  1. I remember seeing some TV special about that Panda reserve. They had an earthquake a while back and the place was torn apart and it killed a few of the animals. Was the palace still a mess in places or was it all put back together? 150 bucks to hold a panda?, I had no idea that for any amount of money you could actually touch a panda let alone hold one. What a unique experience that was for you guys. Great trip add on Rob, you really know how to keep these trips interesting.
  2. ^ you are very welcome, always happy to try and help. If you want to, edit your last post and put up a few pictures of what you did in the park or a download or it. Be nice to see what you did with that park. It is a hard scenario and can turn out looking very interesting.
  3. I like the loop and the roll coming off the lift. I think you should try smoothing the entry to both. You used the large incline heading up to the loop try getting that same incline leveling off for the loop and put one on before the roll after the lift. It's going to affect the entire rides heights but it shouldn't take long to make the adjustments. A 2 track piece tunnel at the bottom of the loop (where the down meets the up) would be a nice touch also. Just my opinion.
  4. If you are looking to make a more realistic Deja Vu clone you just need to follow this tutorial. It will take you step by step. LINK: http://rcttutorials.bizhat.com/hack5.htm To remove supports dig a hole one notch down under the support you want to remove. Put in a path piece (one that usually kills supports like the black gravel). Get the 8cars working, zero clearances and raise the land back up. Restore clearances and the support should be gone. The other option would be to use a "support blocker". To use one of these at this point in your park you will need to do one of two things. Either, start over and add it in to your senery selections. This option would be the best if you DON'T have that many rides in your park yet. Just save the game and put it back in the editor and then when you are done adding what you want save it again as a scenario and rebuild your rides. Or, go up to the RCT2 help thread at the top of this forum and go to page 9 and download the ParkDAT and ParkPreviewer utilities. (EDIT:the file has been updated since this post was made. They will allow you to edit your parks DAT files without starting over. With this option there are risks involved. You can destroy your park if your not careful as to what you add and remove. There is a link in that post that takes you to a site that explains how to use them both. Be sure to read it if you decide to go this route with your park. 3 different blockers are in the ZIP below. 2 are from the same person and have the same title but the dat's are different. I have no idea what the difference between them are. support blockers.zip Support Blockers Zip. The finished but uncolored Deja Vu clone from the tutorial site.
  5. This is probably a stupid question but I don't know much about the way RCT3 works. Only been able to play if for a few hours before my computer gives up. Do the crossing gates really work in RCT3, keeping the peeps off the tracks and lighting up like real ones?
  6. Don't take it to personally, there have just been a LOT of really bad english/grammar around here lately and some really bad posts. Just slow down your typing and type the way a civilized person would speak. Oh and by the way CAPATALIZATION and spelling is a big thing around here so watch out with the "i'm" kind of thing. Have to agree with your first post though, RCT3 is so much better than RCT1 or 2. But since my computer can't handle number 3 and has no hope of ever handling a number 4 I'll just keep playing the good old RCT2.
  7. There is no way to hack the number or length of trains in RCT2, no one has ever came out with a patch to allow the that function to work on either 8cars or SOB trainers. Wish someone with knowledge of that kind of thing would though. There is also no way to change the number or size of trains on any ride without closing it and the game must remain unpaused when the change is made. So let the mosh pit begin, the little fellas will get over it soon enough. You could also just let it go with one train, once the ride become older the line will drop and the problem will fix it's self.
  8. Looks like a great start to another fun trip. 250+mph, wow. Wonder how long it will be before we get to experience that kind of speed on a coaster and of course a 250mph bug to the face could be interesting.
  9. ^ In that scenario you must first purchase the rights to build over and under the streets that go between the houses to reach the land that is available to buy. To build on ''Construction Rights" land you must be at least 2 clicks below or above the ground. Remember if you chose to go above the ground that trees or other objects may be in your way and since you DO NOT own the land you can not remove them. I suggest you keep the paths under ground and use transport rides like Chair-Lifts above the ground. Also remember that if you do use transport rides to connect the areas you still need paths. The peeps are dumb in RCT2 and even dumber in RCT. They do not know how to use a transport ride for what it is suppose to be. To them it is just a "ride" and will get stuck in area if there is no path to walk out of it on.
