  1. ^ your right, sorry. I shouldn't have wrote that in such a "jerk" manner. Just in an aggravated mood today. *dmaxsba crawls back to his corner and growls...
  2. I agree, its not easy and for the most part NOT NESSECERY! I will never understand what is SOOOO great about everything being hacked. You can make great "unique" coasters without hacking anything. Sorry to get off topic but this everything needs to be hacked to be good is really getting on my nerves. astro, your coaster is fine, there is no need to hack in any inversions.
  3. Didn't care for the first half of the ride but after the mid-course brakes I thought it was great. After the drop (witch was great) the turn coming back was odd and the slow speed on the high banked curve back under the lift killed the fun. Kinda of jerky in a lot of places though. Regardless, it is 100% better than anything I could make. Thank you for the ride.
  4. I thought that was just an amazing ride. Kinda dizzying in the back seat. The only part I didn't like was the two hops before the last two inversions. Don't know what I would have done differently but they seemed out of place.
  5. You can only convert coasters and saved game landscapes from RCT1, not finished parks. If there is a landscape you like from RCT1 and want to play RCT2 with it go to the Scenario Editor and hit Load Landscape. Navigate yourself to Hasbro Interactive and find RCT. Go to Saved Games and find the one you want. It will appear with NO RIDES. From there you can remake the park. The paths and most of the senery will already be done. If you want to bring the tracked rides to the landscape you just imported you need to go into RCT1 and save each one you want. Go into the Track Manager of RCT2 and import them into the game. Then you can build an exact copy of the ride. Some rides do not convert very well. Mini Steel Coasters in RCT1 have track sections that are not available in RCT2's Junior Steel Coaster. The track will not load if any of the "now" unavailable track is on the imported ride.
  6. Fun ride, never had the chance to visit a park with a coaster like this yet and I am so looking forward or backward to it. Do they really spin as much as they do in a sim? Seen video of real ones and it doesn't seem like it.
  7. That was a fun coaster, really liked the double down with the bunny hop after it. Some of what seemed like high speed turns looked a bit under banked. I don't pay any attention to G's or speeds in NL so I have no idea what they were. It just looked under banked probably was fine.
  8. Like the drop into the volcano, did the same thing in my park. The ride seems a bit over sized if that makes any since. I would scale it back in height. Maybe it's just the angles I am seeing it from in the pictures. Either way some times a shorter slower coaster is a better coaster. Just my opinion though.
  9. ^ sent you PM with my email send it over and let me take a look at it. Tell me which station your having a problem with in the park when you send it.
  10. The ride looks like it would be a great fun. To bad my pale skin can't handle the sun Have a hard enough time trying to keep enough sunblock (spf48) on for regular rides at theme parks, I'd be a lobster if I went to a water park. I need a 24hr park so I can come at night and enjoy myself on water rides. What kind of sim program do they make these videos with they look amazing.
  11. Just wanted to let everyone who's waiting for the park what's going on. I have been very busy working in the park. TWELVE new coasters/rides have gone in the place of shops/stalls that were not turning a profit. Many old rides have been moved around the park and tons of new senery and landscaping has been done all over the place. The park is DONE, however I have sent it off the be checked by another park maker on this site. I am not shur it will open. I tried sending it back to the scenario editor to see where I am at when it came to ride/stall and senery counts and it Error Trapped me. It just refuses to open in the editor so I am worried a download of the park may not work. When I get the word that all is fine it will be posted. If there is a problem I will try to fix it and if that doesn't work I will be posting all the changes for you to see. *dmaxsba crosses fingers that all is good with the park. Anyway I thought I would share with you the LAST RIDE to hit the park and some of the awards the park has received over the years. Yes it is true, at one point or another I did get every one of these even the bad ones. Those issues were of course fixed immediately. ...enjoy and thank you for your patience. Now there are 2 new Roman Baths. In order to do this the Colosseum and its contents had to be moved the river rerouted 2 new bridges and a move of an old one. The exit to the coaster Cronos was changed and in the Egyptian area the coaster Pharaoh's Whip was moved to left about 10 squares and all the theming with it. This is an example of what had to take place to get the new attraction into the park. It was repeated with all 12 of the new rides. This is what has been taking so long. In the Roman area of the park was this big fountain and a long winding path connecting to the Egyptian area. ...the award list (not in order that they were received).
  12. ^ Had the same problem in my Thunder Lakes park several times after zeroing out clearances. After restarting the park several times in an effort to fix the problem it was solved simply by keeping the paths away form the edges of the park and remaking the parks boarder so it weaved in and out (as in not a square). The problem went away almost completely. On rare occasions after using zero clearances, (this has only happened lately) I have had small instances of it again. Noticed my park rating drop below 999 and not go right back up. Found a small group of lost peeps wanting to leave the park in the middle of the Pirate themed area of the park. I took them to an exit and let them go those who did not leave met their fate in a watery death. Later after zeroing clearances several more times I found some in the Western theme area of the park. Now after I zero clearance several times I do a fly by of the 2 new problem spots and look for those who are tired and or angry and wondering back and forth wanting to leave before it gets out of hand. Zeroing clearances must mess up some of the peeps direction programs.
