  8. It's currently 70 degrees and cloudy here. It's what our fall consists of. It is supposed to get down to 38 tomorrow night/Friday morning however. BRRRRRR...Then it will be back to the mid 70s by this time next week...lol
  9. Back row, far right seat on Kumba is great after a recent refurb. For me however when it's been a while since the last one, I prefer 4th or 5th row right. Otherwise I get a massive headache. It's one of 2 or 3 B&M's that do this to me. Rougarou was one and Hulk would during the second half, but hadn't ridden since it was completely replaced. All the other B&Ms I've ridden I can marathon in any seat just fine.
  10. Home Parks (various visits throughout the year): Busch Gardens Tampa SeaWorld Orlando Returning to: Six Flags Over Georgia New To Me Parks (June 2019): The Park At OWA Six Flags Over Texas Six Flags Fiesta Texas SeaWorld San Antonio ZDT's (possibly) Galveston Island Historic Pleasure Pier Kemah Boardwalk Possible: Carowinds
  11. Metropolis Park should be open - it was operating during last year's HitP and furthermore, they have already installed the bases for the multicolor crystal holiday decorations in front of Justice League. Blue and white Christmas lights are also now installed on some of the buildings in that area. Scream machine, Blue Hawk, and all of Lickskillet will be closed. In fact, as soon as Fright Fest is over they will likely begin site work on Pandemonium and the new Screampunk District where Camp Slasher is currently located. I was just going by the rides listed to be open on the park's website/event page: https://www.sixflags.com/overgeorgia/special-events/holiday-in-the-park-event Superman and Justice League aren't listed to be open on there. I knew they were open last year since JL was new, but this year they have Twisted Cyclone open. Perhaps it was left off if it indeed will be open?
  12. Well I guess we know where the "new" picnic benches for Michigan's Adventure are coming from...lol
  13. ^I was very impressed with how much up-time it had during my 3 day visit to the park in June. I have read horror stories of people trying years to get on it in some FB groups...lol I just paid attention to when I saw it running and got in line. I just happen to be nearby and waited no more than 10 minutes each time. You were working (at least) one of the times I rode. You were in the booth back between the load & unload.
  14. It's going to be quite packed. I normally avoid that place like the plague on weekends, no matter what time of year. I'm actually going on a week night before Thanksgiving...lol Also, be aware that the back of the park where Superman, Justice League, Great American Scream Machine and Blue Hawk aren't open for Holiday In The Park (this year).
  15. Six Flags Over Georgia for Holiday In The Park the week of Thanksgiving. I'm finally returning after a 10-year hiatus. This will be the first time I've gone during the holidays, and it's a preview for 2019 for my partner who's never been (we bought platinum memberships). I'm looking forward to riding my 3rd RMC: Twisted Cyclone.
  16. Key to riding Racer & Beast: Don't sit in a wheel seat. I rode in the last car, middle row on both and they were perfectly fine.
  17. All the parks changed their passholder structure this month (BGW started last year). So anyone buying passes after they went in effect (October 4th), may not be able to get EZPay depending on where they live. If you have EZPay already, you should be good as long as you keep in good standing since you have a contract. I know I can't get it because I live in FL. It's not even an option when trying to buy online, but can buy it all at once. That's understandable in my case since well, we have 4 parks here.
  18. Actually, they offered me EZPay, though I chose to pay in full since this is kind of a one time thing for me, going to 2 SeaWorld parks next year. I live in southwest Missouri, so SWSA is the closest park in the chain to me. They probably have EZPay fenced geographically so that people who live closer to other SeaWorld parks can't get it, but I can confirm I am eligible even though I don't live in Texas. It may have something to due with proximity then. I actually wouldn't mind switching to their Platinum for the price. I'm planning to go in June. The (current) full price difference is only $12 more than what I pay a year now for just BGT & SWO. The only thing stopping me is the loss of benefits at the FL parks. I would still get free parking and in-park discounts. However I'd lose the free and reduced priced tickets for guests since those are only available at the parks in the state you buy the platinum from. There are other things as well I wouldn't be eligible for either here. While I've seen others say they were able to in the past get some of those offers at the kiosks, those were with the old pass system.
  19. I'm not sure why it posts like it did. I did a test quote of that messed up post and when I previewed it, it showed correctly. Here's the screenshot. I didn't change anything.
  20. I don't see anywhere on SWSA's website that you have to be a resident of Texas in order to purchase a Platinum pass from that park. It doesn't even say you have to be a TX resident to use EZPAy( however I attempted to purchase myself to see, and it would only allow full payment so it would appear you must be a resident of TX to get EZPay). The only thing it references in terms of usage is that you have to redeem it there first before using at any of the other parks: Full Details: I think one thing about all these various passes is they aren't consistent between each other. BGW has Memberships, while the rest are still calling them Annual Passes...even though they were updated to be more like BGW's memberships. Also, depending on the park, you can get the Platinum level no matter what state you live in with some, but not others. Same with EzPay. While SWSA, SWO & BGT require you to live in that state to use EZPay, BGW allows residents from all 50 states to use it. That may just have to do with state laws.
  21. CP has a hard enough time trying to staff the park, especially food service, during certain times. I don't see them going back to having to wash every dish in the park again.
  22. ^Many people don't like using their credit cards through their phones (yeah I know...so behind the times...lol). I personally don't either unless it's a last resort. I don't even have any payment info saved in it in case my phone goes missing (and someone smart enough to unlock it). However, I will make sure I have bought tickets online at home well before going. Unless there is something like a bring a friend where I have to go to the tickets windows to redeem, I never have need for standing in those lines.