  10. Yep, the new color on the fences looks much better. THANK YOU for the PM Preview even though I didn't answer first. This has to be the best looking park (from what I've seen of it anyway) you have made. It's amazing how fast your skills at building in this game have improved. Keep up the great work.
  11. ^^, Send it to me and let me have a whack at removing MR. STRUCTURE from the park. eMail: deltzroth@woh.rr.com ^ & ^^, Yes, use the ParkDat utility. Zip is below. EDIT:there has been a problem reported with the ParkDat download. Please re-download to fix the errors if your copy is causing an error when you try to use it. To help you find what you want to use in the ParkDat use the DatPreveiw utility. Zip is below. Finally, in a forum somewhere (I can't find the site or I would give a link to it) I found this VERY IMPORTANT picture. It shows what all the numbers mean for the ParkDat utility. I suggest you copy and SAVE IT! If you don't you may destroy any park you are working on. EDIT:found the forum topic on using the PARKDAT & DAT Previewer link: http://forums.rctspace.com/index.php?showtopic=25813 A few weeks ago I ask anyone the question above, well I answered it myself tonight. The answer is YES. The walls were made by a RCT SPACE member who goes by the name of mintliqueur. I contacted him about the walls and he didn't know what happened to them. Well to make a long story short. I HAD THEM ALL ALONG! They were being stored in my "RCT trial" folder along with about 13,000 other dat files that I haven't gotten around to checking out yet. They are DATs MWALL1 through MWALL6 and they have a senery tab. Pitures of them are below. Thanks to anyone who might have been trying to find them for me. Be happy to share them with anyone who wants them, just PM me about it. Found this information for you about sinking entrance and exits. There are two links at the bottom of the page that talk about getting peeps on the rides that have the entrance and exit hidden. http://rcttutorials.bizhat.com/hack6.htm Now to the question I have for everyone. I am wondering if anyone has ever found a Scenery Tab for AE's Pirates of the Caribbean items. I have been trying to make one for over a week now using the DatMaker utility and am having NO LUCK figuring it out. If someone know of one already done please link me to it or if you know how to use the DatMaker could you please make the Tab for me. Thanks in advance, DMAXSBA MWALL1-6 ParkDat Numbers to play by. RCT2DatPreview.zip DATPreveiw parkdat16_135.zip ParkDat...This is an updated file, some people have be getting errors tying to use ParkDAT. These "new" dll's and settings file should take care of the problem.
  12. ^ Nope, that is your computer being a jerk. I would move everything to your second hard drive if you have one (or put what matters to you on discs if you don't) and re-boot the evil machine back to the day you brought it home. Had the same problem with my mothers Magic Jack. It worked great for a while then the computer decided it didn't like it anymore and refused to recognize it was even hooked up. Took it home an put it on my computer and it worked just fine. Did a re-boot on her computer a few days later and all was fixed and have had no problems since. Don't know how long you have been having this problem but I would take care of it before it happens to any other programs.
  13. ^ What kind of a weird installation issue are you having? A while back I had a problem getting the 2nd disk of SimCity4 to auto start and complete the installation of the game. I had to unpack the entire game from the disk and save it on my computer then manually install the whole thing. Is it that kind of issue? Believe it or not I am still playing around in the park. Don't think I will put a new park out for download at this time. Not enough has changed (yet). But I think I will continue to give an update every now and then and post pictures of some of the changes. This morning I added other new ride to the park. It is called Ammit after the Egyptian god of destruction. The ride is the Council Frisbee from one of the LOTR parks. Hope the park is not causing anyone any problems. If for some reason you want an updated version of the park just send me a PM about it and I will send it. Thanks again for your interest in my park. The before and after pictures.