  13. ^^^ I have downloaded so many parks with that peep problem. Have tried to fix it many times. Failed 90% of the time. You can try reversing land ownership and separating the path into the park from the surrounding paths. When you do this land invert the peeps should start to leave in a mass but of course no new peeps will come in. After the peeps are gone reverse if back. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. You can also try (some work involved) saving your custom rides and putting your park back into the scenario editor to fix the problem and work on what other issues (space, ride selection, senery) your having. When your done restart the park and place your rides. Might want to post a reply in the RCT2 HELP thread about the problem, someone who may not read this thread my see it there and tell you exactly how to fix it. The park looks great. You should start a thread about it and show it off.
  14. Love to help you with the colors, but since I suck at picking colors I should probably pass. I think the color of the coaster is fine but I think the color of the buildings could be mixed up a bit. Looking like your best work yet. That is one cool looking place in the picture, Arab-ish I suppose.
  15. Well here it is. The final area of the park to be seen before the download. This is the Jungle area of the park. It has seven rides and 3 of them are coasters. Been working very hard in the park trying to get things done for the coming download. I have hit the game limit for ride/attractions and am in the process of shifting things around all over the park. Should have it ready to go very soon. I know videos won the poll but I think with the download a few days away I am going to skip them this time. Hope you like what you see. Tacker Safari was the ride that was about to be build back when I first started this thread about my park. It took a lot of land movement and the re-tracking of Hippo Adventure to get it in but it turned out GREAT. I am so happy with it. The trucks travel in and out of tunnels, over the water many times and roll past all kinds of animals. There are no lions stalking zebras, no crocodiles about to eat a wildebeest. All the animals are separated the way they should be to keep them safe just like you would see in any wildlife park. I knew what kind of coaster I wanted to use in this area long before I ever got here. I have no idea why I didn't build Vulture first. It would have been much easier to build everything around it instead of trying for weeks to make it fit the space that was left. Well anyway I got it. Even got in the must have pretzel loop and barrel roll. Most of the ride is spent just flying around something I wish the real ones would do instead of just up, down, loop, twist and done. Ahhh, the Jungle Show. Hummmmm, what can I say it's the games circus ride. I put inside a building and tried to theme it in such a way that it was kind of like a zoo setting. There are elephants in the front of the building and inside if you look closely there is a tall glass area with a giraffe inside. Right behind Piranha Attacks station house there was this little strip of land just like I had in the Egyptian area. Since I used the Inverted Twister there, the Heart-line Twister was in stalled here. It's not quite the standard layout. After the lift and drop the car hits the 2nd transfer and drops into a tunnel, bunny hops out right into the roll. Themed it with crocodiles and named it after the death roll they do to kill and tear apart animals. This is where the lost bumper boats vanished to. When I started this area I had every intention of using the Jet Skis but then everything changed as the swans went to the castle kicking the bumper boats out and the jet skis went to where the swans were... anyway all this moving water rides around turned out great, especially this ride. If there were a real bumper boat ride like Piranha Attack it would be so much fun. Across the water and around the corner the 2nd ride of the area was Hippo Adventure. There are not to many rides that came out with RCT2 that I cared for but this one I thought was pretty cool. The ride travels all over the area. The station house has an under water glass viewing area for those in line. I love this coaster, Monkey See - Monkey Do was the first ride to hit the area. Don't know why there is no real coaster like this. It's an interesting twist on the standard Face-Off type coaster. Took me a long time to get the intensity rating down below 10, ended up using a trim brake at the bottom of the drop. It's not much of jolt, it only lowers the speed by about 2mph. Anyone know if there is a way to put a chain on the 2nd hill like the real rides of this type have? I tried everything I could think of to get one on the hill. Something to look for in the download will be all the monkeys swinging in the trees around this ride. Park Map - Labled
  16. Wow double tracked through the loop, that looks amazing.
  17. That drop out of the build looks fun. Just wondering on Jackalopp, where dose the vertical drop disappear to? Was trying to follow the coasters course but lose it after that drop. If you are wanting to keep it a secret for when the park is released that is totally understandable. The park still looks great.
  18. I agree again, it does look great and I think the blending in of the color looks fine to me. Wouldn't change a thing.
