dats. Really like the looks of the read me that came with the park. I don't speak French so I have no idea what your saying but it is a great to see you put the time in to make it. Well done! -
^ Since I had to start over back in the editor to get the elevators moved in the garage those supports are of the (once again) unbuilt monorail. Everything was back in last night, the traffic pattern done and working on the west side. I thought I had saved the game at several points. I was wrong. Had an Error Trapper and LOST EVERYTHING that was done. Over 3 hours of work gone. Not to happy at the moment Anyway, off to Dollywood for the weekend. Will try again when I get back. Thanks to everyone following this park. Your comments make the work worth while.

First I've heard of Chang leaving. Where is it going? Are they going to ride out the park like Cedar Fair did to Geauga Lake and close KK? Park was looking great, hope you change your mind about finishing it. -
I was able to get one of the two garages done. The car ride tracks will not be staying. They are guide points for the traffic patten(s) that travel through the structure. Both elevators work perfectly and can be seen going up and down inside the garage. While I was at it I put two elevators in the hotel. So what do you think?, to much pirate theme for a garage? If you look closely you can see the elevator cars sitting at the bottom of the shaft.
-
What you see in the picture is the top base of the elevator, what you don't see is where the cars pop through the base and onto the top of the structure. There is also a path the is being blocked by the top base of the elevator. Everything in the center of the garage (all things just mentioned) would have been hidden behind senery once complete. I do like your idea though, with the elevator moved to the side of the structure it can be seen moving. Sooooooooooooo I have started over AGAIN! Back to day one. I had to go into the editor to make the land available that I needed to make the adjustments. Below is a picture of where the elevator is now located. Instead of 1 there are now 2 in each garage. When finished you will not see any trace of either elevators base or entrance/exits. All you will see is the car going up and down. THESE ARE NOT COMPLETE, This picture is only here to show what it looks like before it finished.
-
Well then this must be the 2nd best parking lot picture update ever. After many restarts due to the crazy path work I have finally been able to get the first non senery items in the parking lots and hotel. The monorail is done (both tracks), all the shops and rides inside the hotel are in place. Parking garages have be placed in two of the lots with fully functional elevators that take guests to upper level of the structure so they don't have to walk all those stairs to get to their cars. Two of the traffic lanes have been installed and are being tested. I am currently having trouble getting the cars to go where I want them to go. They drive around just fine but like to take turns that they are not suppose to take and are skipping those I want them to use. You will see bits and pieces of car ride track in these pictures, they will not be there in the finished park. Anyway here's a few new parking lot pictures One of two parking garages on the map, they are far from finished, the elevator and traffic pattens are done but much senery is left to do. Pirate Bay hotel went through a minor expansion to add Valet Parking, this part of the hotel traffic patten is working perfectly. Monorail crossing the street that takes cars to the lot farthest from the hotel, there is an underground parking structure in this lot. The monorail heading out of the last turn over the entry/exit road, next stop the hotel lobby.

Tried to open yor park, missing dats. Did you remember to check mark "export plugins" before saving your game? If not, go back to the disc icon in the game (under options at the bottom) and put a check in the box, save it again and re-upload it. -

That is the best use of a side friction track I think I have ever seen and the building over the carousel is phenomenal. The whole place is just amazing. Hope you can keep the feel of it when the coasters are installed.
