This one I don't see how it could have not have won. It is a great layout works well with it's surroundings and the scenery is wonderful (light house not included). Comparing this coaster and scenery with those who have won recently I just don't understand how it lost out. -
Meant to comment on the refinished impulse coaster *cough, then I got distracted by something. That is one BIG retro fit you did on that! As I am one of the many thousands who have RCT3 but can't play it I am just wondering how much of that ride is custom content?, what would it look like just with plain old RCT3?

Most are 12volt, you will need a power converter for these. They are perfect for this kind of thing they use a lot less power than standard lights. I have lots of other items like extra motors, magnets, decals/stickers, and random junk. Honestly about the only thing I can think of that you can't have is the Tea Cup Ride (#326). I just don't think I can part with it. Sorry. I don't know whats so special about it but I just remember years ago building an extra one I had, putting in custom lights and watching it go around and around. I just loved it and since there is practically no way to ever get an other one I am going to keep it for a while longer.

Anyone know what causes the animations (water fountains & entrance signs) in RCT2 to freeze up? I am used to seeing them go crazy when you 0 clearance but always go back when it is normalized. Ever since I got to the part of the park I am working on the animations have be getting stuck. Anyway, small update the 6 person racer slide is in and being tested and the swimming area is under construction, Instead of a large jungle gym with giant bucket I have put in a large pirate ship that has a slide coming in and out of it. Guests will be able to ride the slide and wonder all over the ship. Planning on putting lots of water features around and on the ship but this animation issue may put a stop to the idea. Not going to show much of what's going on tons of senery still needs to be put in. But I will toss you a bone and give you shot of the Pirate Ship. One other item, do you guys think water trikes and swimmers should be using the same water? Thinking about giving the trikes the ax and putting in more swimmers. In this picture we have the ship/slide combo. All the water features around the ship keep freezing up. I need some help. Suggestions anyone on how to solve this issue.

Have you tried adjusting what version of windows your trainers are using? Just checked mine, I posted a page back or so that I was running everything in XP. I was wrong, I use 95 for RCT2 and 8cars. Works great. In fact I am using 95 for all RCT games (1&2) and utilities for both. As for train length, no one has ever created a patch to allow the length of trains to function to work in 8cars or SOB trainers. -
OK, the Water Coaster is complete. After opening the park and seeing it operation with a tower full of guests this is now my favorite ride in the park. Below you will see pictures of the stair tower, turn table, on-ride, and the exit which has be combined into the building posted earlier that had no name. It still doesn't and neither does the water coaster. It is part of the Pirate Village area of the park and I have no idea what to call it. These pictures were taken when the trees where just stating to be placed. Meant to take them before the trees where in and almost forgot. Wanted you to see the ride before it was hidden in the trees. Sorry. You will also see a picture of an extra bridge that was put in to help guest flow. So that means I still have 2 left to get finished. Other work is being done all over the unfinished area of the park. You will see parts of 2 new buildings (they are not finished yet) and the east side tram has finally met it's final destination. Work has just started on the tram building and another restaurant near it. These updates should be coming in a week or so. As always, thanks for your support of this project. This bridge is one of 3 single path bridges in the park. While I was working on the water coaster I thought that the location of it's entrance might cause guest issues so I put in a path to take care of the problem before it happened. The second to the last hill on the ride is #7 it is one of 3 up and over conveyor lifts on the ride. The other 2 being hill's #5 and #8. Hill #6 is part of a double drop sequence. The first part of the double drop is hill #5. It can be seen just behind the curve. Hill #4 has no conveyor at it's bottom, once you go down you stay down for a few high speed turns. This is hill #3's up hill section, the conveyor is clearly seen in this shot. Water coaster hill #2, this one is high in the air it is a steep drop with a high speed conveyor lift back up. Visited the Great Wolf lodge the other weekend and their water coaster used conveyors so I decided to use them also. Until my visit to Great Wolf all water coasters I had been on in the past used high pressure water jets to get you up the next hill. This is the water coasters raft turn table. Once the raft climbs the conveyor to the top it does a 90 degree turn onto the conveyor that takes the raft to the loading station. Same building, different angle, when the guests get of the slide they can either exit through the building or go straight out to the main path. This picture is of the rides exit, it was combined with the unnamed building. The back of the entrance tower and the loading station. The front of the entrance tower. An entire ride shot. From here you can see most of the rides path, exit area, turn table, and entrance tower.

It looks like one of the supports on you corkscrew is not placed very well the coaster would hit the entire pole, maybe it's just the angle I'm seeing it from. Were did you get those multi color pirate roof tiles? I could really use those. -

WOW, that's great news to me, the last time I tried to put them in a folder it didn't work, now that I think about it I had the trainer on my desktop and the dll's in the folder. Thanks, that explained the problem. -

I think you could get rid of about half of the benches along that path. You seem to be missing all the gang tags. It is a Chicago Park right? Just kidding. The park does look nice, very peaceful. Great job on it so far. -

^ never had a problem with 8cars crashing on XP, that is what I run it on also. I use versions 1.21 and 1.32. Do you have the dll file(s) that came with 8cars on your desktop? It (they) need to be for it function properly. If you deleted them you need to get them back. Go to page 13 in this topic and re-download 8cars. Keep the trainer and it's dll together on your desktop. DO NOT put them in a folder and it should work fine. If it still doesn't work try going to properties and then compatibility, try ME or 2000 or 98, 95 and see it will run for you that way. Good luck and I hope it starts working for you. EDIT - Double checked what I run my trainers on. It is not XP it is Windows 95. I run everything RCT in 95. -

^ sometimes these things (contests) just get put on the back burner for people. Real life issues, other projects and so on. Don't take it too personally. Toss another one out, maybe just a simple coaster design contest something that could be done in a few weeks or better yet something other than an coaster like a mini golf or helicopters. Get yourself a landscape with the senery you want everyone to play with that is just big enough for such a contest and put it out there. CONGRATULATIONS thethrillseeker for finishing & winning! -
10ryansmith, thanks for coming out of your comfort zone to post, I know what it's like. I used to be the same way. Your post made my day! Yes there will be a download. I would be letting down myself and so many others including you if I didn't finish this park and release it. Chris Benvenuto, am I going to need to get the dart gun out and sedate you? Just kidding, your enthusiasm over the park made my day also. Thanks! Same shot with all the custom supports in place, next will be putting in the jungle and stair decoration. The water coaster all put together and functional.

^^ that seems like a it should be a simple type of merge much like the one from Coaster Force. To be honest I have had some major problems getting some things merged in the park I am working on. Like a wild mouse track to merge into a virgina reel and a wild mouse into a log flume. The problems have caused me to redesign many on the concepts in the park. If you can't get it working maybe Belgian Guy, NIN, or Goliath315 will see your question and can help you. ^ what kind of operating system are you trying to use 8cars on?