  14. ^ yep just searched for it. The "DUMP' Thread ended up being a preview thread before it died. I do like the idea of it though. Maybe that topic should be brought back from the TPR depths and see if it will be used this-time-around as what it's name implies instead of another version of the "Preview" thread.
  15. Sorry nin it was the only way to get the style rides I was after for the park. It wouldn't have looked right using a Pick-Up Truck (car ride) in the Martian area of the park, needed the Hover Cars from TT and wanted the Hippo Submarine Ride from WW to travel around the Jungle the area instead of the regular Submarine Ride. Used lots of TT/WW rides and scenery all over the park. You can probably pick up both expansion pack for less than 10 bucks.
  16. Have looked at your pictures and read your post several times. Never noticed the building in the Enchanted Valley area that is the "SHOE", until just a second ago. I must be blind! Great looking park.
  17. Well here it is. The word has come back that all is good when it comes to getting the park to open. FYI - this park has both WW and TT items in it, if you don't have both expansion packs it will not open. It also has 17 custom rides which are available in the second download if you happen to be missing a DAT. While the park was off being tested I kept playing around in it and managed to get 4 more NEW rides put in the park, replaced and entire coaster and moved 2 other rides to new locations along with continued senery improvements. The download here at TPR is Thunder Lakes CLOSED. Even zipped the park with just over 7000 guests in it was almost 6MB. The limit for the site is 5MB. So I took the suggestion from mcjaco and Stokey to make the big download available off site. If you want to see the park OPEN with 7000+ guests in it you need to head over to RapidShare and pick it up. It doesn't cost anything and you don't have to sign up for anything either. Just click and go. *UPDATED PARK DOWNLOAD AVAILABLE* http://rapidshare.com/files/357314894/Thunder_Lakes__UPDATED_.zip This park really is a lot more fun to look at and play around with when it is full of guests. So if you choose to download the closed park, open it up and let the little guys back in. The park has nothing done to it that will crash your game if you hit "open all". Thanks for making it fun to post this park at TPR. Enjoy. Thunder Lakes (rides).zip Thunder Lakes (RIDES) Thunder Lakes (closed).zip Thunder Lakes (CLOSED) Finished Park
  18. That was GREAT, Fun even before the lift. Why don't they build rides like this?, it was amazing!
  19. I try to use color on my roofs and it looks like crap, you do it and it looks amazing. Great Park, everything looks perfect!
  20. Yep with the last clue that's what I would have guessed.
  21. Is that going to be some kind of a launch tunnel? Looks great! Still can't figure out what city that is in the picture.
  22. The signs in the front of the parking lot look great. The best use of letters I have seen yet. Looking forward to seeing the rides that go along with them. Also agree about the pool. The checkers look great in a pool but out, not so much. an a-side...your pictures are too big, 800/600 is max and the ones on the first page are nothing but X's. Please fix that, I missed what was there.
  23. ^ Yep, have it. Never use it though, take that back, hardly ever use it. I have found it to be a sad excuse for a trainer unlike its father which is an amazing trainer. Much like the two coasters at Kings Island. Its funny how similar the SOB and SOB trainer are compared to the good old Beasts. I have seen park where the entrance and exits are not on the rides but below ground instead. I have never see a park with peeps in it riding any thing. Even opened one once and no one got on any of the rides. The park Error Trapper-ed me when I tried to investigate. Never bothered to go back for a second try.
  24. ^ Wish I could help you with but I know nothing about what your trying to do. Anyone know if a wall set has ever been made that matches the walls on the traditional park entrance and ride entrance/exit? If so can you point me in the direction that it is located or send me the files, either way would be GREAT!
  25. That is the most amazing use of in-game senery I have ever seen. You have the most imaginative mind when it comes to finding new ways to use basic items. Great Park, so looking forward to seeing more.
