  1. Thank you everyone, this park is proving to be a huge challenge but with the motivation of your comments it is well worth the effort. The next slides with be a set of three body slides based on the picture below from Soak City in Laguna. The slides pictured are just for inspiration. Of course I can not make the slopes real slides have. In the picture you can see that these slides are of the solid tube variation and use inflatable rafts. While I can do the rafts I decided to make my version a body slide and not be completely enclosed in tubes. The slides are about 75% done. I should have an update in a few days.
  2. Mine also. Good luck with your time frame. Hope you can make it happen.
  3. Thank You! Sorry you had to go through all this trouble.
  4. An explanation of the stairs is below. The lines are long but there are four different ones. Made a 60 sec. video of the finished product. This I think will be the only video of any finished ride I am going to do with this park. Just have to wait to see it in person. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7CJn_snmvNw Why is everything I put on You Tube so blurry?
  5. Today is the unveiling of Pirate Bays first slides. They are a set of 4 totally independent operating speed slides collectively called the WATERJAMMERS. Two of the slides are nearly vertical drops, Waterjammer Wedgie at 85ft tall and the Waterjammer Super Wedgie coming in at 105ft tall. The other two are the Waterjammer Double Dip with a starting height of 90ft and the shortest slide of the four, the 75ft Waterjammer Triple Dip. Each has a guest capacity of approximately 7.5 riders per minute/450 riders per hour. That is based on an 8 second delay, enough time for the guest to complete the ride and exit before the next guest leaves the platform. I am not really satisfied with the stairs for the rides. It all just seems a bit over done to me. Any sugguestions as to how I might improve that area in particular would greatly be appreciated along with any other thoughts you might have about slides or landing area. Thanks. A picture of the stairs for the slides with the senery removed. Same two slides With this angle you can see the other two slides, the 90ft Double Dip and the 105ft Super Wedgie. Same two slides. The two slides in the foreground are the 75ft Triple Dip and the 85ft Wedgie.
  6. Your drawings are simply amazing!
  7. lol, yep I put tape on my monitor. It is a very low adhesive tape. Get me a piece about half inch long pinch the end so I have a tab to hold onto and put it on the monitor. Make my video and pull it off. I have RCT3 Platinum but can't play it. I need to upgrade or replace my computer. The game gets really slow very quickly. Running the Hypercam I even have problems. If I make the record window to big the video gets jumpy. Hope the program works out for you.
  8. You can use hypercam to do the video. Its free but has the company logo in the corner until you buy it. http://www.hyperionics.com/hc/ Very easy to use. Not sure how the windows work in RCT3 but in RCT2 I pop the ride I want to video, click on a train/car and make it the size I want. Using clear tape, the kind you wrap a present with. Make four tabs and put one on each corner of the window. Put a mark on each tab at the exact spot the corners of your window are using a marker. Open hypercam and hit "select region". Make the hypercam record window match the one you made with tape. Go to your game make sure your window is in the right place, start your ride and hit F2. The recorder will start. When done hit F2 again an it will stop. I just put my last video on You Tube and haven't had any complaints yet that people are having trouble seeing it. So I think I would go that route for posting it.
  9. I agree with ^ a video would be GREAT! I don't like the darker idea, way to many RCT3 rides are dark. Just my opinion though.
  10. ^ Park looks great Stoksy. I saw some freshly mowed grass Hope that new picture of the loop was taken while you had 0 Clearances on, hate to see your park get corrupted. Good choice on the tired dmaxsba, fit perfectly, I am always tired! Why did you change the supports on the loop? They looked better before. Unless the new ones are not done yet or the old picture is really a new picture and this new picture is an old picture. lol now I'm confused. What to theme a large wooden coaster with a loop? Good question! If your going to stick with name Helios (Greek that is) then your going to need to head in a Greek direction with it's theming. Large stone structure, lots of water and maybe some fire. If you change the name and go with a back woods mountain theme it would also go really well with a coaster of that type. Something like SHINE RUNNER referring to the days in the US when Moonshine was made in the Appalachian Mountains and they would have people with really fast cars running the liquor to customers trying to not get caught by the police.
  11. I use Windows Media Player to view it. That is my standard player. I can also use Real Player and Quicktime. Everything I've tried plays it. Even DivX works. I used a program called HyperCam2 to make the video. It is the only program I know of that makes videos from games on a PC. Yes it uses AVI format. That is it's only option. When I go into any of the media players I have and go to any of their options tabs AVI is one of many formats that can be selected as play back. When I move my mouse over it here at TPR Real Player even offers to allow me to download it and save it to my computer. If anyone knows of another PC video recorder that available I could give that a try in the future. I put it up on You Tube. I hope this works. Sorry for the problems. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ervpmvkB_mk
  12. ^ There is a lot of custom scenery and a few rides. All will be provided along with the park. As always before you open any one's park you should make a backup of your "object data" folder and keep it somewhere safe so you can exchange it back after viewing the park. If you decide to keep the scenery that came with a park make sure you try to open any saved games/scenarios/landscapes you have to see if any of the new custom scenery has corrupted any older files. If so you will need to put your old object data folder back in the game and sort thought the downloaded folder using one of the many dat checkers that available. Go through the folder and pull out what you want to keep. Long process but well worth the time for problem free playing of RCT2. update: The area the 4 slides sit in is just about done. The stairs are taking a bit of time. Can't seem to get the look I want. Everything always seem so closed in. I thought when I started this project the stairs to the top of the slides would cause me issues and it has turned out just that way. Unfortunately the only way to get a good rate of riders is to bring each line all the way down to the ground. So I am stuck with 4 paths winding their way up to stations at 75ft, 85ft, 90ft and 105ft. It is a very crowded with paths in a VERY small space. Sorry to all of you that cannot see the video of the slides. I always assumed that if I can watch video made for MAC's on my PC that a person with a MAC could watch video made from a PC.