  19. Just wondering how long you have been playing the game, I don't really mean just playing around in one but trying to make "nice" parks? Your park looks like one of mine from many years ago right before RCT2 came out. I was just starting to really put some thought in to my parks and trying to stop the just thrown together look. Trying to make custom rides and trying to theme things around the park. At this time the park still has that thrown together look but I can see that you are trying to bring order to it. Look forward to the download so I can really get into it and pick out what's great and what needs help. I can tell already that some of you buildings are quite unique and look nice. Others no so much. Here's a little thing on one of your coasters. The flying coaster has a banked curve at the top of the lift and hits the roll over to flying with no speed. Try to rework it. Even rides that come with the game usually need a little help.
  20. What is a ball coaster? Is it one of those coasters with a single car that rotates freely as the car moves back an forth down the track? The dragon looks great, will look even better when the ride goes through it. Thank you for the information about building a hacked dive coaster with block brakes that won't crash my game in your Sea World thread.
  21. I know you said it needs some attention but wow that hill on Flight Deck seems way to big for the loop at the bottom. I really don't know anything about this park, never been there before. Isn't Ceder Fair closing it?
  22. Maybe this is the problem, when you create a scenario are you removing ALL senery objects out of a non-removable senery group? Example: you don't like any of the games gardens and remove every single piece of senery out of that group. Now you have a senery tab that by the games design you can not remove and it is completely empty. This will usually cause the ERROR TRAPPER in the scenario mode either upon exiting or trying to re-enter. It will definitely cause it when you try to open the scenario in game mode. You must have at least 1 item in each of the 6 permanent senery tabs. Those tabs are fences/walls, gardens, shrubs/ornaments, signs/items for footpaths, trees and walls/roofs. If you feel like you need to get rid of all the gardens (from the example above) then you have to at least keep the clock. Hope this fixes your problem. As for all the custom senery that comes with parks. As you have probably seen, some of it is GREAT and most of it GRAP. I strongly suggest you get yourself a backup copy of your OBJECT DATA folder and keep it somewhere safe, so when you download a park you can reset it back to what you had before. This is the process I went through to get to the current state of in-game stuff and custom stuff merged together. 1. save current object data, scenarios and saved games folders to a safe place 2. uninstall RCT2 and re-install RCT2 3. make a back up of just the in game RCT2 object data folder 4. open the folder and hit select all, an object count should be seen on the left, write that number down. 5. return to the first object data folder you saved before the uninstall (the one with all the custom stuff). 6. hit select all on it also and see your item count, then hit COPY. 7. take that copy and scroll down to the very bottom of the backup folder of the in game object data and hit PASTE. 8. all the "new" custom stuff will start pasting below the in-game stuff and you will be asked if you wish to replace any item that is already there, make shur you hit NO (your going to hit no several thousand times). If you hit yes it will not keep the new and old stuff separate. 9. all the new things should now be below the in-game items, find the beginning of the new stuff and copy just the new items to another folder. Check the count of whats left in the folder, it should be the same as the number you wrote down, if not start over something went wrong. 10. if everything that you started with in the in-game folder was correct you can now delete that backup folder and the old folder with all the extra stuff in it you stated this whole process with. 11. make yourself 3 folders. KEEP, TRASH, and UNKNOWEN 12. open doctor j's object editor and find where you put the new folder with all the custom objects in it that you separated out and start going through it one at a time, this part takes some patience but is worth it in the end. 13. as you go through all the stuff sort it into the 3 folders. 14. go back and make another back up of the games object data folder. You should have 2 exact copies of this folder. Store one in the game of course and put the other in Infrograms folder (the folder the game itself is stored in. 15. as you go through all the custom stuff, trash the crap. Keep the great and hold onto the unknown for further investigation. At the end of each days sorting put the keepers in BOTH the real object data folder and the new backup copy you made. Don't forget to take out the trash. The unknown should be loaded one at a time a searched for in the scenario editor to see if it is worth keeping or not. This process takes a lot of time at first but as you download new parks and get other new items they become less and less for you to sort though. Just reset your in-game object data folder and your game is back to where you had it prior to the all the new stuff. Count your objects again and start sorting.[/b]
  23. The new Steel Mouse has opened in the park. Over a hundred game years ago I thought I was done with this area. I was wrong. The castle has had a major re-work and the Castle Haunt ride that runs through is has been updated. The castle courtyard witch housed a bathroom and hidden exit is gone and the new coasters stations are in it's place (exit is still accessible). Re-theming of the area is not quite done but will be before the parks release. In other news the last area of the park which I finished a few weeks ago has been updated again. A car ride now goes through the Jurassic area traveling past all major rides and senery. The poll results are in and keeping the videos has one but not by much. So here's what's going to happen. I will keep making them but will cut back on the quantity and length. Hope that is a happy medium for everyone who takes the time to visit this and any future projects. Thank you to all who took the time to vote. Now the after. I really like this little coaster. Great air and quick turns in and out of the castle with it ending over the waters of the moat. Here is the before pictures of the area. In these pictures you can really see just how bad the castle looked before and how boring the back area was.
