All Season FunPix is valid at all participating CF Parks. Michigan's Adventure, Dorney & Valleyfair are the only 3 that currently don't have it. -
Following the negative publicity surrounding the dispute between the Kentucky State Fair Board and Kentucky Kingdom, the request for the acre of property needed for Kentucky Flyer has been granted, allowing for construction on the project to resume. https://www.wave3.com/2018/10/17/state-approves-land-new-kentucky-kingdom-coaster/

Well I'm glad the changed their policy, as it is a good way to spread money across the chain. Do you have to activate the pass in San Antonio and does it have to be done within a certain time frame? It has to be redeemed at SW San Antonio before it can be used at the other parks. The pass expires one year from date of purchase (so not date redeemed/activated).

Interestingly I didn't find any bit of Racer rough on either side when I rode in June. I had already ridden the rest of the wooden coasters earlier in the day. I'm generally very sensitive to any sort of roughness...and nothing from it. Only thing uncomfortable to me at the park was Vortex. -

You are correct the park filled documents with the county which states they have a contract with B&M for a project which will be completed in 2020. The last time the park filled this paperwork was with GCI which turned out to be Mystic Timbers. The documents were for additions and enhancements for 2018-2020. The park got something from B&M this year....new seats for Diamondback. Doesn't mean there won't be a B&M for 2020, but it was brought up elsewhere. -

Kings Island will be announcing tomorrow morning at 10am the coaster to be removed. Get those tissues ready! https://twitter.com/KingsIslandPR/status/1045043409189244928 ^Invertigo doesn't seem to take up much space. Adventure Express? doubtful. I'm sticking with Vortex. -

If it is Vortex, there's still the land that was Dinosaurs Alive as well. IF they build a B&M Giga, I don't see reusing Vortex's station; saving some of that space for future flats. The could put the station on the other side of Racer where DA was. Yes the Antique Cars are going along side Racer on the Coney Mall midway side, but looks like the path will still be intact from what I've seen. It could then go around Racer, & between Beast (instead of going over/interfering with it) and use the area where Vortex's batwing is for the turn around. It would be a great tribute I suppose since that area is picturesque currently. I used Google Maps to kind of map out such a layout. Of course, it's not perfect using a straight tool, but gives a visual at least of what I mentioned above. This comes to about 6200 feet long, but there is plenty of room for them to work with. They could do the reverse, but it looks like it would have to interact with Beast which some certainly would hate. -
What is your next park?

Busch Gardens Tampa I'm taking my nephew there for his birthday next week. My sister is also coming and her BF. It will be their first time (they live in GA, and we took them to SeaWorld Orlando last year). -

You've obviously never ridden NIghthawk at Carowinds and been stuck there on the holding brakes while it took 10 minutes (or more) to dispatch the train in the station. It's not comfortable. Add in the sun? worse. It has a "shade structure". but it's translucent so it still bakes you in the summer heat. There is nothing wrong with Firehawk having a dual load station with only 2 trains. -
It still provides more capacity. Have you sat, well been left hanging on one of these for an extended time? I can tell you it's not fun. Issues in loading can be frequent on these rides at times. Using both sides not only helps with capacity, but in getting people off the ride. I would rather be standing in line waiting to ride, than several minutes hanging there because they are slow in loading the train in front of me.

The CGA master plan shows a Star Flyer. Valleyfair put one in last year. With the KBF debacle, I doubt California would approve another Windseeker in the state. Carowinds was in the process of a multi-year, multi-milion dollar refurb of Thunder Road and still took it out in 2015 due to unforeseen lift hill structural problems that were going to cost more than it was worth to keep. They also repainted a pair of slides for Carolina Harbor in 2016 to only rip them out at the end of that season for the new County Fair. Cedar Fair is not a newbie when it comes to rehabbing attractions and pulling them out a year later (or the same year). For all we know, Vortex, while perfectly safe to operate currently, may have some issues in the long run that we're not aware of that were found when doing the foundation refurb. Not saying they did, but it's in the realm of possibility. -
^The media event is October 4th. It did show for a short time on the website yesterday that the grand opening was October 4th. It was removed by the time I tried to look directly around noon yesterday. Here's the screen shot I saw: Remember...this was taken down soon after so it currently does not show this. With the media announcement that morning, it could very well open after they are through that day.