  13. Like the LARGE loop on the woodie as if your couldn't tell my avatar. Man I miss that loop. When is another park going to have guts to try the loop again? The building around the bumper cars looks nice but I think you used to many clocks. I think it would look a bit more real if the clocks only faced out. Each tower has 2 that face the other towers. They serve no purpose. We view the park from fly view but at ground level you would not be able to see them properly. They should be blank walls. You might want to get someone on that grass around the water and everywhere else, its a bit over grown. *camped outside the park waiting to be the first on Helios!
  14. Wow, missed a lot of new stuff. ^^^^ What kind of ride is BUNKER, the coaster behind it or is something in the box? ^^^ Love the turn into the tunnel. More real coaster should do that! ^ Just curious, are using the standard vertical coaster cars on !CrAzy!.
  15. All your missing is a short (24sec) video of 4 speed slides grouped together like what you would find a most water parks. If you really want to see it I can send it to you. I would post a picture of it but since the video was taken the slides have changed. One was replaced altogether and I don't want to ruin the next update by showing the changes. Once I get the slides themed I will post a few pictures. Thanks for the comments ^ - ^^^ ^^ As for how I did this and the traffic I will tell you there has been NO MERGING of any tracks at this point. There are of course things that are invisible. Once the park is done and released I think for the most part anyone will be able to copy what I have done and make their parking lots work and build a water park. I will answer any questions and help anyone who wants to make their own versions of what I have done here.
  16. damx is the name of the factory I work at. I build the Duramax diesel engine that goes into GM heavy duty trucks. sba is the line I work on in the factory, Shot Block "A". I am at the very beginning of the line where the raw block comes from the machine floor and is put on the line for the rest of the factory. I install the oil jets for the pistons, the crank barrings, the crank, crank caps, cam shaft and timing gear, block heater, cam plate and the bar code sticker that tells everyone else what kind of engine they need to build. We have 4 different versions. 2408 in my clock number.
  17. No, but would like to know what inspired the question. Is it possible to cut a round object diagonally?
  18. Got next to a mother texting at 50mph while her what looked to be 4 or 5 year old was standing in the passenger seat looking out the side window. Has to be mother of the year!
  19. ^ do now Going to love to see how you fit a murdering barber with a trap door chair into a ride. Going to make his girlfriend the meat pie lady in on the attraction also?
  20. That is one of the most interesting carousels I have seen in a while. I think I like the tracking of the arrow coaster you have in the park. Kinda far off to tell, but looks great from JET view.
  21. Stupid (< that would be me) question, what a Sweeny Todd?
  22. worthy screen, I have never seen anything else but worthy screens in your posts. Looks great, is the pacing of both coaster working out with great meets and racing?
  23. This a small update to show that working full capacity slides are possible in RCT2. Here are 4 different speed slides working independently of each other. No lifts are present, just the stairs for the guests to get to the top. They are not complete, much work is left to be done. Slides.avi
  24. Never said you "didn't care" nor said "Diamond Back wasn't intriguing" nor did I say YOU personally were an "ass" Saying someone is coming off like an ass it totally different than saying, YOUR AN ASS. As someone who has spent many hundreds of dollars over the years on model rides I don't see how I am NOT an potential customer. Right now I am looking at the Walthers mail order monthly sale catalog with your Comet Coaster in it. On sale for 139.98. Marked down from 169.99. It is the reason I even came into this topic. The name CoasterDynamix was mentioned in the ad and on this topic, it got my attention. So who are you assume who may or may not be a potential customer. You are right the speed of your models is not a service issue if you mean it is something you can't do anything about. It is however a perception of my product service issue if someone brings is up and you don't explain why it is the way it is. Even if you have done it 1000 times. A simple text document saved on your computer to copy and paste whenever someone mentions speed would solve the entire problem. I am done with this, good luck to you and your products.
  25. MAIN SOURCE OF INCOME, that is the whole point behind my post and you and him and everyone else seemed to miss it. If making money on these coasters is his main source of income one would think the annoyance of having to explain why things like gravity on models appear the the way they do would be a small inconvenience. Everyone who reads this thread or any other thread that features his product is a potential customer. Being an ass as I took it or humorous as he claims toward someones comment about the product is not helping any future sales. HALF CENT, your half cent while may not have be directed anyone in particular still has impact on what I wrote above, so if you want him to make as much money on what he does for his "main source of income" and are behind his product as firmly as you seem to be you should have stepped up to explain the speed issue instead of just a "some people just don't get it" comment. I for one am quite aware of the speed on models, been building model rides for over 20 years. I have a closet full of them in boxes and built, including 2 coasters. 99% are from the German company Faller. The Diamond Back model was hard to watch. It was a great model coaster but once again just like on mine it moves so fast it is very hard to follow and with it's size (length that is) was difficult to follow and by that I mean keeping your eyes on the train as it went flying around the track. My original post was entirely aimed at POTENTAL customer service as is this one. The speed of the coasters is always going to be a customer service issue. If a person, in this case Jack doesn't want to deal with a constant problem and deal with it positively every single time it comes up I suggest finding a new "main source of income". You see, I was one of those POTENTAL customers who was reading this post and your right mcjaco I don't know the history of this speed issue in other posts and it is irrelevant. This is the topic I saw about his product and this is where I came for information about it. Instead I found the one guy who should be trying to make a sale being "humorous" as he put it.
